RULES Rules Rules
rdfs:comment
There are certain rules for each wiki. Please apply the rules whatever you do on the Wiki. He or she then must hit the ball such that it bounces once on his or her half of the table, and then bounces at least one time on the opponent's half. If the ball strikes the net but does not strike the opponent's half of the table, then a point is awarded to the opponent. However, if the ball hits the net, but nevertheless goes over and bounces on the other side, it is called a let. Play stops, and the ball must be served again with no penalty. A player may commit any number of lets without penalty. File:Header scoring.png Points are awarded to the opponent for any of several errors in play: Rules for the challenge * Each challenge will be posted on a protected page along with any clues and how many points it is worth * When you have decrypted the cipher you should send it to one of the admins in a private message. * If you are right you will be awarded points equal to the number of points the challenge is worth In addition to this the first person to decrypt it will get 10% points extra, the second will get 5% extra the third person will get 2.5% extra and the fourth person will get 1% extra. After that no one will recieve extra points List of admins: Ok, I've noticed that I've been handling thing a bit too lightly around here. So, I decided it's high time we get some rules! Yay! 1. * No Cursing. This includes main pages, user talk pages, and on the chatrooms. Words like "crap" and "sucks" are acceptable. 2. * If a club is focused on the hatred of a character, don't attack it. 3. * Respect other users. 4. * Don't edit other people's featured club/user votes. 5. * Don't make multiples for a fan club. i.e. Heather Haters and Heather Despisers 6. * Don't edit other's userpages, unless you have pesmission from said user. 7. * Don't spam or vandalize. 8. * If you have any questions ask one of our admins. Hey Good News!! Welcome to Hey Good News!! Welcome to There are several rules on this wiki. Note: If you break these rules once, you will get a warning, twice you will be banned for 24 hours, and three times will be a yearly ban. If you decide to still abuse the rules after this point, you'll recieve a permaban along with a certificate. The Rules style of composition uses the $ operator representing the connector to implement the following compositions * SourceName -> SinkName $ Rule (parameterList[opt]) * SourceName -> HandlerName $ Rule(parameterList[opt]) -> SinkName $ Rule(parameterList[opt]) * SourceName -> HandlerName $ Rule(parameterList[opt]) -> SinkName * result = SourceName -> HandlerName $ Rule(parameterList[opt]) All combinations of components in the pipes and filter style can be qualified with a rule evaluation. All of the above can result in blocks: * Badge gaming. * Insults, harassment, threats, mean comments. * Talking bad about an admin or other user on another wiki. * Spamming pages, forums, message walls, chat and comments. * Vandalizing and plagiarizing. * Inappropate language such as swear words. * Creating Duplicate Accounts to avoid a block. * Banning one of the bareucreats or admins on here from another wiki, but only the admin who was blocked by the user on another wiki can block them on here unless of course they violate rules. As players and moderators of a game there are certain rules that everyone should abide by, we request that you take your time to read over this list and acquaint yourself with the some of the regulations that this community upholds. They are listed below. Anytime a new rule has been added it will be posted in the main community to let players know what is going on and keep them informed. The admins "Cynder-loves-lifts", Oirambale96, Torchwood -5 and Lombax0987-1234 Welcome you to the SCP:CIM wiki. Please browse round and add content if you want. Here are the rules of the Dexter's Laboratory Wiki. The Dexter's Laboratory Wiki is supposed to be a community site for everyone to contribute to. However, this wiki is not a rule-free website. Every visitor and member must follow the rules or suffer a penalty from the wiki. Please work responsibly on this wiki and obey the rules. These are the only rules and will be the same, unless I add one, FOREVER.

There is a rule prohibiting goats (except seeing-eye goats) from entering the castle Daventry. A. This is the Ruleset for WikiaNomic; all Players must obey it. Section One consists of the "core rules" of the game, covering basic proposal mechanics; Section Two contains the rules of the current dynasty; and Section Three contains the glossary, which exists solely to clarify the remainder of the ruleset. Rules may be referred to by their type and entire number or type and name. (e.g. This Rule may be referred to as Rule 1.1 or the Rule entitled "Ruleset and Gamestate"). If a Proposal refers to a Rule by number and that Rule has been renumbered since the Proposal posting, that Proposal does nothing if enacted. B. The Ruleset and Gamestate can only be altered in manners specified by the Ruleset. C. Admins may correct obvious spelling and typographical mistakes in the Ruleset at any time. They may also correct or add links in order to clarify terms and improve readability. Other rules are up for discussion on the Talk:Rules page. As well as the above rules, admins have other obligations to help keep the Wikia fair and clean at the same time. These include, but are not limited to: 1. * All admins are required to contact/warn "offending" members before blocking them. This will give the member time to voice their reasons for his/her actions. But so that order is kept, there will only be three warnings ("strikes") before the member in question is blocked for however long the admin in charge of the case sees fit. DISCLAIMER: This rule does not apply to users who: spam, vandalize, swear, users who are exceptionally rude, or unregistered users, all of whom can be immediately IP blocked. 2. * All active admins have to agree upon a rule and it's phrasing before it can be added. This way, all of the admins can add in their own ideas and no one can make the rules work to their personal advantage. If there is only one active admin, no changes may be made to the rules. 3. * Before a user is granted admin or ChatMod status, all active admins have to agree upon the candidate. 4. * An admin is considered inactive after being away from the Wikia for three months. Component RuleTester { Rule rule = boolean test( ); //will work Rule rule = void test( ); //won't work - rule will always return boolean Rule rule = int test(int num); //won't work - rule will always return boolean Rule rule = boolean test(int num); //will work Rule rule = public boolean test(int num); //won't work - no modifiers are allowed Source src = int producer( ); Handler hnd = int processor(int number); Sink snk = void pit(int finalnumber); Event evt = boolean trigger( ); } All of the above can result in blocks: * Badge gaming. Here are the rules of the New Jersey Devils Wiki. Please obide them or suffer the consequences of breaking them. If you have an idea of a rule, new or change of the rule, please contact all administrators with your idea and they will consider it or decline your idea. The admins "Cynder-loves-lifts", Oirambale96, Torchwood -5 and Lombax0987-1234 Welcome you to the SCP:CIM wiki. Please browse round and add content if you want. We have a few rules here so please obay them 1. * No trolling or flaming. We don't like those people here as it ruins the advantages to edit and have fun. 2. * Must be in English. We know that most of you are from other countries but please keep all topics English. If you need help, just ask me in the Chat Box. 3. * No racist. Racism is very bad and offensive because it isn't very friendly to everyone in the wiki. So please keep it clean. 4. * Topics must only be about Tiny Tank. Please keep the topics only about Tiny Tank as it is the whole point of the wiki. 5. * Role-play only in certain role-plays. For example: You can only role-play about Tiny Tank in the TT2 Role-play and you can Role-play about anything in the General Role-play. These are the rules and guidelines for the Future Diary Wiki. Please note that these rules may be subject to change at any time, and you are responsible for keeping up-to-date with them. These are the only rules and will be the same, unless I add one, FOREVER. The Rules is set of options available in Versus Mode in all of the Super Smash Bros. games. It allows a selection of the rules for a match before the fight itself. Shaded areas represent an option that first must be unlocked, in which the criteria to unlock it can be view by hovering over the shaded region. 