Python is an interpreted programming language. That means its programs are text files; to execute a Python program, you run a program called an interpreter that reads a text file full of Python code, and does what it says, and as long as an interpreter is available for one's platform of choice (UNIX-based or Unix-like operating systems typically come with one and the developers maintain ports to Windows and Mac OS X) the operating system and architecture are largely irrelevant since compilation isn't required. Kategorie:Gottheiten Kategorie:Drachenlegenden Kategorie:Griechische Mythologie Kategorie:Schlangendrachen Kategorie:Europäische Drachen Python is a dracon Unique Monster, and as such rather a large serpent in appearance. Python: is an evil version of Rei after she traded her soul to HIM to make the pain in her heart from Boomer fade away forever. She was a main antagonist in Season 2 of the Awesomepuff Girls Z story. The Python is a vehicle in Saints Row 2. Sabotage and infiltration expert, Python is a true legend among the members of the Junta. Some even say that he doesn't exist but is just made up by the General to scare the rival clans. But unfortunately for the Junta's enemies, Python is very real... Python was designed to make programming code as readable as possible, making it just perfect for novice programmers. The Python is a one-hit kill before round 10, after which, its high effectiveness becomes more limited, ceasing to dispatch an enemy even with a headshot after round 13. However, being a handgun, the Python boast very speedy handling characteristics, including swap time, aim time, movement speed, and fire rate. Coupled with extremely high damage per round, these traits make the Python very user friendly and effective at nearly any round. Unfortunately, the Python reloads each round individually, making tactical reloads highly recommended. Overall, the Python makes for a worthy sidearm whose low capacity and moderate reload time can be overlooked. When Pack-a-Punched, the Python becomes the "Cobra". It's cylinder capacity is doubled and it gains a speed reloader. Though it receives no damage increase, the Cobra's range penalty is reduced, allowing users to deal a greater portion of their base damage at range. The healthy cylinder capacity and speed loader also allow more liberal fire and sustained use. Oosterpark- 12 April 1981. . . That there's a nasty python” ~ Oscar Wilde on a horse “I'd hit it” ~ Dan Aykroyd on having intercourse with a serpent “Glogh..gul..gligle..” ~ Python on swallowing a live hooker. Whole. Pythons were invented to be the spokes-animal (mascot) for that ballin' junk we call a "pie-eating contest." This "pie-eating contest" was then dubbed, "PIE-A-THON" by Lord Lemmy Kilmister. The first "PIE-A-THON" began in 1947 and was an outside affair, with balloons and Pepsis and Co-Coler and fruit salad and coconut dranks... and this guy. Anyway, like there were like only 2 entries for this like contest. The 2 who entered, Helena Bonham-Carter and Nancy Reagan, ate each others pie... then tasted each others baked goods. Nahmee? Yeah, ya do. So anyhow, they both loved eating out... side in a snake pit, so they finally got their shit together and decided that a Python™ would be a great mascot for pies and the like because the name of the contest was "PIE-A-THON." They started making a python out of the flesh of smaller snakes, fat people, grandma jaw powder, and 30 lbs. of diapers. So they duct-taped that shit together, and voila! ...they were instantly eaten. Dr. Gari-Gari pressed a button to call the python as Pero, Link, and Kevin Keene were about to escape from his world's version of New York City. While Link held off the python with his sword, Pero stole the timeship so he could return to his own time period. He doubled back to return Kevin's Power Pad and Zapper before leaving, and told him that the yellow diamond on the python's back was its weak point. Grateful for both the tip and the return of his equipment, Kevin destroyed the python with one well-placed Zapper shot. Explanatory note: This creature is not the same in the game HKO as of 2011 anymore. This entry describes a Beta-creature of 2008. Pythons have been renamed to Slyverns before the release of the game in 2009 and will drop different stuff now in 2011. They are in North Secret Peak now. Creatures on Sanrio Land (except on the new Newbieland Dream Carnival) do not drop guides nor clothings/hand-held-items/hairstyles of any kind currently anymore. Le python est une espèce de serpent. In Greek mythology, Python was the earth-dragon of Delphi, represented as a serpent. She presided at the Delphic oracle, which existed in the cult center for her mother, Gaia. Hellenes considered the site to be the center of the earth, represented by a stone (the Omphalos or navel) which Python guarded. Python became the chthonic enemy of the later Olympian deity Apollo, who slew her and remade her former home and the oracle, the most famous in Classical Greece, as his own. * Befehle * Tipps und Tricks The Python was an upgraded Magnum that could be purchased from a black market salesman who hung around the park just north of the Cuneo Compound. It packed a powerful