Spock Spock Spock Spock Spock SPOCK Spock Spock Spock Spock Spock Spock Spock
rdfs:comment
Spock appears as an action figure in "The Transporter Malfunction" (S05E20). The action figure is voiced by Leonard Nimoy and talks to Sheldon in his dreams. In Sheldon's first dream, Spock reasons with and convinces Sheldon to play with the vintage mint-in-box 1975 Mego Star Trek Transporter, which is a gift from Penny. Sheldon rapidly wakes up from his dream, opens the box and plays with the toy. But he breaks the toy shortly after and switches it with Leonard's. Spock's mother, Amanda Grayson, was a human schoolteacher from Earth and his father, Sarek, was a respected diplomat. For most of his life, Spock was torn between his emotional human side and the stern discipline of his Vulcan half until his experience with the V'Ger machine-entity in 2271 and his later death and rebirth in 2286 broadened his perspective. As of 2267 he had earned the Vulcanian Scientific Legion of Honor, had been twice decorated by Starfleet Command and held an A7 computer expert classification. S'chn T'gai Spock was a famed half-Vulcan/half-Human Starfleet officer who served the Federation in the 23rd and 24th centuries. Spock's full name was revealed in TOS novel: Ishmael. In TOS episode: "This Side of Paradise", Spock said that his full name was unpronounceable to Humans. Throughout most of the 24th century, he worked in the Federation and in the Romulan Star Empire to bring about the Reunification of Vulcan and Romulus. (TNG episodes: "Unification", "Face of the Enemy", ST - Typhon Pact novels: Rough Beasts of Empire, Plagues of Night) Being only half hobogoblin, Spock is thus able to show emotions in some situations. For example, when he mind melds prisoners without a psychic search warrant, Spock will usually start squinting and provide keen psychological insight whiles the suspect starts to loudly scream just how happy having him dig around through the darkest most personal recesses of their mind makes them feel. The synth band S.P.O.C.K specializes in Science Fiction geekery. The band members usually wear Star Trek uniforms on stage during their concerts, and most songs are built around tropes or characters in Science Fiction. Common themes are Star Trek, Star Wars, alien invasions and generic Science Fiction concepts - that often gets twisted around quite a bit. Named after the Star Trek Character Spock, who is also the Trope Namer for The Spock. -Vulcan Mind Meld: Vulcan are born telepaths. Due to their philosophy and rigorious training Vulcans never spy on the thoughts of other people unless they have an explicit reason for it. During such times they can meld their mind to experience the memories and thoughts of other people. This normally requires physical contact for it to be most effective, but Spock is occasionally shown to do this without it. By giving various suggestions Spock can also influence the minds of people, albeit this process is slow thus can only be used when Spock can concentrate for long periods of time without interruptions Spock is the First Officer aboard the USS Enterprise, commanded by James T. Kirk. He is the one who theorized that the Klingons have breached time and space to leave their universe and go to another. His theory is proven correct when he, along with Kirk, and two away team members beam down to the Planet of the Apes. Which they soon learn that Kor is supplying General Marius and his soldiers with powerful weapons. On one occasion, the Eleventh Doctor recalled memories of his fourth incarnation meeting up with Spock and the command crew of the USS Enterprise to combat a Cyberman invasion of Aprilia III. Like most of the crew of the original USS Enterprise, Spock has become something of a legend in Starfleet history. He was the first Vulcan ever to serve in Starfleet, joining the Academy in 2249 at the age of nineteen. In his final year he served on board the USS Enterprise; he participated in that ships mission to Talos IV which resulted in the planet being placed under quarantine. After graduation Spock continued to serve on board the Enterprise. His time on the vessel totalled some thirty two years, longer than any other officer in the ship's history - indeed, apart from a short retirement to undergo the Kolinahr discipline on Vulcan and a few months spent on the same planet after his death, Spock served on the Enterprise continually throughout his entire Starfleet career. The film, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, was a film about Spock returning from death back to life again. S'chn T'gai Spock was the deuteragonist of Star Trek: The Original Series and of the first six Star Trek motion pictures. He was portrayed by the late Leonard Nimoy in the TV series Star Trek and in the first six films, and by Zachary Quinto (as well as Nimoy) in the 2009 film Star Trek, and in it's sequel Star Trek Into Darkness, which was also this character's final appearance. Spock is played by his supercool amazing intelligent adorable hottie sueauthor... Jess! Not terribly motivated, he served on one and only one starship from the day he left the Space Academy until he retired. As a reward for his unswerving loyalty, he was made an ambassador and immediately exiled to Romulus. He