The Lich King is a powerful entity of pure evil in the Warcraft universe who is the supreme leader of the undead army known as the Scourge. He is not so much a character as an evil force created by the demon lord Kil'jaeden, originally as a tool to control the Scourge, which Kil’Jaeden originally created to further the ends of the Burning Legion but that later grew completely out of control and became an equal or greater threat than the Legion in their own right. The Lich King was an entity created by Kil'jaeden the Deceiver from the spirit of the orcish shaman Ner'zhul. Initially trapped within the Frozen Throne, the Lich King eventually merged with the human Arthas Menethil and they became the new Lich King. He is the creator of the Scourge and rules over it telepathically from his throne atop the Icecrown Glacier. The current Lich King sits upon the Frozen Throne, encased in ice, locked in a subconscious battle between the soul of Bolvar and that of Ner'Zhul as Arthas did long ago... The Leech King var engang et menneske. Hans menneskelige navn var Arthas Han var leder af nogle grupper af The Horde. Arthas var på jagt efter kællingen Mal'Ganis men fandt kummefryseren og bollede sin Dværge ven, Muradin Bronzebeard for den. Arthas var en sindsyg emil stabil, han levede længe til han døde. Han nåede også at confirme illuminati og ingravere en trekant i sit sværd. Sikke en Mark Hvalberg, æh? Om 3 år når Blizzard Entertainment IGEN oplever at alle deres medlemmer forlader dem, vil The Lich King på en eller anden måde komme tilbage igen. Because the plot demands it. Bolvar Fordragon, doomed by the events at the Warathgate and the seething torture that Menethil had inflicted upon him, took up the crown of domination as his own and became the third and current king of the Scourge. This was hidden from the world, to keep them free from the tyranny of the scourge and the horrifying truth.
