William Shakespeare was an English poet and playwright considered by many to be the greatest writer of all time. Yet Shakespeare wasn't a member of the Janus, though some of the Cahills thought he was. He was the grandson of Madeleine Cahill and became a powerful Madrigal agent. Non-Cahill scholars have always been puzzled by Shakespeare's "lost years," the period of his life when he seems to vanish from all records. But the Madrigals know the truth. Shakespeare was off looking for the other branches' Clues. After he married Anne Hathaway, Shakespeare abandoned the hunt and devoted himself back to his art--but his writing was always inspired by his heartbreak over the Cahill rift. Shakespeare wrote a lot about family feuds, from Romeo and Juliet to King Lear. Other plays deal with bloodthirsty leaders such as Julius Caesar and Macbeth. However, while Shakespeare feared the consequences of the Clue hunt, he still hoped for peace. He even secretly penned a play about the reunion of the Cahill family--Love's Labour's Won. While Shakespeare wrote about such serious issues, he also had a genius for comedy and a flair for insults. It takes a true master of the English language to invent zingers like "thou lump of foul deformity." Shakespeare also hid several Clues in his plays. The actual number is one of the last remaining Madrigal secrets, but quite a few have been uncovered, including Clover, Bone, Lily, Rosemary, and Blood. William Shakespeare was a famous English poet and playwright, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language. In 1916, Indiana Jones recognized Robert Graves as having quoted Shakespeare's Richard II which prompted Siegfried Sassoon to ask Jones his opinion on Dreamers, one of Sassoon's poems. Four years later, Jones told Kate Rivers that Shakespeare was his favorite poet. Shakespeare was quoted on a plaque in Venice's Biblioteca di San Barnaba in 1938: "Charming town. I was particularly taken with a tradesman I met." William Shakespeare was an English playwright and poet during the reigns of Queen Elizabeth I and King James I. He believed strongly in the rights of women, and even started a stage show called "Wemen reclaim the throne." His editor is part of the Blackadder Family. William Shakespeare (April 26, 1564 - April 23, 1616) was an English poet and playwright often considered to be one of the best playwrights of all time. He is best known for plays such as "Hamlet", "Othello", "King Lear", "Julius Caesar", "Romeo and Juliet", "The Taming of the Shrew" and "Macbeth". Many of his works are considered the finest drama in the English language, including Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. The Birth of Merlin is a play attributed to Shakespeare and William Rowley. Scholars often conclude that Shakespeare's involvement may be spurious, and it is usually considered an Apocryphal work. In 1796 the play "Vortigern and Rowena" was presented as a lost Shakespeare work, but is almost universally considered a forgery. William Shakespeare(* 1564; † 1616) war ein erfolgreicher englischer Schriftsteller. Seine Werke, wie beispielsweise Romeo und Julia wurden mehrfach verfilmt. William Shakespeare (April 23, 1564 - April 23, 1616) was a poet and playwright. He is usually credited with having written thirty-six plays (which are commonly divided into the three categories comedies, tragedies and histories), four long narrative poems and one hundred and fifty-four sonnets. Other works have been doubtfully attributed to him and there are references to works by Shakespeare that now appear to be lost. Shakespeare is widely considered to be the greatest writer in the English language and is one of the most famous and well-respected writers in the world. Shakespeare was born in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England and moved back to the same town when he retired after a successful career in London. Not much can be said about his life with any certainty, even his date of birth is uncertain. Most of what is known about him has been pieced together from parish records, legal documents and references to him by other writers. He disappears from the record completely for seven years between 1585 and 1592. Debate continues as to whether any authentic portraits of Shakespeare exist or if any of the images made of him after his death accurately depict what he looked like. William Shakespeare was a contemporary of Miguel de Cervantes, although it is unlikely that the two ever met. Some dude people just WILL NOT shut up about. The Fourth Doctor claimed that Shakespeare as a boy was "very taciturn" and that he said to him, "There's no point in talking if you've got nothing to say". (TV: City of Death) The Eighth Doctor and Charley Pollard met a young Will Shakespeare who had been taken out of his rightful time (1572) by Viola Learman and brought to New Britain in the early 21st century. (AUDIO: The Time of the Daleks) The three of them briefly ended up in Asia Minor, where they encountered the Doctor's previous companion, Vicki, calling herself