had pointy ears, eaten animal flesh (and enjoyed it!), and didn't play well with others --especially cranky ship's surgeons. Some felt he was the best first officer in the Fleet, even though he had the charisma of a clam and was only rarely involved in ship's management. Spock was a Vulcan Male lieutenant commander in the Alliance Fleet who worked as chief science officer aboard the Defiant-class frigate Defiant. When the Galactic Empire began occupying his homeworld in 0 ABY, he joined the Alliance to Restore the Republic fleet and convinced the Alliance Leadership to launch an attack to regain the planet. He led the Alliance Fleet blockade of the planet, and, due to his preformance in the battle, was promoted to lieutenant commander and became the chief science officer onboard the Defiant-class frigate Defiant. Spock, (aka Mr. Spock) is a main character in the original Star Trek TV series, and one of the most enduring characters from American 1960s television. He is the only alien in the permanent cast: half-Vulcan, half-Human, and serves as the science officer and executive officer of the U.S.S. Enterprise, under Captain James T. Kirk. Tier: 9-C in melee. Captain James Cutter thought that Spock and her pregnancy was a sign of good luck. Nurse Hershey had a feeling that Spock intended to give birth in her bed. Spock, whose full name was considered unpronounceable to humans, was one of the most famous Starfleet officers of all time. He became well-known for serving as first officer and chief science officer under Captain James T. Kirk on the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701). Later in life, after retiring from Starfleet, he became a Federation ambassador, but disappeared in 2387, sent back in time in the same incident that caused the creation of the alternate reality. (Star Trek: The Original Series, including films; TNG: "Unification I", "Unification II"; Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness) Spock is a human-Vulcan hybrid from Star Trek with Stereotypically pointed ears. Spock is second in command of the Starship Enterprise under James T. Kirk. fundy Christians may not like Spock because he thinks logically (including that he believes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few). Conservapedia refers to him as a "halfbreed". Spock, also known as the Antichrist, was a Vulcan male who was possibly the most evil thing to come out of Star Trek. His pointy ears were a symbol of his deviltude. Being a Vulcan, Spock was able to use logic to destroy the entire Star Wars universe by pointing out all of its inconsistencies and fallacies. The galaxy was finally saved from the menace of Spock when God created a clone of him, Spock Katarn, who was just as powerful except that his beard, made from God's own, gave him the power of re-inKatarnation and allowed him to overpower the original Spock and defeat him. Despite being half-Human, Spock is a dedicated follower of the Surakian philosophy of repressing emotions and valuing objectiveness and logic. His scientific knowledge and high intellect, his mastery of Vulcan telepathic techniques and his level-headed attitude have all helped to establish him as an anchor of reason and a valuable figure serving on Human vessels. At the same time his loyalty to duty have made him an exemplary officer, who acted as Kirk's right hand on numerous missions concerning interstellar exploration and cautious diplomacy.

Tier: 9-C in melee. Key: Original | Reboot Spock is on a boat! Spock is a character in the fictional Star Trek, media franchise. First portrayed by Leonard Nimoy in the original Star Trek series, Spock also appears in the animated Star Trek series, two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, seven of the Star Trek feature films, and numerous Star Trek books, comics, and video games. In the 2009 film Star Trek, Nimoy reprised his role alongside Zachary Quinto, who played a younger alternate-timeline version of the character. Spock subsequently participated in Admiral Kirk's journey to 20th Century Earth to pick up a pair of humpbacked whales. Once the Enterprise crew returned to Starfleet he was appointed as science and executive officer of the Enterprise-A, a post which he continued to fill for a further eight years. In 2293 Spock's father, Sarek, made peace overtures to the Klingon Empire after the Praxis disaster. Spock volunteered the Enterprise to take part in the talks; when the Klingon Chancellor was assassinated by two Enterprise crewmembers, Spock uncovered a conspiracy of Starfleet and Klingon personnel to sabotage the peace conference. Spock rescued Kirk from the surface of the Rura Pente asteroid in time to go to Khitomer and save the peace conference. After his eventual retirement from Starfleet, Spock became a Federation ambassador. In 2368 it was feared that he had defected to Romulus, but in fact he was working undercover on that planet in order to promote reunification between the Vulcans and Romulans. He remains there at present. Being only half hobogoblin, Spock is thus able to show emotions in some situations. For example, when he mind melds prisoners without a psychic search warrant, Spock will usually start squinting and provide keen psychological insight whiles the suspect starts to loudly scream just how happy having him dig around through the darkest most personal recesses of their mind makes them feel. Spock is played by his supercool amazing intelligent adorable hottie sueauthor... Jess! Spock is the First Officer aboard the USS Enterprise, commanded by James T. -Vulcan Mind Meld: Vulcan are born telepaths. Like the picture says, he knew it from a young age. Spock ist ein Vulkanier im 23. Jahrhunderts eines Paralleluniverums. Er ist Wissenschafts- und Erster Offizier des Raumschiffs USS Enterprise, dem Flaggschiff einer Vereinigten Föderation der Planeten. 