The unnamed man imprisoned for Grand Larceny was a rogue who was released from Azure City's prison by Hinjo to aid in Battle of Azure City against Xykon's army, in exchange for reducing his sentence by 5 years after they fought back the Hobgoblins. Just prior to the battle, the prisoner was approached by a messenger, who brought him to Daimyo Kubota. Kubota offered the man a payment of 100,000 gp if he killed Hinjo during the battle while making it look like an accident. Planning to use a high save DC, constitution damage poison with a yellow-fletched arrow paired with a few sneak attacks, he attempted to assassinate Hinjo during the battle. Convincing fellow inmate Belkar Bitterleaf to keep an eye out for any soldiers in exchange for 10,000 gp he took aim, only for the Halfling to have a last minute decision change out of fear that Hinjo was the only one who could remove his Greater Mark of Justice and dragged him off the Azure City wall, decapitating him in mid-air. His corpse hit the ground shortly after Belkar, landing on the Hobgoblin soldiers he had began fighting, killing one of them.