1KBWC is a game that changes as you play it. To get started, you should gather some materials. The following is a list of Rules & Policies applied on The 7D Wiki, that explain and describe standards that all users should normally follow, in order to maintain a comfortable atmosphere on the wiki. Violation of these can lead to administrative action. If you are unsure and you have any questions regarding any rule or policy, then please contact a member of the staff. Rules are put in place to keep the enjoyment of Arelith community. There are only 5 rules on Arelith servers. Sometimes they are called the Golden Rules. Note that there are separate articles about Wiki rules and Forum rules. The following are rules that all players agree to abide when entering the Arelith server. Players are responsible at all times for abiding by the rules of Arelith and role playing, and will be held accountable to them. Please, make sure that you read and understand thoroughly each of the 5 player rules, and if there is a question, don't hesitate to ask (e.g. on forums). For more explanations and specifics see articles listed . Arelith staff enforce these rules stringently to provide a richer, fuller RP experience. The rules are vague on purpose. For example, there is no definitive line between griefing and good roleplay. DMs will apply judgment with common sense, and players should too. Arelith rules do not function on Zero-Sum ('black or white') mentality. Arelith follows the spirit of the rules, not the letter. Ruling example can demonstrate that. "First of all, please address questions about specific incidences with DMs, privately. I can't believe I still have to remind people of this. This (your case) is not an exception, there will never be an exception." DM Watchtower See article about contacting DMs for details. The most current version of rules can be found in game in players' Journal at all time. These are the rules of the wiki. Breaking a rule can result in a ban, depending on the severity. Most rules should be commonsense. * Do not spam or vandalize any pages * No personal attacks * No links to, or posts promoting illegal activity. * No hate speech of any form. Here are the rules for CnR (partly from the official CnR website's rule page and partly from other sources). If you have broken a rule, you may be kicked or banned at anytime. Admins may enforce rules as they see fit, so be sure to listen to them. There are several rules on this wiki. Note: If you break these rules once, you will get a warning, twice you will be banned for 24 hours, and three times will be a yearly ban. If you decide to still abuse the rules after this point, you'll recieve a permaban along with a certificate. Hey Good News!! Welcome to Hey Good News!! Welcome to Welcome to the Rainbow Magic Wiki! Here, you can read all about the fairies and characters of the children's book franchise and also add your own knowledge to their pages. To help everyone get along, it is recommended you read the rules to being part of the wiki. Failure to abide by any of these rules may result in blockage. Major Factions are: NR, IN and OrC Minor Factions are: Jedi, Sith, Corellia. * You must get permission from both faction leaders before multifactioning. * You may NOT multifaction between two hostile factions. Examples: NR and IN - Not allowed (hostile) NR and Sith - Not Allowed (hostile) IN and NR - Not Allowed (hostile) IN and OrC - Not Allowed (two major factions) NR and Jedi (And vice versa) - Allowed (not hostile, one major, one minor) NR and Corellia - Allowed (not hostile, one major, one minor) IN and Sith - Allowed (Not hostile, one major, one minor) Jedi and Corellia Allowed (Not hostile, two MINOR factions) * Leaders, please put a dash (or something identifiable) next to any multifactioner on the memberlists! (easier to keep track of) These rules may be updated from time to time. Please make yourself familiar with them. File:Nothing-small.gif Please do not make pages on your own or your friends' horse(s). Keep this on your user page. * Be nice and respect others * * This means no harassment of any kind such as Hate Comments, Racist Comments, or Stealing Work. * Nothing inappropriate messages or Pictures please. * That means no blood or gore. * This includes on your page. We want this to be a family friendly site. * Please do not upload SPAM. If you don't know how to get images from howrse, then look at these tutorials * This Wiki is written as a guide and information site * This means Don't put things like "Do This", or encouraging people to do things that could get them banned. * Do not make random pages that have nothing to do with howrse, or advertise yourself or other users. * Please use correct spelling whenever possible. * No text talk unless its on your profile please. * Please no badge farming * badge farming is when you make multiple edits to a page * if you make 3 ridiculous edits to a page it would be considered as badge farming First Offence: Results in the Page Or Edit to be erased. Second Offence: Results in a Warning. Third Offence: Results in a Block for a certain amount of Time Fourth Offence: Results in a permanent ban from editing the Wiki. * If the situation is very bad (like trashing multiple pages with no other edits) then it will result in a 3 month ban. * If it's something minor like using text talk on a wiki page, this will result in a warning. If it occurs again you will be warned once more. And if it happens to occur again (which it shouldn't) you will be blocked for a couple days or so. * you must give a link to what they did so mixing up ip addresses will be less likely to happen * you also must say how long their banned for * also must give them some way to contact you You are allowed 40 cards in your deck, no more and no less. A deck is called a Library. You can only have 3 of a card name, unless the card is *restricted.* The player with 5 creatures on this 3 by 3 tile wins, which means you will never have a tie. It's only one match against your opponent. You can either have animation ON or Off in the options menu. Each time one of your monster dies, you can one mana. If you run out of cards in your Library, you lose. Obviously, we do not allow vandalism of any kind - users (or IP Addresses) found in violation of this rule will find them self with a nice IP ban. All these rules must be followed on the Pocket Planes Wikia in order for you to be a successful user. * Do not swear or insult others. * Do not spam pages with gibberish or vandalize them. * Do not harass staff members for rights. Rights will only be granted by the lead admin when they feel you are ready. * Do not post unneeded or off-topic comments on threads or on the forums. * Do not misuse your Staff Rights to block a user unnecessarily or to get revenge on another user. * Do not create unnecessary pages. Admins look over the new page list and delete unnecessary pages every day. * No sockpuppeting The majority of ice hockey around the world is played under the umbrella of three organizations, Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, and the International Ice Hockey Federation, each with their own set of rules. Hockey Canada and USA Hockey rulebooks are used in most amateur hockey in North America, and the IIHF rulebook is used in both amateur and professional leagues. The National Hockey League has its own rulebook, from which the rulebooks of most North American professional leagues are derived. United States high school leagues use the National Federation of State High School Associations rulebook, and varsity college hockey is governed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association's rules. These six rules organizations, in addition to their own meetings, gather at a conference, and rule changes significant to game play have traditionally been made "across the board." However, recently, changes have been made at the amateur hockey levels to improve game play, while changes at professional levels have been made to make the game more exciting to spectators. Hockey Canada and USA Hockey's rulebooks differ primarily in technical matters such as the severity of penalties handed out for various fouls. IIHF rules differ a bit more due to the differences in the dimensions of North American hockey rinks from those in the rest of the world. In recent times, both USA Hockey and Hockey Canada have been trying to make their rules more similar to the international rules. The merits of this move toward a more standardized rulebook, however, are debated in amateur hockey circles. The NHL is very different since they evolved separately from the amateur rules. In recent years, the low scores of NHL games have prompted the league to debate a wide variety of rule change proposals including enlarging the size of the goal, widening the blue and red lines to create a larger offensive zone, restricting where goaltenders can handle the puck, breaking ties with a penalty shot shootout, and eliminating the two-line pass rule, which does not exist in international and most amateur rulebooks. While the National Hockey League (NHL) follows the general rules of ice hockey, it differs slightly from those used in international games organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation such as the Olympics. In many games, a player who performs a certain action gets to make a Rule. Failure to follow the rule has consequences, usually taking a drink. These are the rules of Holomon. Rules 1) You should always treat your opponent with respect. 2) Both players can use a maximum of 3 Holomon in battle. 3) You are not allowed to use any Forbidden Holomon or Moves in battle. 4) If you are playing a best of 3 or 5 set Winner chooses the stage, this can also apply to free battles. 