Stargates are the gateways between the stars. Almost all the ships in New Eden travel from one solar system to another using these pathways, and are a vital apparatus for day to day activities. In high security and low security space, these gates are guarded by sentry guns. Stargates cannot, however, be used by capital ships such as carriers, dreadnoughts, super carriers, and titans. These ships must travel by using their on-board jump drives, jump portals, or a sufficiently large wormhole. The Stargates, also called the Astria Porta in Ancient and the Chappa'ai im Goa'uld, are a series of devices, built by the Ancients, that can create Wormholes between distant worlds. The Stargates are often considered to be the Ancients greatest creation, and the Ancients are often called the Gate Builders. The Earth based Stargates have been operated either by the government of the United States of America or the government of Russia. The gates on Earth were found in Giza (brought there by Ra) and in Antarctica (probably by the Ancients themselves). To enter coordinates you use a device called a Dial Home Device (DHD). A device known as a Stargate destroyer can be used to destroy a Stargate. This was once attempted by Anubis to destroy Earth. (Stargate Franchise: Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, etc.) A Stargate is a device which is used to travel through a wormhole. In synchromysticism, Stargates often symbolize the ascending consciousness of humankind. It also represents the Sun's alignment with Galactic Center at the end of the Mayan Calendar (December 21 2012, 11:11am UT). Wormholes allow a person to travel through space and time or between dimensions. The Stargates, also called the Astria Porta in Ancient and the Chappa'ai in Goa'uld, are a series of devices, built by the Ancients, that can create stable artificial wormholes between distant worlds. The Stargates are often considered to be the Ancients' greatest creation, and so the Ancients are often called the Gate Builders. The Ancients, the Nox, the Asurans, the Tollan, and the Ori are the only known races that have managed to build Stargates. A Stargate is an obstacle in the Wonderland Adventures Trilogy. It looks identical to an Exit Gate from the Classic Trilogy of Wonderland, and will only open once you walk up to it with the required amount of Gold Stars. It does not take stars away from you, so you can use them again on other Stargates later. There are three Stargates in Wonderland Adventures: The warships of the protoss fleet require a much stronger warp link in order to materialize than a standard gateway can provide. The immense stargate is capable of calling ships from high orbit or across immense distances to appear on a planet surface. The construction of one or more stargates at a protoss base is a sure sign that it has become a major staging point for an offensive. A Stargate or Boom Tube is an extra dimensional point-to-point travel portal opened by a mother box used primarily by residents of the twin-planets, New Genesis and Apokolips. These portals allow people to travel interstellar distances, and between dimensions, quickly by creating an apparent tube between two points through which people can travel. They are powered by the mysterious X-element, which serves as a matter threshold. So as you can see it is a GOAT franchise. (TNG: "Haven") Stargate is a military science fiction franchise, initially conceived by Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin. The first film in the franchise was simply titled Stargate. It was originally released on October 28, 1994 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Carolco, and became a worldwide hit grossing nearly US$200 million worldwide. Adapted from the Wikipedia article on Stargate. Stargates, also called Astria Porta in Ancient and Chappa'ai in Goa'uld, as well as various other names across the universe, are a series of devices built by the Ancients which create wormholes, allowing for near-instantaneous transportation between two distant points in space. The Stargates are often considered to be the Ancients' greatest creation and thus, the Ancients are often referred to as the Gate Builders. The Ancients, the Asurans, the Tollan with the help of the Nox, and the Ori are the only known races capable of constructing Stargates. The Stargate is a decorated gate that allows instantaneous spontaneous travel between two points in the Universe. This could make a good sci-fi television series with the same basic outline as Star Trek but without having to spend all that money on CG starships, but unfortunately it is used by geeks on the scientific video journal Star Gate. The idea of a fictional series was taken from a blind Jamaican sheep who was eating crumpets while drinking Russian vodka on toast. The first Stargate is currently in the Whitehouse under heavy guard by a blind man, a deaf man, an ugly man and PMS. It is currently