2387 bzw. On one occasion, the Eleventh Doctor recalled memories of his fourth incarnation meeting up with Spock and the command crew of the USS Enterprise to combat a Cyberman invasion of Aprilia III. (Star Trek: The Original Series, including films; TNG: "Unification I", "Unification II"; Star Trek, Star Trek Into Darkness) In 2381 he revealed he was given the katra of his mirror universe counterpart. Spock was also a master of the heretical hand sign, which meant "Live long and prosper" to other Vulcans/devils but translated to "Kriff off" in Basic. In addition, he was responsible for much of the evilness of the Star Trek fandom, as he convinced them using logic that Han Solo was their Antichrist rather than him. The galaxy was finally saved from the menace of Spock when God created a clone of him, Spock Katarn, who was just as powerful except that his beard, made from God's own, gave him the power of re-inKatarnation and allowed him to overpower the original Spock and defeat him. Yet another clone of Spock, created by Darth Abrams, exists as the Sith Lord Darth Sylar. Kirk. His personal struggle between the Vulcan logical self and his human emotional self is the centerpiece of the character and created some evocative drama. He was originally portrayed by actor Leonard Nimoy (except for brief scenes of a much younger Spock in two later movies) and will be portrayed by both Zachary Quinto and Nimoy in the upcoming film Star Trek. Spock appears in Gene Roddenberry's 1964 pitch for Star Trek, where he is described as "probably half Martian, he has a slightly reddish complexion and semi-pointed ears". Writer Samuel A. Peeples told Roddenberry this made Spock too alien, and suggested that "he should at least be half-human and have the problems of both sides". In the 1968 nonfiction book, The Making of Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry denied that he was inspired by Dr. Benjamin Spock, the renowned child psychologist. He claimed that he was merely looking for an alien sounding name and had not heard of Dr. Spock until after he had chosen the name. By the first aired episode, Spock had become greenish/yellow, and was instead from the planet Vulcan. Leonard Nimoy was cast as Roddenberry saw his guest appearance in The Lieutenant, which he had created and sold as a pilot. Had Nimoy turned down the role, Roddenberry would have approached Martin Landau. The film, Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, was a film about Spock returning from death back to life again. Spock is a human-Vulcan hybrid from Star Trek with Stereotypically pointed ears. Spock is second in command of the Starship Enterprise under James T. Kirk. fundy Christians may not like Spock because he thinks logically (including that he believes the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few). Conservapedia refers to him as a "halfbreed". As a child, Spock had a pet sehlat, which is a cuddly Vulcan bear-like animal with claws and fangs. His older half-brother, Sybok, who was ostracized from Vulcan because he rejected the way of pure logic, was killed in 2292 after battling an alien entity at the galaxy's center that claimed to be 'God.' At age seven, Spock was telepathically bonded with a young Vulcan girl named T'Pring. The telepathic touch would draw the two together when the time was right after both came of age: once every 7 years all Vulcan males experiences pon farr, a powerful Vulcan mating drive which demands that they mate or die. In 2267, however, T'Pring chose Stonn, a Vulcan, over Spock, and the Vulcan returned to the U.S.S. Enterprise unwed. He did eventually marry in a ceremony attended by Lt. Jean-Luc Picard. Because the young Vulcan chose to join Starfleet, he and Sarek opened an 18-year rift over Sarek's hope his son would attend the Vulcan Science Academy. Spock was the first Vulcan to enlist in the Federation Starfleet, serving aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise under Captain Christopher Pike as a lieutenant, and later for James T. Kirk. After the conclusion of the U.S.S. Enterprise's five-year mission, Spock retired from Starfleet and returned to Vulcan to pursue the emotion-purging of the kohlinar discipline from the Vulcan Masters. Although he completed the training, Spock failed to achieve kohlinar because his emotions were stirred by the V'Ger entity in 2271. He then reentered Starfleet and was eventually promoted to U.S.S. Enterprise captain when that ship was assigned as a training vessel at Starfleet Academy. Spock sacrificed himself in 2285 to repair plasma conduits that allowed the U.S.S. Enterprise and its crew to escape from the detonation of the Genesis