5) The loser must give up a side chip when they lose a battle. When playing a set of 3 or 5, the last match is when you give up a side chip. 6) Purposely disconnecting is an automatic loss. Do NOT ever disconnect during a battle. Clauses Species Clause: You can't have multiple copies of the same Holomon No Status Clause: You can't use moves that paralyze, confuse, freeze, poison or put your opponent to sleep. This means NO infected Holomon. Neutral Level Clause: You must always choose a neutral level/stage when battling. One Type Clause: Both opponents can only use one Holomon type for all Holomon used for battle. No Forbidden Clause: Any Holomon can be used in battle. (No one will agree to this) No Frost Bite + Shatter Claw/Punch Clause: Can't have the moves Frost Bite and Shatter Claw or Shatter Punch in the same move set. No Bebe or Mani Clause: Can't use Bebes or Manis in battle. Below are resources related to learning the rules of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. To use this template, use {{Gameplay}}. The official rulebook is included with every deck but may be also downloaded for free from yugioh-card.com in PDF format. Many Yu-Gi-Oh! videogames also include tutorial modes designed to get new players up to speed. For specific ruling questions, try the Ruling Queries forum. The rules of real tennis have not changed for centuries. Stripped of its special rules for serving and chases, the game is simple to understand. Each player strives to get the ball over the net and in doing so may use any wall - as in squash. The scoring is the same as in lawn tennis (15, 30, 40, deuce, advantage), except that the score of the winner of the last point, and not that of the server, is called first. The first player to win 6 games wins a set. So, if the score is five games all, there is a final deciding game. At the conclusion of each game, the winner of that game has his or her score called first. As in lawn tennis, singles or doubles can be played. The length of a real tennis court is approximately one and a half times the length of a lawn tennis court: its width a fraction more than the width of a doubles lawn tennis court. Halfway between the two ends a net stretches from side to side of the court. In the centre the height of the net is the same as a lawn tennis net. At either end the net is higher, in fact, five feet. The origins of tennis being French, various features of a tennis court are still known by their original French names. Thus the long opening at the end of the service side of the court (behind which spectators can sit and watch a game) is known as the Dedans. At the opposite end of the court the buttress projecting from the wall is known as the tambour and the wooden opening near it is called the grille. * The Official Rules * Local Rules * Handicaps * Marking * Frequently Misunderstood Rules Hello, these are the Official rules for Ultra Dragon Ball Answers Wiki! Please feel welcome too read them when you get the chance so you could be happy and avoid any banning or Punishment. 1. You cannot change the story drastically and your post must "fit" with the story. Sure, you can kill a few random NPCs and even the random Jedi, but don't think that means you can blow up Coruscant or just make major characters do whatever you want. 2. No killing of other people's characters. The RP wouldn't survive if some who just joined or any for that matter just went around and killed other players. While you can kill other players, you have to ask for there permission (and don't be shocked if they say no). 3. No Gods. If you just joined the RP, you are not powerful. You'll start of roughly at the level of the average Joe Jedi, maybe even weaker. After being in the RP for a while and being active, your character will become stronger. The no Gods rule also goes to vets. If you were in the first and/or second RP, you'll be pretty stronger, normally a lot stronger than someone that just joined. But that doesn't give you the right to be all powerful or immortal. 4. You can write what other characters do, but only to a certain extent. Let's say Bob just posted saying something to Joe. Joe than posts something, saying stuff like Bob nodded and Bob said okay. Now Bob has the right to say that he didn't want his character to say that, so the post has to be edited. Now if Bob didn't say anything, it should be fine. Of course, this rule has its limits. Joe can't say something like Bob jumped off a cliff unless he asked permission first. 5. Start all your posts with this format: Name – Rank or Class – Location 6. Write OOC before each out of character post in the RP thread. We are fine with you using this to tell extra information about an in character post you just posted, but please leave all other out of character posts in the Discussion thread. The feedback thread can also be used for discussing specific posts while the sign up thread is for the RP in general. 7. You are restricted to how much you can bend the story. There is plenty of room for character development, and you can even move the story slightly into the direction you want. Of course, any thing that will have any real effect on the story should be run by Cream first. Think of it like everyone having a hand on the wheel. Everyone gets an equal amount of sway in this game since there is no continuity after it's over. Cream will be operating the stories of the major NPCs so the ultimate direction of the story is up to Cream's discretion. 8. No killing off other people's characters. While you can kill someone's character, get their permission first, but don't be surprised if you're turned down. However, you can kill all the NPC's you want, as long as it doesn't affect the story and makes sense based on your character's strength. The clan has several rules that all members must abide by at all times. Domhain Byd is rated M for Mature players. Expect violence. Expect foul language. This setting can get dark at times. If something is in especially bad taste, you may be asked to tone it done and certain things (such as intense torture, rape or child abuse) should only ever be referenced obliquely rather than described. The StoryTeller is god. Take this one literally: only the current StoryTeller can NPC anything regarding gods or prophecies. Player characters are welcome to interpret anything they like as a sign from their god, of course, but they are fallible mortals and may be contradicted at any moment. StoryTellers will also call the shots when it comes to determining whether or not a character has been killed by an action, usually decided by a dice roll. Respect the separation between IC knowledge and OOC knowledge. Spies may be used behind the scenes, but each new piece of information gathered must be approved by a StoryTeller (which will likely involve a dice roll). Follow all IMC site rules. Be nice OOC. Be backstabbing bastards IC. Have fun. No Naughty words (ever) No cyberBulying No Abuse No multi account NO DELETING PAGES EVER Never brag Do not be immuture Leave templite below Qwerty2000xp the second or bunsenH. You will leave right now or be sorry. These rules must be followed at all costs. A violation will first result in a warning, then an hour interval ban, then a day interval ban, then a week interval ban, after that a month interval ban, a year interval ban, and finally an infinite block unless notified otherwise. Also if you are a extremely big violator, Weegee will track you down and destroy you. If you survive your destruction, then your account will be seized and you will be tracked down and thrown into a pit of parasites. If you want to select the parasites for the pit, vote here. Have a nice day! (Note: Intervals vary on what violation is performed) |-|General Rules= 1. * No spamming 2. * No curses or adult content 3. * Use good grammar (please read the grammar policy for more details) 4. * No insulting the Weegee meme (MurkekowTheAwesome did that) 5. * No racism allowed. 6. * Never make anyone an admin because it is your friend or because of a deal (This applies for all bureaucrats) 7. * No top ten lists unless you have permission from an admin, and just as the same as pages, use proper grammar. 8. * Do not start a civil dispute over something completely pointless. 9. * In order to fully enjoy our content, you must have a decent or high level of maturity. Even if you are a youngster. 10. * Do not copy information from the wiki and put it on other sites without giving credit 11. * Do not put messages on Weegee's talk page 12. * Do not copy information from other sites without giving credit 13. * Absolutely no insulting, flaming, or otherwise annoying other wikis. 14. * No advertising (Besides the "Around Wikia's Network at the bottom of each page, and your userpage). 15. * No posting hate content against any other website, organization, user, or other entites. It will be deleted and you may be banned. This includes creating organizations (such as clubs or cliques) against users. We are currently at peace with all wikis. 16. * You may only have two alternative accounts. You must request for a third and it only can be requested if it is for a good reason. 17. * Do not harass any users 18. * If any Weegee wikis are created in order to "bypass" the rules, then the user will be banned from this wiki. Projects that were merely created as "extensions" and are not trying to get around any rules are acceptable. Examples are TheGreatBeegee wiki and Daieegeepedia. 19. * No sock puppetry. 20. * No edit mining. 21. * Please take note of disclaimers. Some articles/categories (certain groups) say they are disbanded, and some even say no new members will be accepted. If this is the case, then do not make new members for it, plain and simple. |-|Article Rules= 1. * Do not resurrect a deleted page, with it's previous format, without consulting an active admin first. Please note, that does not mean you can't make a new character under the name of that deleted page, unless if it was a troll page or a vandal page. 2. * Don't make worthless and irrelevant pages 3. * No overpowering without permission from an administrator. Administrators should know if an overpowered character is acceptable. 4. * Do not make pages of things that aren't related to Weegees and Fakegees. Please see the Content Standards for more information 5. * Add categories to all of your pages. But no categories like "User:Default's Weegees" or "User:Default's Creations."* 6. * Please group articles about a character into one of three categories. , , or . (Do not put any of these categories on any non-character) 7. * Do not add any unnecessary notes or comments in articles. (Example 1: Duh!) (Example 2: Pretty ugly looking thing, right?) (Example 3: He looks amazing!) 8. * Due to the amount of it, any FNAF content that is not from Five Nights at Freddygee's 3, or Five Nights at ADgee's 3 will be deleted. This includes duplicate animatronics (example: Two Freddys. A Freddygee and Freddyalleo). Please note that once the remaining content is added, new content will be deleted as well. For other topics you cannot make articles out of, please read Overweegeefied Topics for any other topics you cannot make articles of on Weegeepedia. 9. * MLP content will be kept to an absolute minimum, due to not wanting to offend people of that fandom. If you really want to make MLP related content, please discuss with the admins. 