Two of the Sith, Darth Vindicator and Darth Xul, died during the conflict. Both deaths were indirectly or directly caused by Suvorov Palpatine, the Chairman of the Senate of the Galactic Federation. In 178 ABY, the Tripire was losing badly. That was why the last remaining leader, Darth Messor, decided to accept Suvorov's offer to merge with his new government, the New Dark Empire."@en .