Device by Khan Noonien Singh; his radiation-wracked body was consigned to space but landed on the newly formed Genesis Planet and began regeneration. Prior to his death, Spock had mind-melded with McCoy to transfer his katra, apparently intending for his longtime friend and sparring partner to return it to Vulcan and perhaps be fully regenerated in the fal-tor-pan or refusion process, conducted for the first time in generations. In later years, Spock's work became more diplomatic than scientific, initially remaining a part of Starfleet. In 2293, he served as Federation special envoy to the Klingon government, paving the way for the Khitomer peace accords with Chancellor Azetbur. That peace came about with great difficulty and personal turmoil for Spock, in that a conspiracy to sabotage the talks through the assassination of Azetbur's father, Chancellor Gorkon, and the subsequent framing of Kirk and McCoy, involved his own Vulcan protégé, Lt. Valeris. After decades as a civilian, in 2368, Spock secretly traveled to Romulus on a personal mission to further the cause of Romulan/Vulcan reunification — a mission which shook up the Federation so that Captain Jean-Luc Picard was sent undercover to determine his motives. On the same trip he was saddened to hear of the death of his father, Sarek, but Picard's presence allowed Spock a final last solace thanks to an earlier Picard-Sarek mind meld. Spock remained to work with the Romulan underground and in 2369, helped arrange the defection of Romulan vice-proconsul M'Ret to the Federation to pioneer an escape route for dissidents. Spock carried a lifelong interest in art, music, literature and poetry from many worlds, especially Terran, and played both tri-dimensional chess as well as the Vulcan lute or harp and a keyboard harpsichord. Captain James Cutter thought that Spock and her pregnancy was a sign of good luck. Nurse Hershey had a feeling that Spock intended to give birth in her bed. In the early 1970s, Fox Mulder once dressed up as Mr. Spock for Halloween. (TXF: "Dreamland II") In February 1997, Mike Millar made fun of Fox Mulder's search for aliens by telling him he would report back if he found "Dr. Spock's phaser." (TXF: "Tempus Fugit") In May 2001, Larry Rose referred to Ara Frumin as Mr. Spock. (TLG: "The Lying Game") Not terribly motivated, he served on one and only one starship from the day he left the Space Academy until he retired. In the mid-23rd century, Spock became known as the best first officer in Starfleet while diligently serving under Captain James T. Kirk's command for over 30 years. However, by the end of the century, he was a starship commander in his own right, and quickly turned to following in his father, Sarek's, footsteps—first, as a diplomat and special envoy, and later, as an ambassador. Throughout most of the 24th century, he worked in the Federation and in the Romulan Star Empire to bring about the Reunification of Vulcan and Romulus. (TNG episodes: "Unification", "Face of the Enemy", ST - Typhon Pact novels: Rough Beasts of Empire, Plagues of Night) Spock is a retired moderator who served from March 2009 through September 2009. Spock ist Vulkanier und Leitender Wissenschaftsoffizier auf der USS ENTERPRISE / NCC-1701. Siehe hierzu: --> Spock Kategorie:USS ENTERPRISE / NCC-1701: Personal Kategorie:Vulkanier Despite being half-Human, Spock is a dedicated follower of the Surakian philosophy of repressing emotions and valuing objectiveness and logic. In his later years he became a full-time ambassador and engaged in a quest for peaceful reunification of the Vulcan and Romulan societies. While attempting to prevent Romulus' destruction in 2387, Spock was caught in a freak spatial anomaly that brought him to the year of 2258 of an alternative universe. In Sheldon's next dream, Spock says he's very disappointed in Sheldon and bids Sheldon to do the right thing. When Sheldon refuses, he is attacked by a Gorn in the dream. Sheldon later tries to switch back the toys, but cannot bring himself to do it. When Penny has persuaded Leonard to open his toy and Leonard finds out it is broken, Sheldon, after much difficulty, admits he has broken and switched his own toy with Leonard's. Then he hands over the switched toy back to Leonard. In "The Codpiece Topology", the guys return to The Renaissance Fair with Sheldon portraying a Vulcan Star Fleet officer (probably Spock) from a landing party observing a planet that resembled middle-ages Earth which also included strange modernistic anomalies which Sheldon had noted on their first visit. In "The Thespian Catalyst", Sheldon is taking acting lessons from Penny and they are performing a short skit based upon a story Sheldon wrote as a child. Penny portrayed Mr. Spock. Spock is the Star Trek character that Sheldon most identifies with since he feels they are both intelligent, logical and unemotional. Also, when Sheldon describes their group as a Star Trek landing party, he is Spock, Leonard is Kirk, Howard is Scotty and Raj is the guy in the red shirt that is killed or is Lt. Uhura. Leonard Nimoy, Spock's original voice, died from complications from COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) on February 27, 2015. Spock is a character in the fictional Star Trek media franchise.
