Betelgeuse
rdfs:comment
Enemy in Shadow Hearts: From the New World. See also Aldebaran for a cosmic counterpart. Betelgeuse (prn. bee-tle-jooce) was star system XY8S Z GAMMA and the home system of both Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox. The life forms of Betelgeuses are carbon based. The closest red supergiant in which holds two, maybe three planets. Betelgeuse's girls "will knock you off your feet", according to a chant recited by crowds outside the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation Teleport Systems factory on Happi-Werld III. The traditional space livery of the Betelguese trading scouts was green. Not much is known about the After World and very few spirits will talk about it but there is definitely a rule they all adhere to religiously: to never utter the word "Betelgeuse" three times in front of a mirror on the day of a lunar eclipse. Otherwise you might just invoke one of the most evil, obscene and repugnant spirits to have ever existed… Betelgeuse is the frequently named star around which orbit planets featured in science fiction stories. Betelgeuse is based on the character from the same name from the film Beetlejuice, created by Tim Burton and interpreted by Michael Keaton. There is also a star named Betelgeuse, specifically the eighth brightest in the sky and second brightest in the constellation of Orion. In African mythology, this star represents a lion that is keeping its eyes on three zebras (Orions Belt) that the deity Aldeberan failed to kill with his arrow (Orion's sword), yet did not try to retake his arrow because Betelgeuse was watching the zebras, which made Aldeberan sit there to this day, shivering due to the cold nights and suffering from thirst and hunger. Betelgeuse (pronounced Beetlejuice), is the titular antagonist of the 1988 fantasy film, Beetlejuice, and the anti-heroic protagonist of the spin-off animated television series of the same name. He was portrayed by Michael Keaton, who also portrayed Carter Hayes, Chick Hicks and Raymond Sellars. Betelgeuse is a low to mid-ranked gun that provides 22 Attack and 5% Critical. It requires the Guns 3 license to use, and can be bought for 5,400 gil at Mt Bur-Omisace, Jahara, Nalbina Fortress, and Rabanastre. Betelgeuse is the titular antagonist of Beetlejuice. He attempts to marry Lydia Deetz against her will. He is played by Michael Keaton. In Pierre Boulle's original novel La Planète des Singes, Ulysse Mérou lands on the planet Soror, which orbits Betelguese. On Soror, where a majority of the novel takes place, the conditions allow for life just like on Earth. Betelgeuse's mainland is made up of around 78 percent cultivated landscape. As a result, Betelgeuse lost most of the natural cycle and the climate is mostly driven by technology. Betelgeuse is a star in the Milky Way galaxy. Say it three times, and it's showtime. According to the Fourth Doctor, the official papal seat of the Catholic Church was situated in the Betelgeuse system by 3278. (PROSE: Managra) The Terpsivores, a centipede-like race, came from Betelgeuse. (COMIC: Death Disco) According to Ian Chesterton, it was a name of a star visible from Earth. (PROSE: Byzantium!) Professor Chronotis owned a travel guide to it. (PROSE: Shada) In 2230, Betelgeuse was accepted as a member system of the United Federation of Planets. (Last Unicorn RPG module: All Our Yesterdays: The Time Travel Sourcebook) By the mid 23rd century, the Betelgeusians became aware that their sun would soon enter an expansion phase, rendering Betelgeuse II uninhabitable, and the species began an exodus from their homeworld. (TOS novel: Ex Machina)

(TOS novel: Ex Machina) Betelgeuse XIII was home to a major Orion population centre, known in the 23rd century for a cheerfully decadent lifestyle and thriving criminal activity. (Last Unicorn RPG module: Star Trek: The Original Series Core Game Book) Not much is known about the After World and very few spirits will talk about it but there is definitely a rule they all adhere to religiously: to never utter the word "Betelgeuse" three times in front of a mirror on the day of a lunar eclipse. Otherwise you might just invoke one of the most evil, obscene and repugnant spirits to have ever existed… Enemy in Shadow Hearts: From the New World. Betelgeuse is the frequently named star around which orbit planets featured in science fiction stories. Betelgeuse V is the birthplace of Ford Prefect and Zaphod Beeblebrox. Apparantely, since they are both different, Zaphod Beeblebrox's family may have been immigrants. Also Ford Prefect's family might have been native to Betelgeuse V or even the Betelgeuse system. The idea of Zaphod's family having been immigrants does give a explanation of what a Semi-cousin might be, it might be a person from a different family but they share the same regional or national identity so they are some what related conconsidering that their Betelgeuseian idenity makes them in a sense "part of a bigger extended family" So a "semi-cousin" could really just be a term that means ("citizen or national" of Betelgeuse). Betelgeuse VII is where Ford Prefect's father was born, and where a Hrung collapsed on, killing all the people who could speak in the dialect that Ford Prefect's name was spoken in. Therefore, since his own son could not pronounce his own name, Ford Prefect's dad died of shame, and the kids nicknamed him IX (the roman numerals for the number 9), the meaning of IX was 9 words meaning, "boy who did not know what a Hrung was", lith his last name being VIII and his last name meant "or why it (a hrung) should collapse on Betelgeuse Seven". New Betel is not known to be in the vicinity of Betelgeuse. This planet has a cafe in which Zaphod Beeblebrox and Hotblack Desiato practiced really bad songs for Disaster Area. The Betelguese Herald is a news corporation from this system, and it labelled Disaster Area's music as "deafening rubbish." Betelgeuse is a star in the Milky Way galaxy. Say it three times, and it's showtime. Betelgeuse (pronounced Beetlejuice), is the titular antagonist of the 1988 fantasy film, Beetlejuice, and the anti-heroic protagonist of the spin-off animated television series of the same name.