10. * You must and create a thread explaining why on the deletion board before it can be marked as a . 11. * As of June 11th, 2015, 6:15PM, US EST, there is a suspension on new pages about clones (EX: Malleo Clone 5). If a page is made while this rule is active (it should be removed if not), then it will be deleted. 12. * Please do not remove the maintenance templates. The templates are used to help keep track of articles lacking certain traits that other articles have, and admins can't fix these articles if the maintenance templates are removed. 13. * If a character article contains no image and is a stub, it will be deleted. Users may add their own images (provided they comply with the rules) to prevent this. 14. * If a new character page is created with no image, it will be deleted, unless an image is added very shortly after its creation. We allow a 10 minute buffer in case users cannot add an image right off for some reason. 15. * Articles must have proper organization. See Thread:59788 for details. Also see Useful Page Elements and Page Organization for help with organizing your page. |-|Policies= Some rules require a longer explanation, like the Sock Puppetry one. Here we will go into some detail about these rules. As a community, we here at the McJuggerNuggets Wiki value our contributors and have managed to build a sizeable following. However, as with all wikis in general, there will always be an editor who will not play nice or have difficulty understanding what this wiki is all about. These rules will serve to try and help contributors who are confused or needing a little help while also discouraging contributions that are not in the spirit of this Wiki: Contributors should be aware that this wiki & the McJuggerNuggets videos in general earns a 14+ rating at best, for coarse language and destructive sequences. Please read our simple rules: they should be easy to follow by anyone. If you have any questions, message an admin! These are the basic rules for this wiki. Remember, breaking them will bring consequences. 1. Do not claim existing characters as your own creations. Label official superhero fannons as (superhero)fanon (ie. X-Men Fanon) and original works as (Earth#)Fanon. 2.You may join any universe unless told not to by it's creator. When creating a universe, use the Earth # System (ie, Earth-93, Earth-53, etc.)3. You may not use other fanon characters without the permission of their creator. 4. Include warning messages for Fanons that include excessive violence and gore, even if you're just describing it. 5. PORNOGRAPHY IS NOT ALLOWED. 6.Label Satires and Parodies as such. 7. Vandalism is not allowed. 8. Please sign your user name after your work so you can receive full credit. 9. Do not ridicule or make fun of people for their writing abilities or lack thereof. Also, do not make fun of people for story lines and characters. 10. Do not make articles that aren't superhero-related*. 11. Do not write on people's articles or change them without permission, unless it's something small, like spelling or grammar mistakes. If you want to comment on the article ether do it on the discussion page or the user's page. 12. Cuss words must be censored (using symbols like @, #, !, *, &, % ect) Breaking any of the above rules most likely will range in consequences from a simple warning to a complete ban and deletion of your articles. Just follow them and everything should be fine. *Break this rule, and that article will be deleted. If any of you have other rules you think should be included, please post them on User:Adamantium93's talk This is the way to clean up bias. === As always the forum rules apply to this section and can be found by clicking this link - STV RULES AND GUIDLINES In addtion there are seperate rules for this section of the forum. There will be NO EXCUSES for not knowing any of these rules, and NO EXCEPTIONS will be made for any individual found breaking them. If you suspect anyone breaking rule then you must inform myself, Maqrkk, Penguinjosh or Joshjb via PM immediately. 1. This is just a game. Please think before you post, remember that it's not personal, it's mafia. Show consideration and respect for other players and the hosts at all times. Any bad attitudes will not be tolerated, the first instance will earn you a warning and any further occurrences will result in you being mod killed and banned from future games. 2. If you sign up to play a game you must be willing to participate fully in it, Quick Mafia will last 1-2 weeks, but a full game can be a month long commitment. Whilst you are alive in the game you must post at least once every 24 hours, failing to do so will result in you being mod killed or replaced. If you can't participate anymore please PM the hosts, don't just not show up as it's discourteous to the other players. 3. If it states in your role you have to use a night ability (e.g. protection, role block, kill), you must PM this to all the hosts during the night period, failing to do so will result in you being mod killed or replaced. If your ability is one that gives you a choice between several answers to be revealed to the rest of the players (i.e. Gossip Role), you may not announce in the thread what the other options you were given to choose between. If you want to bring these other options up you must find a way of building a case against the party involved instead. Failure to keep to this rule will result in you being mod killed and/or banned. Once you have submitted your PM you will unable to change your mind on any action you have decided to take in it. 4. In order for your vote to count they must be bolded (i.e. Vote Sandi). You are expected to vote in every lynch, we do understand that it is possible to miss game deadlines from time to time but if you miss two lynch votes in a row you will mod killed or replaced. Once you have voted you will unable to change it in any way. 5. You must not out any of your teammates under any circumstances (i.e. you are about to be lynched and you offer your team up as a bargaining chip), this includes any teammates who have already died in the game. If you do out any of your teammates you will be immediately mod killed and will also be banned from future games, the duration of this ban will be decided on by the Mafia Moderators. 6. BTSC (Behind The Scenes Contact) is not allowed unless it is stipulated in your role. Any BTSC also ends if you have been killed, this means you are forbidden to discuss the game with your teammates if they are still playing. If you suspect anyone of having illegal BTSC you must inform the hosts and the moderators immediately, it is their responsibility to investigate, not yours. If you are found out to have iillegal BTSC you will be mod killed immediately and will be banned from future games. 7. You will be unable to edit your posts in this part of the forum as this is a fundamental rule in Mafia. The double post mod is set to merge any posts that are made less than two hours apart rather than 24 hours like the rest of the forum. 8. Only alive players may post in the current game, so if you did not sign up to play or if you have died you are not allowed to post until the game has finished. 9. All players posts must be in regular sized black font, the only text modifying tthat is allowed is when you vote in the lynch. In this case you must bold the words which is done by highlighting the text and then clicking the 'B' icon at the top left of your text box. All Off Topic talk must be in the Mafia Chat Thread, but remember that you are not allowed to talk about the current game there. 10. When you are replying to a comment that another player has made it is always best to quote the piece you are referring to in your reply. You can do this by clicking the 'Quote' icon in the top right hand side of their post in the thread, just remember to delete any text in the quote that isn't relevant. 11. If you need to refer to more than one quote it is best to link back to the post rather than quote all of them directly in your reply. In order to link back to a specific post you must have the correct URL address for it, to find that you click on the title that is in that post, highlight and copy the web address which will look like this: You then decide where in your post you would like the link to be placed, highlight that text and click the 'URL' icon near the top middle of your text box. That text will now look like this: You then add a '=' sign in the first bracket, followed by the web address of the post you want to link back to so that it now looks like this: Then press preview and you should see: 12. To ensure that games are hosted efficiently and responsibly, the following requirements are being put into place. People wishing to host a game must have played at least two games prior to hosting, either on SpoilerTV or another well-known mafia gaming site. You must be responsible enough to play a game before being allowed to host. First time hosts are required to have a co-host. It will reduce the pressure on you, and host discussion can be invaluable both in the preparation of the game and when hosting. Players that have hosted before are not required to have a co-host. They must consider the responsibilities and consequences of hosting alone, and then decide whether they wish to have a co-host. 1. All material must be g to pg rated (U.S. rating, not U.K.) 2. Don't claim other people's work to be yours, and ask permission before using the in your own work. 3. Don't make articles that don't relate to DW fanfic 4. Be creative and have fun. I'll add more later. Coming up with an idea about Digital Haunt is central to the project and the wiki, and the more people that share their thoughts the better! We do however want to keep things easy to read and navigate. For this reason, if you have ideas that you want to share, please create a blog post on the subject. In the category box on the right hand side add the categories 'User Theory' or 