Cannon Cannon Cannon Cannon
rdfs:comment
Cannons are the main armament of Pirate ships. Guybrush Threepwood was shot out of a cannon for money at a circus on Melee Island. He shot himself out of a cannon to get to the shore of Monkey Island from his ship The Sea Monkey. When the young vendor on Plunder Island called Kenny Falmouth ran out of his shifty business of his lemonade stand and deciding to do an honest trade as a supplier of cannons. His wares included the complete line from Bob's Big Bore Boomer Cannon Inc. These include (from least to most powerful): __FORCETOC__ Image:Help.png The Cannon is a siege unit available in the midgame of several Civilization games. This sort of item contributes to the ships cannon attack, cannon fight radius, cannon fire angle and cannon loading time. These stats cannot be upgraded using refining stones. Cannons cannot be refined at all. Cannons are equipped in the cannon slot. Every ship has two cannon slots, left one often called port and right one often called starboard. Cannons have weight attribute. While stored in ships inventory, they will take up portion of the ships load. After equipping, they will become weightless, they will not take any of the ships load. A cannon is any piece of artillery that uses gunpowder or other usually explosive-based propellants to launch a projectile. Cannon vary in caliber, range, mobility, rate of fire, angle of fire, and firepower; different forms of cannon combine and balance these attributes in varying degrees, depending on their intended use on the battlefield. The word cannon is derived from several languages, in which the original definition can usually be translated as tube, cane, or reed. In the modern era, the term cannon has fallen into decline, replaced by "guns" or "artillery" if not a more specific term such as "mortar" or "howitzer", except for in the field of aerial warfare, where it is usually shorthand for autocannon. A cannon was a large gunpowder firearm commonly used by ships and forts. This artillery weapon was the main defensive/offensive weapon on ships, although boarding other vessels was also common, as well as on battlefields all over the world. They function by using gunpowder to hurl a projectile, usually something heavy, flammable or explosive at their target. In Pirates of the Caribbean Online, cannons are used by the pirate to sink other ships or to defend their own. Ships also carry a complement of broadside cannons below deck that can only be fired by the ship's captain. File:Ship pvp12.jpg Cannon is the title of a group of common assault rifles in Borderlands 2. They are manufactured exclusively by Jakobs, and use the Torgue barrel. The cannon is a weapon that fires explosives.File:Cannon1.png Base Cost: 2000 Commandable?: 2000 Flying?: 2000 Description: Cannons are big, slow, and powerful. Even with the slowest fire rate in the game their massive explosive attack can decimate pretty much anything. Big groups need to beware of cannon splash damage. <default>Cannon</default> Size240px Ammunition Type Damage Range Ammo per Pickup Ammo per Clip Capacity First Use The Cannon is a hard-mounted VS weapon that accurately fires high-velocity shells for anti-armor applications. The shells possess superior muzzle-velocity to missiles and rockets, but they inflict less damage on impact and have a smaller splash radius. Primarily intended for use against Vital Suits, the Cannon is moderately effective against infantry if the shells hit them directly. Closely following the invention of gunpowder, the development of the cannon caused a revolution in siege warfare. Invented by a monk, early cannons used gunpowder charges to fire rocks or metal balls. The cannon forced a redesign of most fortifications, because the straight, high walls surrounding most cities could be easily destroyed by direct fire. The cannon appeared twice in Krinkels' animations: once in Marsh-Mellow-Madness and once in Madness Combat 1. In Marsh-Mellow Madness, a man was offering "rides" for 5 cents to be shot into a giant marshmallow. In Madness Combat 1, it was summoned by Jesus to fire at Hank, who managed to dodge every shot. Later on, a grunt tried to use it to kill Hank, but also fails. In Emmett Brown's video encyclopedia, Bill Nye demonstrates how to create a cannon with simply household items. On Ribos, the Shrieves closed of the catacombs by firing a cannon at the entrance. The resultant rock fall killed Sholakh and several of the Graff Vynda-K's Levithian soldiers. (TV: The Ribos Operation) Ray cannons were utilised during the First Century Universe War. Small defense cannons are seen in all appearances of Tourian, in Metroid, Metroid: Zero Mission and Super Metroid. They are affixed to the walls and ceilings of the Zebesian Command Center and fire small projectiles at Samus. These cannons seem to lack targeting systems, as they swivel and shoot in entirely random directions, regardless of who or what is nearby. However, this particular attack pattern makes them somewhat unpredictable and dangerous, especially when accompanied with the infinitely spawning Rinkas. They are only named in the 1986 manga. A Cannon . "Cannon" is a descriptive class - cannons belong to the larger Crafting class of guns. Cannon Tech requires Metallurgy and Explosive to be crafted, while particular objects within the Cannon class improve or become available at increasing levels of Metallurgy and Explosives. 