punch at close range and had a considerably larger ammo capacity than its predecessor. It could be further upgarded to the Anihilator. Ettin Snake was named Python in the SNES release and has a similar appearance, though it was not the same as the recurring Python. Pythons are a group of nonvenomous snakes found in Africa, Asia and Australia. It is one possible corporeal form of the Patronus Charm. In 1991 Dudley Dursley with his friend Piers Polkiss wanted to see big, man-crushing pythons in the Zoo, while Harry Potter walked up to boa constrictor's tank, and unknowingly using Parselmouth, communicated with it. Python is the eight episode in the second season of CSI: Cyber. PYTHON is a Mister Handy repairman at HELIOS One in the year 2281. The Pythonidae family of snakes are named after it, as is the title for the presiding prophetess of Apollo at the oracular site; the Pythia. Die Python ist ein Revolver aus Call of Duty: Black Ops und Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Python supports multiple programming paradigms, primarily but not limited to object oriented, imperative and, to a lesser extent, functional programming styles. It features a fully dynamic type system and automatic memory management, similar to that of Scheme, Ruby, Perl, and Tcl. Like other dynamic languages, Python is often used as a scripting language, but is also used in a wide range of non-scripting contexts. The reference implementation of Python (CPython) is free and open source software and has a community-based development model, as do all or nearly all of its alternative implementations. CPython is managed by the non-profit Python Software Foundation. The Python is a revolver featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. The name is a reference to Monty Python's Flying Circus. Traditionally, interpreted programming languages are used as Scripting Languages, and not to develop whole applications. Partly, this is because the process of interpreting code is slower than the process of running code that's already been compiled into machine language. This is much less true than it once was, because after running a program once, Python stores it in "bytecode" that's been almost, but not quite, compiled into machine code. But for the most part, it's because interpreted programming languages have lacked access to the libraries that compiled programming languages had. Libraries like, say, Open GL, which allows C++ programmers to render fancy graphics without first telling the computer what a Sprite is, and how to move it around. It is in this last area that Python breaks the mold. Like many interpreted languages before it, Python has extensions that are written in other languages, like C; but unlike those previous languages, Python extensions can be generated automatically from existing C code. If you're already familiar with the use of your favorite library in C, you can use it more-or-less as-is in Python; and with only a little extra work, you can use Python itself to tidy up the interface so that people who don't like C can use the library anyway. Python therefore supports a bafflingly large array of functions (largely thanks to its expansive standard library), which Python programmers can tie together to make whole new programs without touching C (which the official interpreter, occasionally called CPython to distinguish it from unofficial interpreters that may be written in another language, is written in, but doesn't require knowledge of to simply use; decent knowledge of C would be required to work on the official interpreter but not the code it works with unless said code uses extensions written in C). As for the language itself, Python is distinguished by its near-complete lack of braces. Where other programming languages require you to partition your blocks of code using punctuation, Python looks at how it's indented. Other languages are customarily indented to indicate how they're organized, but in Python, that's an actual rule of the language that you have to follow, or your program won't work. This frequently makes Python programs more readable than their equivalents in JavaScript and the like, and readability is one of the goals of the language, as mentioned on the Programming Language article on this very wiki. The language takes pains to prevent the programmer from having to worry about memory management: it has an automatic garbage collector, meaning you don't have to worry about deleting variables after you're done with them; all variables are technically "pointers," but some types of variable can't be modified after they're created, which prevents issues that arise in C++ and the like where you don't know whether you're dealing with a variable or its Evil Twin; it handles type conversion automatically, meaning the difference between 2 and 2.0 is only as important as you want it to be; and the variable declarations that are used in most other languages to define what type of data a variable will hold are entirely absent from Python, where you "declare" a variable by assigning a value to it. Note that currently the Python Software Foundation maintains two very different versions of Python; the 2.7.x branch is backward compatible