used to transport nuclear weapons to nuke Mars and a pigeon nest on the White House. The second one, well that's on Star Gate. The Stargate is an advanced Protoss structure used to transport ships across large distances. A stargate in the 1987-1996 animated TV-series is a Triceraton technology, which the Triceratons use to create a warp in the spacetime fabric. In the Night of the Dark Turtle episode the Triceratons, after arriving in their spacecraft to Earth, open a stargate wide enough for Earth to slip through. They then wait for the Earth's orbit to carry the planet towards the stargate and finally crossing into it, transporting Earth across the galaxy towards the Triceraton homeworlds where they've planned to exploit it's natural resources. Stargate is a game that was released for the Super Nintendo and Game Boy based on the film of the same name. The film had a mixed initial critical reception, earning both praise and criticism for its atmosphere, story, characters, and graphic content. Nevertheless, Stargate gained a cult following and became a commercial success worldwide. Devlin and Emmerich gave the rights to the franchise to MGM when they were working on their 1996 film Independence Day (the rights to the Stargate film are currently owned by StudioCanal, with Lions Gate Entertainment handling most distribution in terms of international theatrical and worldwide home video releases); however, MGM retains the domestic television rights. OK, You're still here so here we go: Stargate refers to the science fiction media franchise owned by MGM that began in 1994 with the feature film Stargate (movie). The subsequent body of works detail an elaborate fictional universe where Earth battles hostile aliens possessing superior technology or supernatural powers. The film's story is continued in novel form, in three live-action television series (Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis and Stargate Universe), one animated series (Stargate Infinity), and in other derivative works like Stargate Worlds games. The stargates, also known as Astria Porta in Ancient and the Chappa'ai in Goa'uld, are devices designed by the Ancients that can create artificial wormholes between distant worlds. The "Stargate Network" is often considered to be the Ancients' greatest creation, and as such, they are often referred to as the "Gate-Builders." Alongside their inventing species, the Nox, Asurans, Tollan (with limited assistance from the Nox), and Ori are the only known races that have demonstrated an ability to construct stargates on their own. The original stargate design was devised by an Alteran called Amelius, from an idea he formulated the night prior to the Alteran exodus from their home galaxy for the Milky Way. It is unknown if he actually built the first of the devices, but they are, nevertheless, among the oldest examples of Ancient technology found in the universe; the gate discovered in Antarctica on Earth has been estimated to be well over 50 million years old. It was originally released on October 28, 1994 by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Carolco, and became a worldwide hit grossing nearly US$200 million worldwide. In 1997, Jonathan Glassner and Brad Wright co-developed Stargate SG-1, a television series intended to continue the story laid down by the original film. Several roles from the film were reprised, including the main characters Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill. The Stargate Command setting is located in the Cheyenne Mountain military complex. Stargate productions center on the premise of a "Stargate", a ring-shaped alien device that creates a wormhole enabling personal transportation to complementary devices located cosmic distances away. Under the control of the United States government, the Stargate discovered on Earth is kept a secret from the public. Many ancient Earth mythologies are shown to be the result of aliens who had visited Earth posing as gods by using their technology to give the impression of deific power. While some of these aliens had benign intentions, a race later known in Stargate SG-1 as the "Goa'uld" used Stargates to move slaves from Ancient Egypt to other habitable planets, simultaneously being responsible for the Egyptian religion and culture. Following a successful rebellion, they fled Earth, and the Stargate was buried and forgotten until modern times, when the United States acquired it following an archaeological dig. Rediscovering the function of the Stargate, the galaxy is begotten as a source of knowledge, as well as threats, and the attention of the Goa'uld is drawn once more to Earth. Adapted from the Wikipedia article on Stargate. Stargate refers to the science fiction media franchise owned by MGM that began in 1994 with the feature film Stargate (movie). The warships of the protoss fleet require a much stronger warp link in order to materialize than a standard gateway can