'Cannon' is the more accurate term that should be used in place of 'tank gun', 'naval gun' and 'field gun'. Just because the tech level is different, the techtype is not. Unlike 'gun', cannon is not an abstract type - A cannon is a type of artillery, usually large and tubular, that uses gunpowder or other explosive-based propellants to launch a projectile over a distance. (LotC 262) The Cannon is one of the first weapons you are introduced to within the game. You are told that it will be useful in dogfights. Unlike rockets, they do not "home in" on aircraft, but you are advised that due to their explosive nature, you do not require a direct hit, so long as you aim close enough. Cannon ist eine braun-lohfarbene Hündin. A cannon is a specialized type of heavy weapon, designed to launch a large projectile. On-board British ships cannon took two forms, the long gun and the carronade. Both forms of cannon used gunpowder (black powder) and the projectiles took many forms such as round shot, barshot, grapeshot, canister, and others. A long gun was designed for range, 9pdrs were often of this form and called 'long nines' A carronade was shorter, and while it had shorter range, it was lighter and was popular for the close combat the Royal Navy preferred. The cannon is a weapon in The Precursor Legacy. It is a primitive turret used by the Lurkers at Sentinel Beach and Misty Island. It has a simple wooden frame and uses big gears to rotate the cannon or move it up and down. The cannon itself is large, and has a bell-shape without any specific details. They are operated by babaks. It has a relatively low firing rate and the explosives take a few seconds to explode. Its main use for Jak is not to kill enemies though, but instead to destroy the strong boxes. The explosives consists of a cloth bag with a fuse tied around the end. Punching a Cannon triggers it to fire, making a short BOOM noise and lights up the mouth of the Cannon yellow. This will make the cannon tilt up slightly. This only lasts about one second. It does not hurt you or kill you. The Cannon was first released into the catalog in the Habboween 2012 campaign and is featured in the Haunted Carnival furniture range. The first forms of the cannon require the associated fuse to be lit by Kirby himself, before racing the spark running along the fuse to the cannon, jumping into it, and being blasted off to a side screen or secret area on the stage. Any Copy Ability with the Fire element will do the trick lighting the fuse - Laser, Master, and Triple Star work as well. Cannons are not considered to be items; they are part of the environment. As they can only be activated when Ranger is behind the Cannon, this means that they cannot hurt Ranger. Instead, they are used to kill Monsters directly in its line of sight. Attack/Cannon
n3:abstract
Cannon was an evil robot who lived for 500 years. He looked like a rat robot but isn't a cute one.He never ever ages and is supposed to be at the age of 25.Cannon can shoot missiles and cannonballs from his hands and even from his forehead.Cannon can be killed by being kicked too hard by four arms. When he dies he explodes. The Cannon (ホウダイ Houdai?) is an enemy in Mega Man 3. They are mostly found in Needle Man's stage (both main mission and when Doc Robot appears). They are only vulnerable when they're shooting. When a Cannon is inert, a metallic hatch covers its weak spot. If one senses an enemy, the Cannon's hatch will raise and extend a barrel that launches a large cannonball. Mega Man must attack the barrel of a Cannon to inflict damage. In Mega Man II, they also appear in Wood Man's and Needle Man's stages. In Mega Man: The Wily Wars, they appear in the 3rd Wily Tower Stage. In Mega Man: Powered Up, they are called Shield Cannon and have minor changes such as different eyes and colors. They only appear in stages created with the Construction Mode. They also appear in a mini-game from Mega Man ZX Advent. Attack Informationen: Die Waffen QL entspricht dem Level der Cannons. Cannon is about as basic a chip as you can find in the Battle Network series. Not only is it the first chip in the Library, it's also the first chip