'Analysis' and then they will appear in the appropriate category page. Also, feel free to link back to your theory or analysis from relevant theme or song pages in the "User Theories" section at the bottom of the page. The owner of STAR WARS: Dark Horizons MUSH has laid down the following rules to guide players and staff as to acceptable behavior and content. If you find that any player is violating the game rules, please report their actions to a staff member. This staff member will either make a judgement as to the violation of the rules and appropriate punishment, or pass judgement on to a higher staff member. If you are dissatisfied with a staff member's judgement or if a staffer violated the rules, you should appeal to a higher level of staff. Any staff member may refuse to deal with your complaint, though this will only be done for a very good reason. Remember, this game is not a democracy, and these rules are not laws. These rules are open to interpretation by the staff. We will strictly punish obvious violations of the spirit as well as the letter of these rules. I, the owner, reserve the right to change the rules as necessary, and my interpretation of the rules is considered binding. I reserve the right to remove any player who cannot abide by the spirit and letter of these rules or who proves a permanent detriment to the Dark Horizons MUSH community. By playing on Star Wars: Dark Horizons, you consent to follow these rules. Types of Punishments 1. Warning: Indication level that you have been warned for unacceptable behaviour. These can be given out at the sysop's discretion. 2. Experience Penalty: Loss of experience level. You will be demoted to the previous level with the minimum experience required for that level. 3. Level Reset: The reduction of your character to level 1 (Skills , Charm , Children , Lays and Player kills will not be reset). You will lose one dragon kill, if you have any. 4. Character Deletion: Your character is deleted. Future characters of yours are considered probationary, and any further misactions will immediately result in punishments. 5. Banning: Repeated punishments may result in a ban. If You have questions about the editing of the Wiki pages, see the comprehensive . Rules are things that must be obeyed in the game. No Hacking is one of the rules, but that is not the only rule of Stick Arena Ballistick. There are a lot more rules that must be obeyed. If a player breaks a rule, he/she may be banned by other players during a game or Moderators during a game and at the lobby. Here are the rules, Bold ones are very important! (Including those who may be given admin rights or those who already have such rights.) He or she then must hit the ball such that it bounces once on his or her half of the table, and then bounces at least one time on the opponent's half. If the service is "good", then the opponent must then make a "good" return — by returning the ball before it bounces on his or her side of the table a second time. Returning the serve is one of the most difficult parts of the game, as the server's first move is often the least predictable. File:Header scoring.png Points are awarded to the opponent for any of several errors in play: Allowing the ball to bounce on one's own side twice Not hitting the ball after it has bounced on one's own side Having the ball bounce on one's own side after hitting it Hitting the ball before it has bounced on one's own side of the table,(i.e. making a volley) except if it is clearly on the outside of the table when it is hit. Double hitting the ball. Note that the hand below the wrist is considered part of the bat and making a good return off one's hand or fingers is allowed, but hitting one's hand or fingers and subsequently hitting the racket is a double strike and an error. Allowing the ball to strike anything other than the racket (see above for definition of the racket) Causing the ball not to bounce on the opponent's half (i.e., not making a "good" return) Placing one's free hand on the playing surface or moving the playing surface Offering and failing to make a good serve (i.e., making a service toss and failing to strike the ball fairly into play) Making an illegal serve: one deemed outside the rules (e.g., one preceded by a player's hiding the ball or his failing to toss the ball at least 16 centimeters (six inches) in the air. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated, and violators will be blocked. This includes harassment towards admins. If we find evidence you are cyber-stalking any of the users, not only will we block you permanently, but we will also report you to Wikia staff, as cyber-stalking is a crime punishable by law. However, the context of your comments shall be taken into account. If you call someone an idiot because they were harassing you severely, than they will be punished. Racism, sexual discrimination and sexism will not be tolerated. (Currency is defined as Dynamis bills, Limbus coins, Soul plates, or any other in game currency player to player) * You may only trade currency at a ratio of 1 to 1. This means you may not give currency to other characters, as that would be a 1 to 0 trade. * You may not give currency to alternate accounts or mules. * You may not trade currency of different types (e.g. Dynamis bills for Soul plates, ABCs for Rare gear dropped from ZNM, etc.) * Violation of these rules will result in deletion of all associated currency on each account involved. Here, you can read all about the animals and characters of the popular TV series and also add your own knowledge to their pages. To help everyone get along, it is recommended you read the rules to being part of the wiki. The rules of the MUX allow the highest possible level of free roleplay in the Transformers Universe MUX environment as humanly possible, without having a great deal of interplayer troubles. If you are a player on our MUX, you are expected to know these rules. If you break them, a warning or more severe penalty will be incurred, potentially up to the point of being requested to leave the MUX. Ignorance is NOT a valid claim for violations, since these rules are publicly posted and available for all. Rules governing Combat can be found Here, Here, and Here. OGame's ruleset is as follows, paraphrased from the forums. This wikia will be allowed to do whatever but first we need some rules. *Rule 1 Rude talking on talk pages I.I allow cussing on your page, but cussing on people's pages,is right!! The only place public cussing is permitted is on the Trickers page which will never come. *Rule 2: No drug or sexual talk. *Rule 3: Use confusing info on pages. *Rule 4: Do not have fun! No swering The following rules are in effect throughout the wiki, abide by them! 1. Keep it appropriate - kids play AQW and this site is meant to be kid friendly.2. Don't deface the wiki - this is a collection of knowledge that many have contributed to. If you are angry or want attention, take it elsewhere or you will likely not be coming back.3. Limit the profanity - This is more so for Talk pages and personal User Pages. I don't want the profanity to get out of hand. Remember, kid friendly.4. Dont Flame Others - If your angry at someone, or just flat out don't like them. Go punch a pillow for a while, but don't bring it onto this wiki.5. Be Fair & Balanced - This is for the staff. A wiki staff member (SysOp, HoFO, or otherwise) may not use their privileges for the benefit of themselves or their clan.6. Accounts - You may only have one wiki account, which cannot be shared with others. Anyone found sharing and/or having multiple accounts will be banned immediately without notice for an indefinite amount of time. Failure to abide by these rules may result in indefinite account suspension. These rules may be modified at any time. safty rules: ======== The one thing that we do require you do when making your Wiki pages, is to follow the Layout Guides for creating Player and Alliance pages. This is a good way to help keep DT History clean and looking sharp. If you have a very extensive article, it may be ok to add a Table of Contents, but if your article is short, it is not all that necessary. You can add more content sections to your Player or Alliance Wiki article, but do not add to or edit any of the formatting of the layout of the page. * Keep it Clean When it comes to the content you are posting on the Wiki, all forum rules apply here. This means absolutely no flaming, trolling, ranting, offensive or derogatory language or links, etc. * No Cheater Accusations Just like the forum, the Wiki is no place for pointing fingers. If you believe someone is cheating, please let us know through the support center. * Post in English Only English is the common language among all of us in the community, so you must use English only here. * Only Post Recruit Links on Player Profile Layouts. If you would like to post your recruit link on your DT Wiki profile, you may, but only in the "External Links" section of your player profile. * Keep Your Posts Within Reason Do not “hijack” a Wiki article by posting something completely unrelated to the title of the article. * No Spamming Again, as with the forum, do not post just for the sake of posting. Try to make every post worthwhile. Articles containing just a few of words (like “I luv DT” or “Somebody should write something here”) are frowned upon. * No Adult Images or Language Do not upload adult images to the Wiki or link to them in your posts. Some of the players using the Wiki are quite young, and we also have people of all ages playing from work or public places, or who just don’t want to see those kinds of images! In keeping with our family friendly atmosphere, adult-only articles and comments are also not allowed. When in doubt, check with a mod or tutor before making your post. * No Advertising For Other Sites Do not post links to other websites such as other online games, programs, or get-rich-quick schemes. Do not discuss or post links to sites that offer illegal downloads of software or media. Please message AlmightyBigfoot888 in Dark Throne Gold at with any possible concerns. 