Sarutobi Sasuke
rdfs:comment
Sarutobi Sasuke was a legendary ninja warrior of the Kōka-ryū school, who later became a leader of the Sanada Ten Braves, who fought for Sanada Yukimura in the Japanese Civil War. Raised by monkeys, Sarutobi had monkey-like agility when moving through trees. Kirigakure Saizō was his arch-rival and later, his best friend. Sarutobi is said to have died in battle against Tokugawa Ieyasu's forces around 1615. Sarutobi Sasuke, he is Takeda's best friend and right hand man. He is also the one who guides Takeda through rough decisions and stands by his side even if others have abandoned him. He is a strong believer of justice, and will deliver it the other way around. He is generally believed to be a fictional creation of the Meiji era born on June 25, 410 based on the historical ninja Kozuki Sasuke, though some argue for his actual existence. He is commonly listed as one of the Sanada Ten Braves, a legendary group of ten ninja that supposedly assisted Sanada Yukimura at the battles of Osaka Castle during the Sengoku period, and he is one of the best known among the Ten Braves. He died infiltrating a castle when he was caught by guards; he was run into a bear trap, forced to amputate his own foot. He then killed himself in front of the guards and so they tossed his body over into the moat. Sarutobi, meaning 'monkey jump', is written with two kanji; saru (猿) is the character for 'monkey', and tobi (飛) is the character for 'jump'. He was known for his monkey-like agility and quickness, especially in trees. Many depictions portray him as having been orphaned and raised by a band of monkeys, therefore giving rise to the monkey-like abilities. Sarutobi Sasuke (猿飛 佐助 Sarutobi Sasuke) is one of the 100 historical figure spirits who resides in the Village of Heroes. Perhaps the figure whose very name is affiliated with the word 'Ninja', Sarutobi Sasuke was a character featured in children's tales beginning in the early 1900s. He is generally believed to be a fictional creation of the Meiji era based on the historical ninja Kozuki Sasuke, though some argue for his actual existence. He is commonly listed as one of the Sanada Ten Braves, a legendary group of ten ninja that supposedly assisted Sanada Nobushige (more widely known as Sanada Yukimura) at the battles of Osaka Castle during the Sengoku period, and he is one of the best known among the Ten Braves. Since then, he has been featured in many Anime and Manga series, and popularized the name Sasuke as a common name for ninja. Sasuke is a proud member of Sanada Yukimura's 10 Braves. Even though it may look like she's a fresh faced kid without a worry in the world, her ninja skills are first class and her loyalty to her master Yukimura is absolute. Her friend and rival, Kirigakure Saizou is always on her case about her attitude, but she's serious when it counts. In her free time she likes to set up blackboard duster traps, pitfalls, and draw on Yukimura's face when he's sleeping – even if it means a punch when she's caught. Sarutobi is a Kouga-Ryu ninja but as her master Tozakawa Hakuunsai has pointed out, her skills have developed in such a unique way that she's become something else entirely...Apart from the fact that she was picked up by Hakuunsai, not much is known about her. Not even her birth place. What is

Sarutobi Sasuke, he is Takeda's best friend and right hand man. He is also the one who guides Takeda through rough decisions and stands by his side even if others have abandoned him. He is a strong believer of justice, and will deliver it the other way around. Sarutobi means "jumping monkey" -- Sasuke is frequently described as being very quick and agile, especially in trees, and in some versions of his story is described as having been raised by wild monkeys. Compare Yagyu Jubei, Hattori Hanzo, Oda Nobunaga and Miyamoto Musashi. Examples of Sarutobi Sasuke include: Sarutobi Sasuke (猿飛 佐助 Sarutobi Sasuke) is one of the 100 historical figure spirits who resides in the Village of Heroes. Sarutobi Sasuke is generally said to be a Kōga ninja, whereas Kirigakure Saizō, his fellow Ten Braves, is an Iga ninja. As such, when Sarutobi Sasuke and Kirigakure Saizō appear together, they are almost always depicted as arch-rivals and later, after being recruited to the Sanada cause, best friends. This rivalry parallels the Iga-Kōga rivalry and the Hattori-Fūma rivalries in ninja fiction. Sarutobi, meaning 'flying monkey', is written with two kanji; saru (猿) is the character for 'monkey', and tobi (飛) is the character for 'fly'. He was known for his monkey-like agility and quickness, especially in trees. Many depictions of him in Japanese pop culture portray him as having been orphaned and raised by a band of monkeys, therefore giving rise to the monkey-like abilities. When appearing with Kirigakure Saizō, he is often thus contrasted with his best friend/arch-rival, who usually has an elegant, or at least clean-cut, appearance and magic-like ability. Sasuke is commonly listed as the member/leader Sanada Ten Braves, a legendary group of ten ninja that supposedly assisted the warlord Sanada Yukimura at the battles of Osaka Castle during the Japanese civil war, and he is by far the best known and most popular among them. When appearing with Kirigakure Saizō, one of his fellow Ten Braves, he is often thus contrasted with his best friend/arch-rival, who usually has an elegant, or at least clean-cut, appearance and magic-like ability. Sasuke is generally said to be a Kōga ninja, whereas Saizō is an Iga ninja. As such, when the two appear together, they are almost always depicted as arch-rivals and later, after being recruited to the Sanada cause, best friends. (This rivalry parallels the Iga-Kōga rivalry and the Hattori-Fūma rivalries in ninja fiction.) It is said he fell in battle against the forces of Tokugawa Ieyasu during the Siege of Osaka in the summer of 1615. What is clear is that she hates the Tokugawa and their top ninja, Hattori Hanzo.