you'll get to use in the game (the tutorial battle requires you to use the Cannon in the first wave). Cannon and its variants HiCannon and M-Cannon appear in all game iterations in the Battle Network series. This chip is based on the data from the virus Canodumb. The attack pattern of Cannon is simple: It will fire straight forward, and the first (if any) enemy in the line of fire will take 40 damage. Cannon is capable of Advancing to both Z-Canon1 (by lining up three consecutive-code Cannon chips) and O-Canon1 (by lining up five). Both of these chips use the Cannon technique, though the armcannon will appear blue instead of green. A cannon is a type of artillery, usually large and tubular, that uses gunpowder or other explosive-based propellants to launch a projectile over a distance. (LotC 262) Cannons are obstacles in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Party 8, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, Mario Sports Mix, Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Return to Dream Land. In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Cannons are small and gray. They are mostly found on Airships or in Fortresses. They will constantly fire Bob-ombs in World 7's Fortress, at the player. The player must avoid their Bob-ombs that they fire, as well as the Bob-ombs themselves to safely reach the door to Ludwig von Koopa's boss battle. On World 8's Airship, Cannons constantly fire Cannonballs. Giant black cannons that resemble black Warp Pipes also appear. These giant Cannons fire Giant Cannonballs. There are also rotating sets of four Cannons that fire Cannonballs in random directions. One of them is a larger set, which fires Giant Cannonballs. However, in the Giant Cannonball set, one of them is a green Warp Pipe, which does not fire anything. The player must enter this Warp Pipe to proceed. Anyway, Mario and the gang (Luigi, Blue Toad, Yellow Toad) must avoid all these Cannons, Cannonballs and Giant Cannonballs to safely reach the final battle vs. Bowser Jr. In Super Mario Galaxy, Cannons appear again. There are two types: a helpful Cannon that Mario/Luigi can use to fire to higher areas, and the hazardous type that fires Cannonballs. The "helpful" Cannons are usually found hidden in large holes. If Mario/Luigi jumps in these holes, they will be caught by the Cannon, which raises up before directing the player to the aim screen. On this screen, a yellow reticule is seen. Usually, there is a target or platform that the player must shoot at (targets only appear in Super Mario Galaxy 2). Using the Wii Remote, the player can aim at this target or platform and press A to fire. If the player hits the target, Mario/Luigi will land on the platform he was shot to. A 1-Up is always rewarded for firing Mario/Luigi onto the bulls-eye of the target. However, it is possible to lose a life if Mario/Luigi misses his target/platform and is shot out of the gameplay area. This is because, Cannons only fire the heroes in a straight line and Mario/Luigi will not land unless they hit something. The hazardous Cannons resemble Bill Blasters and will constantly fire Cannonballs at the player. Mario is usually in a 2D side-scrolling area, where he must dodge the Cannonballs to reach the Power Star or other area. It is to note that in Super Mario Galaxy 2, Cannons are much rarer and only appear in Bowser Jr.'s Boom Bunker. They replace Launch Stars in this galaxy. The cannon that appears in Whomp's Fortress in Super Mario 64 does not appear in the Throwback Galaxy and is instead replaced with a Sling Star. In Mario Party 8, Cannons appear on Goomba's Booty Boardwalk. Here, they are used by Pirate Goombas who will use them to fire any player who lands on a ? Space back to the start. Barrel Cannons also appear in DK's Treetop Temple and can be used to fire somewhere near the top of the map for five coins. In Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games, they only appear in the DS version of the game. Here, they are used to launch Mario or Sonic to a different island after saving a Snow Spirit. In Mario Sports Mix, Cannons make an appearance in the minigame, Bob-omb Dodge. Players must dodge the Bob-ombs they fire for two minutes. In Kirby's Epic Yarn, rotating Cannons can be found in a few levels, such as Tempest Towers. They appear as large gray Cannons with a red arrow pointing upwards on a green patch on them. When Kirby/Prince Fluff jump inside one, they must wait for the rotating Cannon to aim towards their desired target and then fire. These Cannons in Kirby's Epic Yarn behave similar to the Barrel Cannons found in The Subspace Emissary of Super Smash Bros. Brawl and the ones in Donkey Kong Country Returns. Cannons appear in Kirby's Return to Dream Land as an incredibly rare obstacle, even though one is