1. Rules 1. * No one is above them, especially the staff and the administrator shouldn't break the rules unless there are special conditions, as they have to set an example for everyone. 2. * Everyone should obey these rules as they are the guidelines that keep us from creating chaos and despair on this role-playing site. Play it nice, keep to the rules. 2. Harrassment 1. * Discrimination will not be tolerated in any way and is seen as a serious offense. 2. * Racism is will neither be tolerated and is also seen as a serious violation. 3. * Sexual harrassment will not be tolerated either and is as well a serious offense against the rules and the individual you're harrassing. 4. * Flaming has to be kept to a minimum, try giving an educated argument instead of shouting vulgarity. 3. Respect 1. * In order to stop people from harrassing other people you'll have to respect all the other individuals on the site. I'm not asking for you to hug everyone and be best friends with everyone, but you yourself can decide to tolerate another person (If not, try to walk away instead of starting something). Might there be any issues, be sure to PM a staff member about it. Be sure not to be disrespectful to anyone however. 2. * Don't continuesly bother the staff to grade your material, it's quite rude as we already do what we can to get things done as fast as possible. 4. Multiple accounts 1. * Refrain from using multiple accounts, regardless of reasons. One person should have one account in order for us to keep in check that everyone has the same limitations (Such as the amount of Canons). If you and your sibling are both registered then please PM a staff member about it to avoid confusion. 5. Content 1. * Refrain from posting links to adult content (Pictures, movies or sites). To eleborate on the term 'adult Content'; Porn, hentai or any of that kind of content. As said, don't post this kind of crap here.b. Refrain from advertising other sites in any other place then the Advertisement board. 6. Language 1. * Try to keep chat speak to a minimum. 2. * Try to keep vulgar language to a minimum as well. 3. * Do not go around spamming, especially if it's in combination with advertisement. It's plainly retarded or/and annoying. lolsonicrulez lolsonicstillrulez Hello, welcome to the rules page. this will help you understand the rules and policies of this wiki. The Rules in the text based pre-rpg, or the text game that came out before the real game have three categories: Major, Minor, and Misdemeanor. Major Rules are for the protection of the site and it's members, Minor Rules are rules that protect the rpg experience, Misdemeanors are really just annoyances, which are subject to change at any time. They are in order from most to least serious. Let's get some rules down. This is quite important because, unlike many wikis, the pages within are 100% user created. This makes standards much more important, though it does make things much more free form. One note with the rules: when the word 'can' is used it means just that. It can happen. It doesn't mean it will happen. 1) No Godmodding...ever. If you want to involve someone's character (even in a seemingly minor and insignificant way) then ask them first. 2) No drama. PLEASE. If there is drama going on then alert one of the mods so that it can be worked out in a fair manner. Do not drag any personal drama into the game. 3) Please use proper grammar and spelling. Firefox has a spell checker right in the browser. Please use LJ cuts to keep the layout neat and pretty. 4) This is an AU game so canon issues will be kept fairly loose and easy. That being said, try to keep things believable. Hermione Granger is not going to suddenly want to be a Death Eater. There are a number of canon relationships (Bill/Fleur, Tonks/Lupin) that do not necessarily need to happen in the game. We will leave these up to the discretion of the players involved. 5) There will be no Mary-Sue's allowed in the game. No one will quake in fear at the mere mention of our character's name. Remember, flaws and weaknesses are fun and crucial to character development. Also, please try to keep any emo-ish tendencies to a minimum. Characters are allowed to be sad and angry but don't make them cry every time it rains. 6) Plotting is most definitely encouraged. You do not need to come to the mods for every little thing that your character does or plans to do. Any MAJOR plot elements should be run past the mods though. These include things like deaths, new magical abilities, and anything that would effect a character other than your own. 7) Keep IC and OOC comments in the proper communities. 8) The game will run in real time but if you're busy and you absolutely needed to do something on a specific date then just back date the post. 9) Do your best to vary who you're playing with. We understand that it's fun to play with your friends but you could seriously be missing out on some fun if that's all you do. 10) Players (mods included) will be limited to 3 characters. The first two can be whomever you like but the third must be an antagonist. Please please please do not pick a model as your PB. The dead eyes and vacant expressions are really not much fun to look at. 11) If you have any questions, problems, plot ideas, or anything you think could improve the game, please contact the mods. This is a game for and about the players and their characters. We want you to have fun and help make the game your own. 12) For the sake of clarity the journals will be wao_lastname of your character. In the case of a Weasley use the first and middle initial and then the last name. (FYI: For those of you who have hundreds of icons to upload, we do have a uploading program available (for PC only, sorry) to assist with getting those uploaded all at once.) In your acceptance email, we will send the desired user name for those of you picking up a previously taken character. 13) Because of mature content, this game is 18 & over. 14) While this game is not Deathly Hallows compliant you may add elements from the final book to the story so long as they fit within our established canon. 15) There is a minimum activity requirement of 1 journal entry per week and 1 RP per every 2 weeks per character. 1. By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws. 2. Respect the forum. - No spamming (posting meaningless posts) - No double posting (Posting the same message, or slightly reworded messages) - No page widening (Expanding the width of the forum by using very large fonts/images) - Don't post duplicates of the same thread * - Don't post Threads that Violate Rule 1 3. Keep topics relevant to their sections. This means you need to THINK BEFORE YOU POST! For example, Does a question regarding the game belong in the forum help section? - No, it goes into "Game Help". If you don't know where your thread belongs, then post it in the Seireitei lounge and explain that you weren't sure where it belongs, a moderator will eventually point you in the right direction. 4. No back seat moderating. If someone does something wrong, report them and we will deal with it. Flaming or attacking them will just get you into trouble. 5. Do not publicly give out personal information. - Your home address - Phone/mobile numbers * - Forum and Game Account information (Such as Passwords) 6. Do not advertise for other sites. This however doesn't mean that you cannot talk about other sites/games here. Outright advertising is just not allowed. 7. Your signature should be no more then 2 images each one equalling no greater then 600x150 - If you can't express yourself within those dimensions, don't or else your signature will be deleted and infractions will be handed out. 8. Avatars can be no wider than 140px and no longer the 200px. 9. XAT chat rooms should only be posted in Social Groups. 10. Making an alternate account to break any of these rules will get all of your accounts banned immediately. 11. Using any kind of material that another member made without permission or credit will result in an infraction for each case of ripping and removal of the content. - Avatars, signatures and any other art * - Tutorials & Guides 12. Do not argue with a moderator. If they gave you an infraction then it was for a reason. If you feel that you have been wrongly punished, then make a post in the staff report section. The internet=/=serious business: So relax. Do not feed the drama llama: Drama is meant for the game and amongst the characters/muses, not for the players/muns to delve into. Any problems amongst players need to be addressed to the mods or they need to sort things out quickly themselves. Problematic relations out of character will not be tolerated for they affect the general atmosphere of the role-play itself. Do not flame other players: This has already been covered but please keep in mind this will not be tolerated, that does not apply to in-character, you can be as rude as you please, but out-of-character will not be taken lightly. We want to encourage a healthy RP amongst muns. Same goes for the moderators, do not bad mouth or insult anyone in assisting running the game, you will be dealt with accordingly. Absolutely no godmodding/meta-gaming: No one has complete control, not even people in high power. Always run a severe action or any action at all by the other character before performing it. You will receive one warning for such a mistake, if you do it again you will be banned. God-modding will not be tolerated on any level. This means that you cannot play the part of another person's character or do something to their character without consulting them first. This may sound like a given, but we want to avoid and prevent any possible drama before it blows up. Do not break the fourth wall: Pay attention to journal posts when they are