Thorin Oakenshield
rdfs:comment
Thorin Oakenshield is the leader of the band of dwarves who wants to reclaim his lost kingdom and gold from the dragon, Smaug. He used a piece of bark as a shield in the battle against Azog, thus being dubbed 'Oakenshield' Thorin Oakensheild was the king of dwarfs. When he wore his cursed crown, he became an asshole and nobody has liked him ever since. He kills any suspected tratiors and puts the rest of the dwarfs into prison camps. He became the dwarf version of Stalin. However, while admiring his riches, a white Orc came and killed Thorin. However, they were both standing on a giant block of gold that happened to have emotions. That giant block of gold then ate the white Orc and Thorin's corpse. For nearly a century, Thorin II tended to his people, building then numbers and wealth. Then, in T.A. 2941, he resolved to lead them on a quest to take back Erebor from Smaug and to claim the Dragon's booty for their own. Blessed by Gandalf, the expedition of Thorin and Company succeeded, but Thorin II (the just-crowned King Under the Mountain) was killed shortly thereafter in the Battle of Five Armies, wielding mercilessly the Elf-sword Orcrist until he fell. His dying words to Bilbo Baggins, praising the Hobbit's possession of both courage and wisdom, is one of Middle-earth's most moving farewells. Thorin II was entombed under the Lonely Mountain with the Arkenstone of Thrain, a brilliant white gem of inestimable value, upon his chest. The Orcrist was laid upon his tomb, glowing a vivid Recruit the King in exile, Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thráin, son of Thrór, and follow his journey to reclaim his birthright. He was succeeded by his cousin, Dáin Ironfoot.