encountered in Raisin Ruins and White Wafers. Unlike the Cannons in Kirby's Epic Yarn, these Cannons are the Cannons from the previous Kirby games. They are all black Cannons attached to a fuse. Using a Copy Ability that involves fire (for example, the Fire Copy Ability), Kirby must light the fuse and quickly jump into the Cannon before the fuse reaches it. If the player succeeds in doing so, Kirby will be fired into a bonus area. Cannons fire regular shots. They are staionary The Cannon is a siege unit available in the midgame of several Civilization games. Cannons don't have durability, so it never decreases, no matter how many times they're used. Cannons can be destroyed, if the ship hull falls below 20%, and it still keeps being attacked. Even if the damage to hull is being shown as 0, there is still a chance for cannons to get destroyed. Cannons have weight attribute. While stored in ships inventory, they will take up portion of the ships load. After equipping, they will become weightless, they will not take any of the ships load. Cannons can be crafted using Foundry skill. They are also dropped in various battlefields and instances from various ships. __FORCETOC__ Image:Help.png Pet, Level 20. Description: BOOM, BABY! Cannon (キャノン, Kyannon) est un membre de Carbuncle. Il est exclusif au premier film de Fairy Tail, La Prêtresse du Phœnix. The Cannon is the standard Artillery Unit of the Enlightenment Age. It is built and upgraded at the Siege Factory. A cannon was a large gunpowder firearm commonly used by ships and forts. This artillery weapon was the main defensive/offensive weapon on ships, although boarding other vessels was also common, as well as on battlefields all over the world. First invented in China, cannon were among the earliest forms of gunpowder artillery, and over time replaced siege engines—among other forms of aging weaponry—on the battlefield. In the Middle East, the first use of the hand cannon is argued to be during the 1260 Battle of Ain Jalut between the Mamluks and Mongols. The first cannon in Europe were probably used in Iberia in the 11 and 12th centuries, and English cannon were first deployed in the Hundred Years' War, at the Battle of Crécy, in 1346.[citation needed] On the African continent, the cannon was first used by the Somali Imam Ahmad ibn Ibrihim al-Ghazi of the Adal Sultanate in his conquest of the steppes of Ugaden in 1529. It was during this period, the Middle Ages, that cannon became standardized, and more effective in both the anti-infantry and siege roles. After the Middle Ages most large cannon were abandoned in favor of greater numbers of lighter, more maneuverable pieces. In addition, new technologies and tactics were developed, making most defences obsolete; this led to the construction of star forts, specifically designed to withstand artillery bombardment though these too (along with the Martello Tower) would find themselves rendered obsolete when explosive and armour piercing rounds made even these types of fortifications vulnerable. Cannon also transformed naval warfare in the early modern period, as European navies took advantage of their firepower. As rifling became commonplace, the accuracy and destructive power of cannon was significantly increased, and they became deadlier than ever, both to infantry who belatedly had to adopt different tactics, and to ships, which had to be armoured. In World War I, the majority of combat fatalities were caused by artillery; they were also used widely in World War II. Most modern cannon are similar to those used in the Second World War, although the importance of the larger caliber weapons has declined with the development of missiles. The Cannon was first released into the catalog in the Habboween 2012 campaign and is featured in the Haunted Carnival furniture range. To buy this furni you would need to pay real life money to acquire pumpkins and this was extremely controversial as regular users could not easily obtain the new items. It is a "rare" Habboween item, 1 of 4 non-limited Habboween 2012 rares. www In Emmett Brown's video encyclopedia, Bill Nye demonstrates how to create a cannon with simply household items. Cannon is a brown-and-tan female Fierce Dog with pricked ears and a pointed snout. Punching a Cannon triggers it to fire, making a short BOOM noise and lights up the mouth of the Cannon yellow. This will make the cannon tilt up slightly. This only lasts about one second. It does not hurt you or kill you. (COMIC: The Time Museum) Cannons are weapons used in Gex Enter the Gecko and Gex 3 Deep Cover Gecko. They appear in Kung-Fu Theater, The Buccaneer Program, and the fight with the Brain of Oz. It costs 20 Donuts, and goes along with the theme of Krustylu Studios. On February 2014, it was offered bundled with Krustylu Studios