Cressida, and her husband Troilus. The Doctor was afraid that Will would learn too much about his future play, Troilus and Cressida, but learned that Shakespeare had not invented the story. (PROSE: Apocrypha Bipedium) The Doctor eventually dropped Shakespeare off in Warwick in his own time period. (AUDIO: Foreshadowing) Shakespeare was an uneducated rural actor, later turned playwright. In 1592, the Ninth Doctor and Rose Tyler encountered an older Shakespeare, where he was to perform the lead part of his play Richard III at The Rose theatre. At the Doctor's request, Rose agreed to distract Shakespeare from the stage "with a hey nonny nonny" in an attempt to stop Robert Greene from murdering him. He dismissed an attempt by Shadeys to destroy the Earth as a trick-show, and did not let it interfere with his future career. (COMIC: A Groatsworth of Wit) In 1597, the Fifth Doctor shared a drink with Shakespeare; he later stowed away in the TARDIS and began to attempt to influence the reign of King Richard III of England to more closely resemble the account in his play Richard III. This adventure ended with Shakespeare being killed in King Richard III's place at the Battle of Bosworth on 22 August 1485, and Richard returning to 1597 to take Shakespeare's identity and place in history. (AUDIO: The Kingmaker) In 1599, the Tenth Doctor encountered Shakespeare when the witch-like Carrionites wanted the wordsmith to complete the play Love's Labour's Won to free the rest of their kind. With the help of the Doctor and Martha Jones, the three Carrionites and their sisters were banished back into the Deep Darkness. During this encounter, Shakespeare developed an attraction to the Doctor and Martha, whom he addressed as his "Dark Lady" (TV: The Shakespeare Code). Via the Time-Space Visualiser, the First Doctor and his companions watched William Shakespeare in conversation with Queen Elizabeth I about Hamlet. (TV: The Chase) The First Doctor collaborated with Shakespeare between drafts one and two of Hamlet. (PROSE: Byzantium!) The Fourth Doctor claimed that he helped Shakespeare transcribe Hamlet as Shakespeare had sprained his wrist writing sonnets. The Doctor claimed that he had warned Shakespeare that Hamlet's line "to take arms against a sea of troubles" was a mixed metaphor, but Shakespeare would not listen. (TV: City of Death, PROSE: The Stranger, The Writer, His Wife and the Mixed Metaphor) In 1609, Shakespeare, acting as an agent of the Crown, encountered the First Doctor, Irving Braxiatel, and Galileo Galilei in Venice, and was reunited with Christopher Marlowe, whom he thought was dead. The Doctor forcibly made Shakespeare take a retcon-like drug to erase his memory of the events that he had witnessed. As a brief introductory detail it should be mentioned that, during the sixteenth century, there were many families with the name Shakespeare in and around Stratford. "Shakespeare" appears countless times in town minutes and court records, spelled in a variety of ways, from Shagspere to Chacsper. Unfortunately, there are very few records that reveal William Shakespeare's relationship to or with the many other Stratford Shakespeares. Genealogists claim to have discovered one man related to Shakespeare who was hanged in Gloucestershire for theft in 1248, and Shakespeare's father, in an application for a coat of arms, claimed that his grandfather was a hero in the War of the Roses and was granted land in Warwickshire in 1485 by Henry VII. No historical evidence has been discovered to corroborate this story of the man who would be William Shakespeare's great-grandfather, but, luckily, we do have information regarding his paternal and maternal grandfathers. The Bard's paternal grandfather was Richard Shakespeare (d. 1561), a farmer in Snitterfield, a village four miles northeast of Stratford. There is no record of Richard Shakespeare before 1529, but details about his life after this reveal that he was a tenant farmer, who, on occasion, would be fined for grazing too many cattle on the common grounds and for not attending manor court. There is no record of Richard Shakespeare's wife, but together they had two sons (possibly more), John and Henry. Richard Shakespeare worked on several different sections of land during his lifetime, including the land owned by the wealthy Robert Arden of Wilmecote, Shakespeare's maternal grandfather. Robert Arden (d. 1556) was the son of Thomas Arden of Wilmecote, Shakespeare's maternal great-grandfather, who probably belonged to the aristocratic family of the Ardens of Park Hall. He was catholic and married more than once (we know the name of his second wife -- Agnes Hill) and he fathered no fewer than eight daughters. He became the stepfather of Agnes' four children. Robert Arden had accumulated much property, and when he died, he named his daughter (Shakespeare's mother) Mary, only sixteen at the time, one of his executors. He left Mary some money and, in his own words, "all my land in Willmecote cawlide Asbyes and the crop apone the grounde, sowne and tyllide as hitt is".
