William Chang Suk Ping is a Chinese art director and costume designer. He is probably best known for his work with the director Wong Kar-Wai and for his huge variety of roles, including production designer, art director, costume designer and editor. He is well known within the industry for being a highly creative, introverted and modest person. He began drawing and designing at age seven and eventually went to film school in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 1980 he got his first job as an art director on the film Love Massacre. It was in the 80's that he met Wong Kar-Wai and began his long relationship of collaboration.