and Dr. Nick as part of the Gil Deal Krusty Premium Package. A Cannon in Kirby games refers to a big-bored medieval cannon, so large, in fact, that it vaguely resembles a cauldron. In Kirby Super Star and Kirby Super Star Ultra, the A.I. driving the Helpers or the second player controlling them can light the fuses for Kirby instead. Some of the fuses in these two titles, instead of ending blindly, have an attached detonator which, when destroyed or depressed in any method, lights the fuse. Another common variant is the floating type, which does not require lighting fuses to be fired. These generally come in two colors: green and yellow. Yellow ones fire automatically while green ones require the player's input to fire. Some of these cannons rotate, and work like Zebon from the previous games. Some of the cannons in Kirby: Triple Deluxe turn or slide horizontally when the player tilts his/her Nintendo 3DS system. A tiny cannon is a smaller, less powerful variant of the usual cannon. When Kirby touches one, he immediately launches out of it. He loses momentum quickly and cannot break Metal Blocks when firing from the cannon. Tiny cannons appear in Kirby: Canvas Curse and Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. The 1-inch cannon can be found on: * Focke-Wulf Fw 206 Doppleganger * Dassault MD 445 Dauphin * Fairchild F611 Brigand * Hughes Bulldog * Curtiss-Wright P2 Warhawk * Sanderson FB14 Vampire * William and Colt Peacemaker 370 * Anti-aircraft and zeppelin-mounted turrets Cannons also make an appearance in Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce as one of several heavy mechanisms built to attack intruders on sight. They can easily be destroyed by attacking them with staff-type weaponry. Different elemental variations of these cannons are also found in the game. Its speed and firing capabilities are further enhanced in Warriors Orochi 3, enabling it to launch cannonballs rapidly. __TOC__ Cannons are the main armament of Pirate ships. These include (from least to most powerful): * Buccaneer's Buddy * Ouch-Master * Holemaker Deluxe * Paingiver2000 * Mr. Massacre * Destructomatic T-47 Admiral Casaba used cannons on the pirates of Knuttin Atoll if they congregated in groups of three or more. The Cannon is an obstacle in Death Mode in Stage 8 and possibly in Stage 29. Cannon is a type of weapon damage in Command & Conquer 4: Tiberian Twilight. It is good against other medium units. Cannon attacks are also generally effective against almost every other kind of armor type, save for all air units, which cannot be targeted. The cannon attack is very likely to miss when either the target or the tank itself is moving. This can be prevented by researching accuracy boost. Samus can safely stand on top of the cannons' glowing, circular bases unless they fire a shot directly upwards at her. Their projectiles, although not terribly damaging, are a great nuisance, as a direct hit will often knock Samus into the lava below, along with being capable of destroying her limited number of Missiles. These mechanisms can be seen in the blueprints for the Future Aurora Complex featured in one of Corruption's preview trailers, and a very similar device known as the Ring Beam Unit is encountered in the Galactic Federation's Bioweapon Research Center in Metroid: Other M; however, these mechanisms fire Rinkas instead of bullets; a possible variation of these devices makes an appearance during the battle against Aurora Unit 313 in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. They are only named in the 1986 manga. Cannon is a young shepherd living at Tolbas Village in Verteron. He guards Porguses in the village. Unlike rockets, they do not "home in" on aircraft, but you are advised that due to their explosive nature, you do not require a direct hit, so long as you aim close enough. A cannon is a specialized type of heavy weapon, designed to launch a large projectile. In the era of the Federation, the term cannon has also been coined to refer to directed energy weapons that fire projectile-like charges of energy, despite not being true projectile cannons. In this sense, the term has been used to refer to both hand-held weapons and vehicle-mounted weapons. In idiomatic language, a "loose cannon" is someone or something unpredictable, and likely to cause damage if uncontrolled. James T. Kirk once considered Montgomery Scott a loose cannon after he traveled through time to rescue him from the Nexus. Ironically, Kirk himself was a noted loose cannon, considered by many in Starfleet, including Jean-Luc Picard. (ST novel: Engines of Destiny) They function by using gunpowder to hurl a projectile, usually something heavy, flammable or explosive at their target. In Pirates of the Caribbean Online, cannons are used by the pirate to sink