Barroth Barroth
rdfs:comment
is a large monster found in the Monster Hunter universe and resembles a dinosaur-based creature covered in rocky skin with a wide-head that can be used as a battering-ram.Barroth attacks via swinging it's powerful tail, emitting a roar that stuns it's enemies, shaking off parts of its rocky hide and charging - using it's large head to bulldoze enemies.Barroth can also dig into the ground in order to travel quickly from area to area and is aggressive towards people. Barroth are Brute Wyverns uniquely adapted to living in arid desert environments. While normally docile, they will become territorial if disturbed and are capable of using their heavy head to smash through the environment. Unlike most Brute Wyverns, Barroth are insectivores and are known to attack Altaroth nests in order to devour their occupants. Barroth is a Brute Wyvern introduced in Monster Hunter 3. *Barroth now takes more time to recover after a charge, even when enraged. However, it is now able to use a hipcheck, much like Uragaan and Deviljho. *Barroth is able fling mud behind him after a charge in G rank. However, it can't do this when low on stamina or when its head is broken.

*The inspiration for Barroth came from observing the "movement of bulldozers on a construction site". http://www.next-gen.biz/features/interview-monster-hunter-tri *Barroth is the first Brute Wyvern encountered in Monster Hunter 3. *The Guild Sweetheart says that a blunt weapon, such as a Hammer, must be used to break off Barroth's head ridge. It's not required to use a Hammer in order to do so, but due to the fact that the head crest is hard bone, it's much easier with a Hammer. Hammers are the only weapons capable of not bouncing off Barroth's head if under blue sharpness . She may just be hinting to the player of this mechanic. *The Barroth is the only Monster in both Monster Hunter Tri and Monster Hunter Portable 3rd capable of inflicting "Muddy". In Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Rust Duramboros was introduced, which also has this ability. *When its head is broken while covered in mud, Barroth may drop a shiny in the same spot where its head piece falls.  *Barroth will throw fewer mud chunks when coated in less mud. *When low on stamina, Barroth's charges become much slower. *In the arena, Barroth can not regain its mud. *When Barroth is enraged, it moves faster. It also chains its bite with a charging bite, like how Great Wroggi and Great Baggi do. *When in the same area with a Great Jaggi, the Barroth will sometimes be attacked by the Great Jaggi and Jaggi. *Barroth's roar requires Earplugs to block. *Even though Barroth is not in Monster Hunter 4, you can get it's armor by trading monster parts for Barroth parts.

Barroth usually remain beneath the mud, perhaps to shield themselves from heat; they are even known to attack by flinging mud. They will charge in a frenzy at anything that disturbs their bogs. Barroth usually remain beneath the mud, perhaps to shield themselves from heat; they are even known to fling mud to attack.