provide. The immense stargate is capable of calling ships from high orbit or across immense distances to appear on a planet surface. The construction of one or more stargates at a protoss base is a sure sign that it has become a major staging point for an offensive. Dieser Film wurde in den Fernsehserien "Stargate – Kommando SG-1", "Stargate Atlantis" und "Stargate Universe" fortgesetzt. This is to top secret for you to know about. Leave now and forget you ever came here. NOW! OK, You're still here so here we go: The Stargates, also called the Astria Porta in Ancient and the Chappa'ai in Goa'uld, are a series of devices, built by the Ancients, that can create stable artificial wormholes between distant worlds. The Stargates are often considered to be the Ancients' greatest creation, and so the Ancients are often called the Gate Builders. The Ancients, the Nox, the Asurans, the Tollan, and the Ori are the only known races that have managed to build Stargates. The original Stargate design was invented by an Alteran named Amelius, from an idea he formulated the night before the Alterans left their home galaxy for the Milky-Way. It is unknown if he actually built the first of the Stargate Network. They are among the oldest examples of Ancient technology found in the Milky-Way galaxy, the Stargate found in Antarctica on Earth has been estimated to be over 50 million years old. Stargate is a blasphemous TV show starring those dang Vancouver Atheist actors. __TOC__ The Stargate is a decorated gate that allows instantaneous spontaneous travel between two points in the Universe. It is made of a strange element not native to Earth called Boomtonium which is also known as Naquadah (Or Naquada, or Naqada, or...). Which can be super charged to form a wormhole through space-time connecting it to other Stargates, closets, Narnia, lockers or on occasion, the cages of small white mice. It is also used as the exterior hull of earths man made spaceships, a bad choice as its also used in nuclear weapons (They almost blow up the earth. Multiple times) If you spin the ring on the Stargate around properly, it makes all sorts of cool whooshing noises and connects you to whatever Stargate is on the other end of the address you just dialed. If you set it to the combination written on the sticker on the back, it will open your locker from tenth grade that you closed with all your notes inside and couldn't remember how to open again. There's also a rumor that if you set it to one combination in particular, it will spontaneously generate a lightly toasted ham and cheese sandwich, then explode violently. If you correctly dial an address, the gate will suck energy from the nearest object of great mass, i.e. your mom. The Stargate was designed by American professor The Guyver, who one night found himself locked in a broom closet filled with only turpentine, several tins of housepaint, a couple rat-traps and a dustpan, and overnight was able to invent a new system for instantaneous travel between planets, as well as the other effects mentioned above. James Spader, Earth's finest actor, decoded the Guyver's secret code and was the first person to put his face in the Stargate. Filmakers Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich once claimed to have been the ones who actually designed and built the Stargates; alleged proof for this claim was a Stargate prototype Devlin had stored in a corner of his basement. The Guyver, on the other hand, claims that he sold his Stargate patent to Devlin and Emmerich, only to be told at the time that an instantaneous intergalactic transport system would not be able to sell. Soon afterward, he discovered that multiple operational Stargates had been built and set up without his knowledge nor with any credit given to him. The Guyver filed a lawsuit against Devlin and Emmerich, but the case was eventually settled out of court. On occasion the Stargate will transport people into the Thunderdome, which will cause thousands of mothers basements dwelling CHUDS to chant for more. The Stargate is also able to transport any living thing to the ultimate fighting championship held in a large Native American non flying, fire-breathing dragon. People who walk through Stargates often like to depict themselves as gods to the ignorant and backwards races they encounter, and give themselves funny names like Baal, and Oscar Wilde. Stargate is a game that was released for the Super Nintendo and Game Boy based on the film of the same name. (SG1: "The Ark of Truth") The Stargate is an advanced Protoss structure used to transport ships across large distances. A Stargate is a device which is used to travel through a wormhole. Synchromusickology identifies the human ear as a variation on the stargate theme. The soundgate resonates with Middle C and wormholes, as songs that become stuck in an individual's head are called earworms. Earworms are also known as Involuntary Musical Imagery.
