He was shown again with the Marauders and fought with just a single harpoon. He later joined the Marauders gathered by Da'o Coy Manh against his will as the others, and attacked the X-Men. He was eventually found dead, having killed each other with Arclight. A harpoon is a long spear-like instrument used in fishing to catch fish or large marine mammals such as whales. It accomplishes this task by impaling the target animal, allowing the fishermen to use a rope or chain attached to the butt of the projectile to catch the animal. A harpoon can also be used as a weapon. In the shinobi world, ninjas usually use harpoons to capture the summons of its enemies during battle. More commonly the harpoons are used in battles in the water, where many times fish, sharks, piranhas or whales are summoned. Not much has been revealed regarding the early life of the Eskimo mutant known as Harpoon (Kodiak Noatak). The details of his recruitment by Mister Sinister to the group of assassins known as the Marauders remains similarly unrevealed. Relentlessly deadly and fiercely devoted, Harpoon invaded the Morlocks´ underground tunnels in New York City, intent on wiping out their entire population. Despite fierce resistance from the X-Men, they were merely distractions from the task at hand. While the other Marauders murdered Morlocks, Harpoon plunged his spear into Archangel´s wings, necessitating their later amputation. He also caused Shadowcat to become trapped in a phased state and seriously injured Colossus, temporarily preventing the mutant´s body from turning back into flesh from its steel fo The harpoon was a tool used by whalers for hunting whales. In the 19th century, the harpoon, a spear like instrument with a barbed head, was hand propelled. In less than a century, both the shape of and the means of propelling the harpoon was changed. By 1986, the harpoon was festooned with sharp stakes that prevented it from sliding out of the whale. The harpoon was equipped with an explosive that would do more damage to the whale and quickened the process of dying. A thick rope connected the harpoon to the whaling ship, which fired the harpoon into the whale via a harpoon gun. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) A harpoon is a long fishing spear with a rope or chain attached to the butt of the projectile to draw the creature in.Harpoons are used mainly to hunt large water animals such as whales. In middle-earth harpoons were sometimes used as weapons, especially by the black númenóreans, lossoth, corsairs of umbar and the umli. There is an unlimited amount and only one can be thrown at a time. Instead of aiming with a laser sight, a more traditional cross-hair appears when using them. The harpoons do not fly in a straight line; rather, they realistically arc with distance. They are the only weapon that can be used against Del Lago. It takes about 8-12 harpoons to kill it depending on the difficulty level. It is possible to hit Del Lago with at least three spears every time it charges at Leon's boat. The Harpoon is a flail weapon that can only be acquired from the Goblin Army event. It can be dropped from any of the goblins during the event. It is a ranged weapon that fires a harpoon on a chain. It does not require ammo and is similar to the Ball O' Hurt, with the exception that the harpoon is smaller than the ball, with a longer reach, thus is harder to aim as it has a distinctive arc and will retract when it has reached its maximum length, or when it collides with a surface or enemy. File:Terraria Harpoon The harpoon is for use in weapons in the Fallout 4 add-on Far Harbor. Image:Harpoon 001.jpg|Kodiak Noatak (Earth-616) A harpoon is a long spear-like instrument used in fishing, whaling, sealing, and other marine hunting to catch fish or large marine mammals such as whales. The harpoon is a tool used in Fishing to catch certain types of fish. All types of harpoons (except the standard harpoon) can be wielded. The level requirements for wielding each harpoon differ. A harpoon is a melee weapon, available in all varieties of metals, although its power and speed are less favorable than many other weapons. All hatchets except for the Dragon harpoon and Celestial harpoon can be smithed using the Smithing skill. Both these items can instead be found from various monsters throughout RuneScape, however the Celestial harpoon can only be found in the Celestial Dungeon. A harpoon can be used to catch Tunas and Swordfish in F2P worlds. This piece of equipment can be used at Karamja fishing spots. Harpoons can be obtained from all fishing shops, excluding Hank's Fishing Shop in Lumbridge, Fernahei's Fishing Hut in Shilo Village, and the Fishing Guild Shop in the Fishing Guild, for 45 coins. Harpoons can also be obtained from a spawn inside the Fishing Guild by the exit door, or as a drop from Dagannoths. A harpoon can be stored on the tool belt. In order to fish with a harpoon after having completed the respective barbarian training, a harpoon must be placed in your inventory, even if one has already been stored in the tool belt. The Harpoon is used as a fishing tool that the player can use to catch certain fish in areas across Soulsplit. Harpoons can be bought by trading Bob in any of his shops, he sells the harpoon for 20 coins and is a worthwhile tool for any fisherman to use. Most players use this tool when they are fishing in Catherby, due to the closeness of the bank and the ease of fishing. The Harpoon is a weapon cut from Half-Life 2. It is carried by the Fisherman in Half-Life 2: Lost Coast but never used. A Harpoon is an item which is used for catching raw tuna, raw swordfish, and raw shark through the fishing skill. To use a harpoon, players must have level 35 fishing, have the harpoon in their inventory, and then click on a fishing spot where a harpoon is required. Players can buy harpoons from Gerrant's Fishy Business in Port Sarim or Harry's Fishing Shack in Catherby for 5 coins. Harpoons can be