"The Ten Rings are a group of terrorists that attacked and captured Tony Stark and killed his military escort. They seem to operate mainly in the remote mountain cave complexes in the Kunar region of Afghanistan. Their base layout includes tents covered with desert camo in mountain valleys at a cave entrance. As seen it is in the first Iron Man movie, they had large quantities of Stark Industries weapons, mainly missiles, before Tony in his first suit proceeded to set fire to it and blow up the supplies. In Iron Man 3, this symbol is shown numerous times during the movie. It possibly has something to to with the Mandarin or Aldrich Killian."@en . "Terrorists / Fanatics"@en . "Abu Bakar"@en . . The organization quickly rose to infamy as a notorious group of terrorists, with its source of power and wealth remaining a well-kept secret. Unknown to nearly the whole world, the key members of the Ten Rings made up the backbone for the infrastructure to the organization. However, the Mandarin was able to easily replace these members with others of similar attributes, thus maintaining a high level of efficiency for his various operations. The purpose of these operations remained unknown, even to his trusted leaders, allowing for the organization to maintain a virtually-immortal standing."@en . "Active"@en . . . It is led by The Mandarin, and the Rings serve collectively as a major antagonistic faction within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Trevor Slattery is shown escaping in the short film All Hail the King with a Ten Rings agent helping. Originally led in Afghanistan by a terrorist named Raza to build super-weapons for a guy named Obadiah Stane, he was using their prisoner Tony Stark to do so, but as in the case with the original comics, their plan backfires when Tony uses his time and his assistant Yinsen to build the first Iron Man suit and fight back against the monsters that poor Tony created (by building weapons at Stark International, he had caused horrible harm to other nations). A potential threat in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the leader of the organization, the Mandarin, as Killian is apparently self proclaimed himself as the Mandarin but another hidden villain was the true Mandarin. This suggests that he could be a villain in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or a future stand-alone film (although there will be no Iron Man 4)."@en . . . . "Iron Man: I Am Iron Man!"@en . . . . .