other ships or to defend their own. Ships also carry a complement of broadside cannons below deck that can only be fired by the ship's captain. File:Ship pvp12.jpg Cannon the agent of P.U.F.F.L.E. Transformers, however, continue to use energy and particle cannons to devastating effect. A Cannon is a large gun used to fire various forms of projectiles at an enemy. A tampion is a plug kept in the muzzle of a cannon to keep out weather when the cannon is not in use. Cannon is a Lieutenant Commander. Unlike 'gun', cannon is not an abstract type - * Craft Cannon Crafting: Metallurgy, Explosive * Craft Cannon: Metallurgy, Explosive * Use Cannon: Marksmanship, Ballistics There is a plaque under the cannon accessible with the green car, saying "The Cannon Monument – This cannon was put here by Hoborg Klogg". The first cannon seen is at Sentinel Beach on top of a large tower only accessible through blue eco vents placed along a few towering islets. It faces the beach and can often be found showering the beach area with explosives until Jak stopped the lurkers operating it in the "Launch up to the cannon tower" mission. The second one is atop the construction between the bay and the dark eco silo at Misty Island, only accessible by a long wooden scaffolding leading upwards. This path begins at the Lurker ship and is impeded by a continuous barrage of big logs rolling down. The cannon itself is mainly focused on trying to open the big dark eco silo keeping Gol and Maia from the dark eco inside it, Samos Hagai wanted Jak to stop it in the "Stop the cannon" mission. The image to the right shows a maximum size cannon, identifiable by the inward-pointed lines through the center. The cannon is placed next to a full-size square for comparison. Also shown is the cannon's options menu. Cannons are aboard pirate ships in Coco's jet ski levels where they use it as their main source of attack against Coco by shooting cannonballs at her. Cannons were gaijin devices which used gunpowder to launch a projectile at high speed. They could be used as siege engines or onboard ships. Cannon is the title of a group of common assault rifles in Borderlands 2. They are manufactured exclusively by Jakobs, and use the Torgue barrel. The Cannon is obtained randomly from any suitable loot source. The Cannon is another weapon in Bowser's army. Cannon should out cannonballs (obvious) in a set direction. The cannonballs can be stomped on and be defeated by a Starman, but the cannon themselves cannot be defeaed. There are also rotator cannons that have four cannons equipped to them. Cannons are found in fortresses and on many of the battle fleets Bowser has. The shells possess superior muzzle-velocity to missiles and rockets, but they inflict less damage on impact and have a smaller splash radius. Primarily intended for use against Vital Suits, the Cannon is moderately effective against infantry if the shells hit them directly. Due to its range and power, the VS Cannon is highly suited to long-range anti-armour attacks against Vital Suits or large Akrid. Despite its slow reload time, the weapon is still effective at relatively close ranges, but it maintains a long-ranged focus. The VS Cannon is hard-mounted to Vital Suits and turrets, and cannot be removed or wielded by infantry on foot. The VS Cannon has undertaken no aesthetic changes in the transition to Lost Planet 2, although gameplay has been affected by the addition of a zoom function similar to the VS Rifle. Once the cannon is fired, the player can instantly reload another shell, being one of the fastest reloading weapons in the game, while other requires a cooldown to do the reload sequence. If paired with another cannon, it can become a deadly device. A unique form of cannon is found on both modes of the GAB-25M. This cannon has a 30 round clip and reloads automatically. File:Quake1.gif A Cannon in Aftershock for Quake is a gun turret that fires rapid-fire dual lasers similar to those seen in a Laser Trap. This hazard is featured in the level GUNS. The Cannon is mounted to a base and is often triggered by standing on a Button directly behind the Cannon. As they can only be activated when Ranger is behind the Cannon, this means that they cannot hurt Ranger. Instead, they are used to kill Monsters directly in its line of sight. Firing the Cannon will not alert a Monster, meaning it excels at killing entities that are standing in front of the Cannon and are currently unaware of Ranger's presence. Back to Units manual page Cannons existed since the time of Ultima I, but they were always installed on ships and could be used to blast away foes. Only beginning with Ultima V was it possible to use cannons on land as well. According to Vetron's Guide to Weapons and Armour, a cannon has a damage power of 90. A Cannon goes BOOM!