with older code and would be better for old-school Python programmers who don't want to update their code, while the 3.x branch made several major changes to the language that are often incompatible with older code. If you're new to the language (or are new to programming in general and chose Python as a first language), looking into version 3 would be a good idea since code for it will likely be standard in the future. Fortunately, it isn't hard to find books that cover both; for example, the popular computer book publisher O'Reilly Media currently covers both branches in its books, Learning Python (which is intended for newcomers to the language) and Programming Python (which is aimed at more advanced Python programmers). There are some popular codebases available for Python: * PyGame uses the SDL toolkit to provide easy 2D graphics management. * PyGlet is similar, but directly uses Open GL. * RenPy is for Visual Novel games. * Several 3D graphics engines: * PySoy * Panda3D * Python-Ogre * Blender3D * Evennia and GrailMUD are for Multi User Dungeons. Python is used as a Scripting Language by: * Bridge Commander * Battlefield2 * Civilization IV * EventScript 2.0, a plugin for Valve's Source Engine * Eve Online * Freedom Force * Frets On Fire * Jewel Quest 5 * Lugaru * Severance: Blade of Darkness * The Temple Of Elemental Evil * Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines And a rather good, freely available instructional book: Python for Software Design: How to Think like a Computer Scientist. A supervillain. Python was, probably, the greatest city in the world at the time, being ten times larger than the Stygian royal capital of Luxur and with an unparalleled wealth in all the world. Home of the infamous mages and priests of Acheron, the city had several obelisks, of great size, being the greatest building in this capital, the Royal Palace, with his Rubi Gate. Python is a versatile programming languages many programmers learn as their first programming language. Python is an interpreted language, meaning it doesn't need to be compiled like most other programming languages. It can be used a variety of ways, including IRC bots, computer games, databases, and calculators. Python is an easy to learn, powerful programming language. It has efficient high-level data structures and a simple but effective approach to object-oriented programming. Python’s elegant syntax and dynamic typing, together with its interpreted nature, make it an ideal language for scripting and rapid application development in many areas on most platforms. The Python interpreter and the extensive standard library are freely available in source or binary form for all major platforms from the Python Web site, , and may be freely distributed. The same site also contains distributions of and pointers to many free third party Python modules, programs and tools, and additional documentation. The Python interpreter is easily extended with new functions and data types implemented in C or C++ (or other languages callable from C). Python is also suitable as an extension language for customizable applications. This tutorial introduces the reader informally to the basic concepts and features of the Python language and system. It helps to have a Python interpreter handy for hands-on experience, but all examples are self-contained, so the tutorial can be read off-line as well. For a description of standard objects and modules, see The Python Standard Library. The Python Language Reference gives a more formal definition of the language. To write extensions in C or C++, read Extending and Embedding the Python Interpreter and Python/C API Reference Manual. There are also several books covering Python in depth. This tutorial does not attempt to be comprehensive and cover every single feature, or even every commonly used feature. Instead, it introduces many of Python’s most noteworthy features, and will give you a good idea of the language’s flavor and style. After reading it, you will be able to read and write Python modules and programs, and you will be ready to learn more about the various Python library modules described in The Python Standard Library. Python became the chthonic enemy of the later Olympian deity Apollo, who slew the creature with his bow and remade its former home and the oracle, the most famous in Greece, as his own. Python is a general purpose, high level, Interpreted Programming Language. The Python philosophy emphasises readability and simplicity. To this day, Python enforces the use of indentation to denote code blocks, and features dynamic typing along with automatic memory management. Python's use of indentation as a code block delimiter makes it unique among popular programming languages, and enforces a single consistent coding style, unlike C and Java. This is one of the more popular features of the language within the Python community, though it is sometimes confusing for those new to the language who are conversant with other programming languages. Python is frequently used as a scripting language, but its large array of built-in libraries means that it is also used more frequently than other high-level languages for general-purpose programming.
