DAL Dal Dal Dal Dal Dal Dal Dal
rdfs:comment
Dal is the little sister of Taeyang. She is about 13 years old. Dal thinks of Pullip as her rival. The Dal body is articulated similar to Pullip. Her eyes move from side to side like Pullip, but do not blink. Dal can be customized. Pullip - Namu - Taeyang - Dal - Byul - Little Pullip - Little Dal - Angel Pullip - Angel Dal - Ai Doll - Hestia - J-Doll - Pinky:St In the Cardassian language, dal is an Cardassian officer rank title which, in translation to Federation Standard, is approximately equivalent to a commander of comparable military or naval service organizations, such as Starfleet. The title of dal was in use in the 24th century by the Cardassian Guard agency of the Cardassian Central Command. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers) Dals are usually found as second-in-command to Guls, or as commanders of smaller vessels. Dal was one of the original members of the Mallrats. He was neighbours with his close friend Amber before the virus. Once the adults died, Dal had planned to flee the city to the country-side with Amber where they could harvest their own food. But they instead found their way to the Mall and formed a tribe amongst their new friends. Being an engineer, Dal's practical skills have aided fellow member and best friend, Jack, into preserving the Mallrats of food and water. In the Cardassian Guard dal was an officer rank, roughly equal to that of commander in Starfleet. It was superior to dalin and subordinate to a gul, but could still command a smaller starship. It was used during the 24th century. After reading the Thals' historical records, the First Doctor claimed that the Dals were the "forebear" of the Dalek race, and that "Dals" was what the Thals called the Daleks at the time of the neutronic war that mutated the surviving Thals and Dalek ancestors. (TV: "The Ambush") According to another account, the Daleks were descended from the Kaleds. (TV: Genesis of the Daleks) The Thal Dyoni said that the Daleks were originally teachers, while the Thal leader Temmosus said they were philosophers.
From [[w:|]][[Category:da: derivations|Dal]] dalr (“‘valley’”). In the Cardassian language, dal is an Cardassian officer rank title which, in translation to Federation Standard, is approximately equivalent to a commander of comparable military or naval service organizations, such as Starfleet. The title of dal was in use in the 24th century by the Cardassian Guard agency of the Cardassian Central Command. (TLE - Terok Nor novel: Day of the Vipers) Dals are usually found as second-in-command to Guls, or as commanders of smaller vessels. (ST novella: The Slow Knife) After reading the Thals' historical records, the First Doctor claimed that the Dals were the "forebear" of the Dalek race, and that "Dals" was what the Thals called the Daleks at the time of the neutronic war that mutated the surviving Thals and Dalek ancestors. (TV: "The Ambush") According to another account, the Daleks were descended from the Kaleds. (TV: Genesis of the Daleks) The Thal Dyoni said that the Daleks were originally teachers, while the Thal leader Temmosus said they were philosophers. (TV: "The Escape") The Dals were extinct by the time of the Thousand Year War between the Thals and the Kaleds, as were the Tharons, as a result of a programme of genocide orchestrated by the Kaleds. A few words of the Dals' language were preserved, such as "Varga" meaning "devourer". (AUDIO: Purity) Davros, the creator of the Daleks, found a prophecy in the forbidden Book of Predictions, written in the extinct language of the Dals, which stated "...and on that day, men will become as gods." In the original language, the final word was pronounced "Dal-ek." (AUDIO: Guilt) Varna, a Kaled from the time of the Thousand Year War, said that "Dal" was a Kaled word for warrior. (AUDIO: The Lights of Skaro) Η ονομασία " " σχετίζεται ετυμολογικά με την λέξη "[[ ]]". In the Cardassian Guard dal was an officer rank, roughly equal to that of commander in Starfleet. It was superior to dalin and subordinate to a gul, but could still command a smaller starship. It was used during the 24th century. When the virus started to effect children, Dal left with the Mallrats to Eagle Mountain in search of the antidote. An explosion occured on the mountain which resulted in Amber's presumed death. Initially heartbroken, he carried on helping the Mallrats to distribute the antidote for afflicted children. Later on, new Mallrat Alice allowed Dal to run her farm, fulfilling his dream of working in the countryside. He started producing food to trade for the tribe. When The Chosen took over the city, Dal was briefly captured but escaped to aid the resistance movement. He was reunited with his best friend Amber, who was believed to have died on Eagle Mountain perviously. Tragically, Dal was killed when he fell off a carpark balcony, after attempting to flee from The Chosen guards in a mission gone wrong. Dal is buried on a mountaintop overlooking the city. Wikipedia Article About Dal on Wikipedia Dal is a term common to many South Asian languages referring to pulses stripped of their outer hulls and split, as well as the soup or porridge-like preparation with spices such as turmeric and cumin that is a mainstay of northern Indian cuisine. This preparations virtually always accompanies boiled rice or (usually unleavened) bread. Dal's South Indian counterpart is called sambar, incorporating tomatoes and other vegetables, tamarind and a somewhat different spicing scheme especially using curry leaves (Murraya koenigii). Hulling pulses improves digestibility and palatability at a cost of some nutritional value and fiber content, not unlike that suffered in the milling of whole grains into refined grains. While he is mentioned, as part of his son's name, nothing is known about Dal.
