"Starting at the bottom of the Sith Heirachy he soon proved himself to be a prodigy of the Force and succeeded in overcoming all of the trials charged upon him by his masters and instructors, quickly ascending to the rank of Sith Inquisitor. During one of his trials he would encounter the Force Ghost of his Sith ancestor and discover his true heritage, embracing his role as the Heir of Kallig and resolving to restore his bloodline to greatness. Considered a maverick among his Sith peers, he was a generally calm and levelheaded individual who generally avoided partaking in needless violence and held much respect for his teachers, as well as caring greatly for his companions. He tended to employ diplomacy and reason over fighting but also possessed a more cunning streak that allowed him to manipulate others to his will. During his lifetime he had desired to reform the Sith Empire into a more benevolent government that protected its people from injustice and undue tyranny, but this was less out of compassion and more of a by-product of his intellectual personality that opposed traditional Sith savagery, which he regarded as mindless. He also wanted to further advance the empire technologically and played a key role in the development of the Silencer superweapon that was capable of destroying several fleets at once, causing a devastating blow towards the Republic. As he continued his rise to power he would develop a bitter rivalry with Darth Thanaton, a member of the Sith Emperor’s Dark Council. The clash between Kallig’s unorthodox reformist ideals and Thanaton’s more traditionalist outlook culminated towards a final duel within the Dark Council Chamber, where he would defeat his rival and be awarded his seat at the Dark Council, where the Sith Lords rechristened him as ‘Darth Imperius’ for his devotion to the Empire and he was put in charge of overseeing the Sphere of Ancient Knowledge. Having secured the second highest leadership within the government he was now accountable to only the Sith Emperor himself and spent the next years travelling the galaxy with his crew on the hunt for more ancient Sith artifacts to increase his knowledge and power. During the Galactic War when the Sith Emperor was seemingly destroyed by the Jedi and several Dark Council members perished either at the hands of the Republic or as a result of internal feuding, he would work alongside his close ally Moff Pyron to root out Revanist infiltrators within his own power base. In the aftermath of Revan’s defeat by the Emperor’s Wrath and the Sith Emperor’s revival that drained all life on the planet Ziost, Darth Marr stated that Imperius was the only Dark Council member he could still trust. Around 3640 BBY, Imperius alongside Marr ventured into Wild Space in a Imperial and Republic joint fleet in search for the revived Sith Emperor in order to destroy him again due to the threat he posed against all life in the galaxy, as well as to deal with unidentified invaders from unknown space who had raided several planets of both the Empire and Republic. Sensing the Emperor’s presence they were suddenly assaulted by the Eternal Fleet and captured by Prince Arcann, who took them to the Eternal Empire’s capital of Zakuul where they were brought before the empire’s leader, Emperor Valkorian, who Marr identified as the new incarnation of the Sith Emperor. Valkorian offered that they join him however Marr refused and was subsequently killed. Afterwards the Emperor revealed his unique interest in Imperius and reiterated his offer. Sensing his overwhelming power, Imperius submitted and Valkorian proceeded to transfer some of his energy into him, however the process was interrupted when Arcann mortally wounded the Emperor midway through the ritual, prompting him to transfer his very consciousness into Imperius, knocking him out. Following this he would be suspended in carbonite on the orders of Arcann who had assumed leadership of the Eternal Empire. Five years later he would be rescued by Lana Beniko and find that both the Empire and Republic had been subdued and fractured by the rapidly rising Eternal Empire. Realizing that all he had worked for over the years had been lost: the Empire he had devoted much time to reform, his trusted companions, his entire power base he had worked hard to grow and his Darth title holding no official power anymore; Imperius resolved to acquire revenge against the Eternal Empire and soon after became simply known as the ‘Outlander’. With the spirit of Valkorian still trapped inside his mind, the man once known as Imperius became the leader of an Imperial-Republic alliance to oppose the Eternal Empire and its oppression."@en .