privated and hackable and use your best jurisdiction when deciding if you can hack them or not. The fourth wall comes into play when Character A and Character B have a filtered conversation or have a plot going on behind Character C’s back without them knowing. Though this first must be cleared with the player of Character C if it has a large impact on them, breaking the fourth wall would be that Character D automatically knows that the plot is going on with no means by actually knowing it did. Do not do this. Stay in-character: Just because your power canonly was taken away does not mean that you change your character completely. If they are egotistical, make them, if they have a strange infatuation with balloons then perhaps that’s something to look into? Try not to cross the line of being completely out-of-character though. Blatant OOCness will not be accepted in this community and if you are encouraged to report any such thing to a high degree to a moderator if you find it necessary. IC=/=OOC: Simple. You are not your character. Namely only humans are allowed in this game: No creatures of the sort, death-gods such as those featured in Death Note are questionable and should be brought up with a moderator if you have any questions. The only applications that should contain non-human forms are those with human traits such as speech and human-like appearance. You may convert such characters to fit within the universe but please make that known in your application. If you wish to apply as a vampire or a werewolf, you MUST read over the FAQ. Your character is not perfect: Lets face it, we’re all human here right? We all make mistakes, well so should your character. Being a wizard has nothing to do with it, Harry Potter was not perfect and nor is your character. Magic solves a great many things of course, but when you attempt to seem to overpower or outsmart the headmasters of the school, that is where we draw the line. HP!canon stands above original!canon: We completely understand the freedom of expression in a character but there are always boundaries to how far a character can be portrayed. Your characters are wizards, so they need to be following Harry Potter canon rules. This means, you must make sure his/her background fit into the Harry Potter canon world. The question to ask yourself is what would you character do if he or she had been a wizard all their life? How would you create an Hogwarts-equivalent version of your character? Applications must be your own work: When providing information about your character in your application please do keep in mind that an application is to seek the knowledge that one has about the character, therefore, please DO NOT COPY-PASTE AND PARAPHRASE from some website and put it into your application. Paraphrasing is somewhat-allowed, paraphrasing 90% of your application is not. This is called plagiarism. You will have to wait two weeks before re-apping the character if you are found just dragging over information from Wikipedia or other sites. This is unacceptable. Stay active: Please keep your character(s) active and alive in game. Players are expected to post at least once a month to retain their characters. Hiatus is the only reason that a character should be inactive and there is a post for such announcements that one should respond to if they do not wish to be removed from the game. It's your responsibility to keep Mods informed about your Hiatus. If a player finds themselves on the inactivity list (which is done every six weeks), they have until the next inactivity list occurs to do three posts or two posts and a thread of significant length, except in cases of hiatus. Heterosexuality and homosexuality are both permitted but please kept all NC-17 material under a cut: Think to yourself who will be reading this and do they really want to see it all? We also ask that you lock said entries, particularly when they're on the logs community. There is a six character limit per person: Muns who can prove to be active with all their characters can request another spot. Original characters are a NO: This rule was added in 2006, but they are no longer up for application. I know a boy named Jake Wict His mom has rules that are very strict No playing video games No having a crush on the world's cutest girl,Shelia James No fun No tan in the sun No sleeping in a laying position No breathing without permission Next time you think your mom's newest rule is uncool Think of Jake's insane mom and her rules. Baseball around the world is played under three major rules codes, which differ only slightly. The North American professional leagues and many amateur leagues use the Official Baseball Rules, which are published to the public by The Sporting News; U.S. collegiate and college-age play is often covered by the baseball rulebook of the NCAA; and U.S. high school and high school-age baseball is governed by the NFHS rules. IBAF international teams, most leagues outside North America, and youth baseball organizations such as Little League, PONY League, and Cal Ripken League all play under slightly modified versions of the Official Baseball Rules. Unlike many other sports, the Official Baseball Rules have remained largely static during the modernization of the game. This is evidenced in much esoteric or awkward language in the rulebook; also, rules experts such as Chris Jaksa and Rick Roder have identified over 50 outright errors in the book, mostly concerning rare or subtle differences. Many baseball players, fans, and administrators view the rules and traditions of professional baseball as time-tested and nearly sacrosanct. The designated hitter rule, first introduced to play over 30 years ago in 1973, is still subject to lively debate and has been adopted by only one of the two American major leagues and one of the two Japanese major leagues — though almost all other leagues around the world have adopted it. In fact, NFHS rules allow the designated hitter to bat for any position. In contrast to the Official Baseball Rules, the NFHS is continually refining and updating its rule book to meet the needs of the United States high school game. The NCAA updates its rulebook less often the NFHS, but still more current. However, the static nature of the rules has also been a source of the sport's appeal to many fans, as it allows reasonable comparisons to be drawn between players and teams of different eras. Such comparisons are not possible in sports in which the rules have changed significantly over the years. The static nature of the rules also allows a modern fan to easily follow an account of a game played long ago. As a result, baseball has more of a "history" than most other sports. As an illustration of this, many newspaper sports sections publish a small This Day in Baseball History feature with highlights of games played as far back as 100 years or more. In Japan, if a regular-season game is tied after nine innings, only three extra innings may be played. The accepted codes of etiquette also differ in Japanese baseball, though these are not written in official rules. Other major differences often center around additional safety rules. Most amateur leagues prohibit malicious contact by runners, are stricter on interference calls, and require double-earflap helmets. For an overview of the rules themselves, see Main article: baseball, the baseball rules category below, or each individual rule book. Okay guys, I've given enough warnings etc, here are the new rules for this wiki. If you don't follow them, you can fosho expect to be blocked, got it?? Wikis are fun, aren't they? Anyone can edit almost any parts of the site. However, to keep this wiki "active and open", we have a few guidelines. Below is a list of a few clear guidelines that we want users to remember. Guide to character generation - by Edward Glamkowski 1st rule: You do not ask questions. 2nd rule: YOU DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS. 3rd rule: No Excuses. 4th rule: No lies. 5th rule: You HAVE to trust Tyler. Some players will have very strong feelings on these subjects, and many may find offence. Help Channel is for help only, there is to be no off topic conversations to be had in that channel, refusing to obey this will cause you to be removed form that channel. Further refusal will result in a ban. Please refrain from typing sentences in capitals, it is concidered rude and shouting. NO Cheating or use of any exploitation..ZERO tolerance will be used. The development team can add and make changes to these rules at any time..Please take time to digest these rules and obey at all times.. Thank you. Dev/Mod team BASIC1) Drama and Wank are the fastest way to suck the fun out of even the most epic posts. If you have a problem, we ask that you resolve it off-community between the involved players first, if at all possible. Should this prove to be impossible, please contact one of the mods for assistance in attempting to fix the issue. Please bring 'evidence' of the problem in question so that, as in the ideal courtroom, we may provide a fair and unbiased mediation/judgment.We would prefer you address concerns or complaints in this manner before (or even instead of) starting flame wars, leaving rude anonymous comments, or posting angry things to FandomSecrets. Trolling the community, incidentally, is a bannable offense and we will not take kindly to it.2) Please remember that there will be multiples (in some cases, many, many... many multiples) of some/most characters. Please try to get along with the other players, even if there are differences you disagree with. If you can not get along, at least remember rule #1 and be civil.3) This community is PG-13. The line can get a little blurry, but we ask that you cooperate to the best of your abilities in staying on the correct side of it. Please friends-lock to the community any posts that end up running questionably over said line, and should you choose to continue any threads