Harbingers are first encountered when The Temptress tries to invade Gabriel's mind in the Whitespire Mountains, \"battling\" in the dream-version of Reaver's Reach. They are called upon by the Temptress when Gabriel rejects the Temptress' initial mental attacks, defending their \"mistress\" from the Dweller. Although initially encountered in the confines of the battle of wills, Harbingers are in fact very real enemies, physically encountering Gabriel and Theresa throughout the Echo Hills of northern Albion. Although Gabriel fights them off when travelling through the area, Harbingers are found once again inhabiting Deepgorge and Kraken's Jaw beach, where they desperately try to stop Gabriel and Theresa. Harbingers are among The Corruptor's most dangerous agents, seemingly spitting fire at their enemies from afar. Harbingers are also shielded from basic Will attacks, requiring Gabriel to use the power of light used by Sol to strip them of this protection before engaging them. These agents of the Corruption always attack in groups, and will sometimes use teleportation powers to quickly ambush their target or to regroup. Though they could not defeat Gabriel or Theresa, they are proven warriors, as demonstrated when Gabriel witnesses the horrific aftermath of their brutal purge of the industrial town of Bastion, where all inhabitants were burned into nothingness. Like many corrupted creatures, the face of the Harbingers bears a close resemblance to that of The Devourer, The Temptress, and The Crawler itself. It is unknown if Harbingers are native to the Void, or if, like other corrupted enemies found through Fable: The Journey, they are an Albion creature that has been afflicted with the Corruption."@en . It is the very first Reaper, like Sovereign from the first game, and is the controlling force behind the mysterious aliens known as the Collectors (who are actually indoctrinated and highly modified Protheans). It directly controls the Collector General, and during gameplay it can possess the body of any regular Collector, changing it from a normal grunt into a super-powered enemy with a damage absorbing barrier, enhanced durability, and the ability to fire biotic attacks and fireballs. Harbinger also expresses an interest in Commander Shepard, due to their victory over Sovereign, and often orders the Collectors to capture Shepard alive if possible. Harbinger's goal is to use the Collectors to kidnap humans and use them to create a Human-Reaper. At the end of the game, Shepard and friends destroy this monstrosity and destroy the Collector base (or alternatively, sterilize it and allow Cerberus to salvage it's technology). Harbinger is then forced to lead the Reaper invasion manually by slowly traveling across the Galaxy towards civilization. In Mass Effect 3, Harbinger is still the leader of the Reapers but has a much smaller role. It is leading the Reapers' invasion of Earth. Its only actual appearance is during the final mission, where it appears behind the beam to the Citadel and personally attacks what remains of Hammer strike force, though the Normandy manages evacuate Shepard's squad. Harbinger fires a powerful laser beam at Shepard which mortally injures them, but Harbinger assumes that the Commander is dead and leaves. Afterwards, Harbinger, along with all other Reapers, is either destroyed or helps to rebuild the galaxy depending on the final choice. On her way to gather Arion the sorcerer, a Shadow Demon possessed one of Harbinger's copies, allowing the Anti-Monitor to manipulate and use her for his purposes. Ultimately, she was used to kill the Monitor, only to find out that the Monitor had intended for Harbinger to kill him so that he could activate the machines and shunt the Earths 1 and 2 universes into a Netherverse where they would be safe from the anti-matter wave. But with the vibrations slowing between the two universes, they started to merge with each other and would eventually annihilate each other. Harbinger gathered a group of heroes to send them to the remaining positive-matter universes of Earths 4, S, and X to protect its citizens from the anti-matter wave while she concentrated all her power on bringing those universes into the Netherverse. As she succeeded in doing so, Lyla lost her power to become Harbinger, though she continued to assist the heroes in other ways. With the resetting of the universe that took place following the battle at the Dawn of Time, Lyla became Harbinger again, revealing that with the resetting of time, all the surviving positive-matter universes have all merged into one universe with one history. She helped the heroes defeat the Anti-Monitor once and for all when he used his power to transport Earth into the anti-matter universe. She returned to Earth and joined her fellow surviving team members Lady Quark and Pariah in the exploration of the New Earth reality. "Like all Chaotic aircraft, the Harbinger is usually piloted either by 4 Servitors who have been hardwired into the aircraft's systems or it has been possessed by a Lesser Daemon who transforms the bomber into an extension of its fiendish will as a particularly powerful Daemon Engine. Harbingers that are piloted by \"normal\" humans or Chaos Space Marines can have pilots of varying degrees of skill, including ace pilots and double ace pilots. The Hell Blade can also be outfitted with Warp Rift technology, which transform the aircraft into an affront to nature, causing clouds to blacken and storms to gather in its wake. These dark clouds can cause enemy aircraft to experience lightning strikes and extreme turbulence."@en . . Harbinger also expresses an interest in Commander Shepard, due to their victory over Sovereign, and often orders the Collectors to capture "@en . "Doctor's Orders"@nl . . . . "Rocket Launcher"@en . . Feeling that the distortion and Dio were somehow connected, Ley decided to go and investigate, believing that she would find Dio there. What she did not expect is that the Ultima ended up absorbing a strange power. The glove, which has been a powerful weapon in the Crimson River family for several generations, has the main characteristic of facilitating the summoning of magic and creatures without having the need to draw spell glyphs, in fact, the glyphs are already drawn on the gauntlet. The magic gem allows the creation of portals, which the creatures can travel through. When the Ultima absorbed the new energy, it's power reached a new high, which allowed Ley to become stronger. While testing her new powers, the first thing Ley noticed she can summon is her pet dog, Bastion Mary, who appears as a small, nervous puppy. It is hard to imagine that she can take on a second form that is geared for combat, like a wolf of darkness, Mary has a real bloodthirsty instinct, but is totally and completely loyal to her master Ley. Convinced that venturing into Aernas would help her definitively trace the source of the distortion, Ley unsealed the powers contained within the Ultima and summoned Bastion Mary. As the Harbinger, Ley can summon both Garouille and Bastion Mary. Harbinger can summon Bastion Mary who, unlike Garouille, can be controlled and the player can time her attacks. The improved AI allows for more successful fights. The all new jump and dash attacks serve to ameliorate the frustrations of running dungeons as a Summoner."@en . . . "False"@en . "50"^^ . . . . . . It is the overseer of the Collectors' operations, frequently possessing individual Collectors to fight battles personally. Harbinger's involvement first began two months after the Battle of the Citadel, when it made a deal with the Shadow Broker to gain possession of Commander Shepard's body following the destruction of the SSV Normandy. This did not succeed, however, and Shepard would go on to be resurrected by the Lazarus Project while Harbinger advanced its sinister plans for the galaxy."@en . "=46"@en . .