obtained from all fishing shops, excluding Hank's Fishing Shop in Lumbridge, the Shilo Village Fishing Shop and the fishing shop in the Fishing Guild, for 45 coins. Harpoons can also be obtained from a spawn inside the Fishing Guild by the exit door, or as a drop from Dagannoths. A harpoon can be stored in the toolbelt. The harpoon in question is kept in the Third City by the Maerum Queen - she gives it to April, to kill the snapjaw lurking in the wreckage of the White Dragon. Obtained from the Queen's palace in the Third City. Captain Harpoon was a ghost pirate who sailed the universe in his Ghost Ship with his crew. His goal was to be the greatest ghost pirate in the galaxy. He had been savouring a particular bit of evil magic for a long time to pull of his plan. He had several Energy Tattoos on his body which could be used to come to live and take energy form. However, this could only be done once. Harpoon activated a tattoo of a serpent on his chest to break through the Phantom Prison Panet's Ghost Field to kidnap Captain Ahab and force Moby-Dick to do his bidding. The Harpoon is the twelfth weapon in the Spear Class. It can be found beginning on Level 55 of the Dungeon. Merchants will sell it beginning at Level 16. It has a value of 16410 and a rarity of 905. Attack radius is 9; strike radius is 11. It takes up 4 x 1 inventory space. The artifact version of the Harpoon is Fisherman's Friend. A basic throwing spear that is commonly used in fishing. Rick throws it towards an enemey, and if it hits, ensures a one-hit kill. Harpoon is the Title of a group of Rocket Launchers with increased accuracy and rocket velocity. They come only in single shot variants. Examples are on the talk page. For a wieldable alternative, see the barb-tail harpoon or the more expensive alternative, Dragon Harpoon. The Harpoon is an Agency weapon in Crackdown 2. It is unlocked at level 4 Firearms.

A Harpoon plays a crucial role in the stroy of the Baroque Cycle when Eliza throws one into the leg of Jack Shaftoe before he is trapped as a Galley Slave, and which causes him to suffer from an unidentified fever, which appears to cure him of his Syphilis <default>Harpoon</default> Obtained From: Location: Appearance: One of the legends the Maerum have concerning the Waterstiller is that she will kill a snapjaw with her own spear. The harpoon in question is kept in the Third City by the Maerum Queen - she gives it to April, to kill the snapjaw lurking in the wreckage of the White Dragon. Obtained from the Queen's palace in the Third City. From [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Harpoon]] harpon < [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Harpoon]] harpaga < [[w:|]][[Category: derivations|Harpoon]] ἁρπαγή (harpagē), “‘hook’”) < ἁρπάζω (harpazō), “‘to snatch away, to carry off, to seize, to captivate’”). File:Terraria Harpoon The Harpoon does 25 ranged damage and attacks with different speeds depending on the distance. It can fire as fast as a Minishark provided the player is firing from a 1 block distance. With flails, a good strategy when facing a larger group of enemies is to get to an elevated position (or jump) and shoot at a target from the distance, as the projectile will then hit said enemy and, while coming back, damage everything it touches. The Harpoon acts as a mass on a chain, and is affected by gravity. As such, it is useful for firing over walls to hit enemies on the other side. The weapon will not latch into the target and pull it back towards the player, but will simply hit them and return back. Harpoons can be shot straight through Wood Platforms, making it easy to safely attack from above. If the player is facing an enemy up close while the flail of the Harpoon is away, it will be hit with normal Harpoon knockback. He also caused Shadowcat to become trapped in a phased state and seriously injured Colossus, temporarily preventing the mutant´s body from turning back into flesh from its steel form. During the demonic invasion of New York, Harpoon was killed in a conflict with the X-Men. Clones of him and the other Marauders have been seen since. Players cannot wield a harpoon, and therefore it takes up one inventory slot unless it is on the tool belt. The harpoon is not a one time use object, therefore players can use a harpoon to catch as many fish as they like. Before the introduction of the tool belt, many people preferred to use the barb-tail harpoon over the regular harpoon because it can be wielded, allowing for one more inventory space and therefore slightly more efficient fishing. However, the harpoon can be placed in tool belt giving same amount of fish carried in inventory as Barb-tail harpoon offers. The harpoon is also the tertiary ingredient in infusing Ibis pouches. Players may receive harpoons from opening a box of summoning ingredients, a possible reward from the Familiarisation Distraction and Diversion. The closest bank to a fishing store that sells 1000 harpoons is in Catherby. The Harpoon is a weapon cut from Half-Life 2. It is carried by the Fisherman in Half-Life 2: Lost Coast but never used. Once Moby-Dick was under Harpoon's command, he started raiding Space Liners. But the Ghostbusters, Futura and Jessica Wray managed to free Ahab and turn the tide using Moby-Dick. Presumably, Harpoon and his pirate crew ended up as prisoners on the Phantom Prison Planet themselves. A harpoon can be used to catch Tunas and Swordfish in F2P worlds. This piece of equipment can be used at Karamja fishing spots. The harpoon was a tool used by whalers for hunting whales. All hatchets except for the Dragon harpoon and Celestial harpoon can be smithed using the Smithing skill. Both these items can instead be found from various monsters throughout RuneScape, however the Celestial harpoon can only be found in the Celestial Dungeon. Each type of metal harpoon gives the player an additional chance of receiving fish, also the higher tier harpoons have special hidden bonuses.