beyond the PG-13 line, please finish the remainder of your threading in a post elsewhere at a location of your choice (your LJ, a website, google documents, AIM, etc.). This is for the protection of our younger players and to provide a level of base comfort for all.4) Only join the main community as the account of your character(s). If you want to see the community on your f-list under your normal LJ name, please watch the community instead. You may join the OOC community as whatever account you wish.5) The 3 Strikes rule is still in play. However, due to the fresh start, those players not already banned will have their metaphorical slates wiped clean and be given a fresh start. In any case, we rarely have to enforce this--but like the name implies, if we have to give you three big warnings, you will be politely but firmly asked to leave the community.6) Advertisements for other communities/games/what-have-you may be placed in the OOC community, within reason. (We reserve the right to delete advertisement posts.)CHARACTERS1) Character death on a minor scale allowed only if all parties involved are agreed on the matter and specifically state themselves as such in their posts before play. Character death on a large scale--that is, more than two deaths--must meet with mod approval before going into effect. Any characters that die may be revived after 7 days have passed.2) AUs are happily accepted here! We do ask that you try to make them plausible and keep them from swinging wildly OOC, as that defies the idea behind an AU. No OCs will be allowed to play (although they may, of course, be made mention of by a character). Age and gender restrictions have been lifted, provided the privileges are not abused.3) We will, however, continue to have a restriction on supernatural/monster characters simply due to the risk of potential god-moding and resultant drama/wank. If you would like a character with a supernatural/monster background beyond the ghosts/spirits shown to exist in the games, please request this of a mod beforehand so that we can check to make sure of your intentions. Honestly, if you do not intend to god-mode, you will more than likely be granted the character.4) We ask that you run any Massive Plots by the mods so that we can help you streamline and keep a safe, guiding eye on them, as well as potentially work with their adverse effects on any future plans for the DR. Personal plots on the smaller side may, naturally, be run as you please, within the guidelines of the rules. Rules may refer to: * Treatment of Vandalism * Blogs and Chat * Editing Guidelines * Image Guideline Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, is the largest and most successful wiki. This page lists some of the overarching guidelines that have helped make Wikipedia a success. You may like to consider them for this Wikia. 1. * BE BOLD! in updating pages. Go ahead, it's a wiki! Encourage others, including those who disagree with you, likewise to BE BOLD! 2. * Be civil to other users at all times. 3. * Ignore all rules. If the rules discourage you from improving or maintaining the wiki's quality, ignore them. 4. * When in doubt, take it to the talk page. We have all the time in the world. Mutual respect is the guiding behavioural principle of Wikia and, although everyone knows that their writing may be edited mercilessly, it is easier to accept changes if the reasons for them are understood. If you discuss changes on the article's talk (or discussion) page before you make them, you should reach consensus faster and happier. 5. * Respect copyright. Wikia uses the GNU Free Documentation License. Everything you contribute must be compatible with that license. 6. * Decent edit summaries and clear and transparent explanations are universally appreciated. Other editors need to understand your process, and it also helps you yourself to understand what you did after a long leave of absence from an article. Please state what you changed and why. If the explanation is too long, add more on the discussion page. 7. * Assume good faith; in other words, try to consider that the person on the other end of the discussion is a thinking, rational being who is trying to positively contribute to the project — unless, and only unless, you have firm, solid, and objective proof to the contrary. Merely disagreeing with you is no such proof. 8. * Particularly, don't revert good faith edits. Reverting is too powerful sometimes. Don't succumb to the temptation, unless you're reverting very obvious vandalism (like "LALALALAL*&*@#@THIS_SUX0RZ", or someone changing "1+2=3" to "1+2=17"). If you really can't stand something, revert once, with an edit summary something like "(rv) I disagree strongly, I'll explain why in talk." and immediately take it to talk. 9. * No personal attacks. Don't write that user such and so is an idiot, or insult him/her (even if (s)he is an idiot). Instead, explain what they did wrong, why it is wrong, and how to fix it. If possible, fix it yourself (but see above). 10. * Be graceful: Be liberal in what you accept, be conservative in what you do. Try to accommodate other people's quirks the best you can, but try to be as polite, solid, and straightforward as possible yourself. 11. * Sign your posts on talk pages using ~~~~, which gets replaced by your username and timestamp when you hit Save. But don't sign on mainspace articles. 12. * Use the preview button; it helps prevents edit conflicts and mistakes. It's important to have fun... but try to make sure those around you have fun too! The rules are for people that are editing here for the first time, or for those who don't get the message. If you think you understand the rules, then feel free to edit! Please keep in mind the following before editing: 1. * Try to keep information about others neutral. It's okay to write about negative things that people have done, but don't just attack others (that is, no "He's an idiot."). 2. * Don't mass delete other people's work without good reason (vandalism). 3. * Write in the third person (that is, no "I did such and such"). 4. * Contribute what you can or give your contribution to someone else to post up tastefully. In the show, Ned the Pie Maker's ability to touch the dead and bring them back to life is governed by three rules. While anyone over 13 can edit this wiki, we do have rules for what you can put here. Example: [Tags]: (Cursing, Innapropriate Content) One restriction of this is that you must not have any of this within the visible part of the story when the spoiler is opened at the top of a fullscreen(windowed) internet browser. Bij overtreden van één van de regels, gemeld door Jagex of andere spelers die via de report button iets kunnen melden. Kan er een straf op aanvolgen, die straffen kunnen uitlopen van een Mute tot een Ban. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to check out or community's rules! Please carefully read each section. Or don't. It would be better if you do so you don't unintentionally get removed. Our rules are simple and to the point: 1.Racism, nudity, harassment of other players in a personal or profane manner... Do we really have to spell it out for you? Unacceptable behavior can be even worse than cheating. So, Don't Do It! 2.Only one (1) account per person. If you are playing with others on a LAN or sharing the same computer with more than one player in the game (at work, family, etc) please contact us with your situation. We monitor very strictly for multi-accounting and this is a fast way to get banned, or at the least locked out of your account. 3.No automation is allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, macros, plug-ins, scripts, 3rd party software, etc, etc, etc. You get the point, do not try to cheat, you will be caught and banned before you ever see 2208. NOTE: We RARELY give second chances where it comes to cheating. 'Nuff said... 4.Bugs and Exploits are your friend. We all know they exist and as you can guess, the exploitation of said occurrences is an unacceptable game practice. Now how are they your friend you ask? Players who alert the staff of an exploit or a bug that is being or could be abused may be rewarded with something as a thank you for helping keep the game fair for all. Honesty, Karma, Incentive, call it what you want. Doing the right thing is always the best course of action and as exploitation is just another form of cheating... See NOTE of Rule 3 above. 5.Advertising - We know most gamers play a lot of different games, but game banners or direct advertising for other games is not allowed anywhere on our site. Unless of course we put it there. 6.The selling of accounts or in-game property for any form of real money is not allowed. 7.We will not view or censor any private or guild messages sent to other players. We DO have the capability to view all messages sent and will do so only if it is brought to our attention that someone is violating any other rules. 8.We of course appreciate all of the contributions and purchases from our Nomadic Merchant, but doing so does not mean you are able to ignore our rules. Please read this site rules, and we hope you can follow it whenever you in this site! 1. * Mocking any user's creations is prohibited. We're like family here, so we must not get into a fight. 2. * Don't do any vandalism to the official creations. You may edit some but please don't vandalizing or publish it to out of this side. 3. * We do not allow harsh comments on the articles or even to any users. 4. * We do not tolerate any photos that consist of inhumanity, violence, pornography, and any photo that will ruin the image of the concerned side. 5. * If you don't have any photos to publish on your fan fiction article, you may create it with any applications or you can also editing the colors of the official images. 6. * If you need any help, the featured answer is you should ask to other users or to the Community Central. 7. * We always welcome you to this site.
