Gryffindor Tower
rdfs:comment
The entrance to the Gryffindor common room is concealed under the portrait of the Fat Lady, on the lavish Gryffindor Landing. To enter one must present the Fat Lady with the correct password of the week. However, getting the password wrong means the student will have to wait the day for another student to come by and pass them the code. Gryffindor Tower is also mentioned in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Chapter 17, Moment 3. Gryffindor Tower is the tower that Gryffindors lived in. Inside lies the Gryffindor Common Room and the Gryffindor House Dormitories. The resident ghost is Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington, better known as Nearly Headless Nick. Gryffindor Tower is the main residence for the Gryffindors in Hogwarts. The path from the entrance hall goes up several flights of stairs and passes through more than one concealed door. The main entrance to the tower is concealed behind the painting of the Fat Lady, who requires a password of anyone desiring to enter. Its resident ghost is Nearly Headless Nick. Inside the tower is a common room with a fireplace and cozy furniture, and separate dormitories for boys and girls, with up to five four-poster beds to a room.
