Dim
(DS9: )
In 2024, while Benjamin Sisko and Julian Bashir were stranded in the past, they were processed into the San Francisco Sanctuary District by Lee who noted that though their paperwork labeled them as dims they didn't strike her as such. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I", "Past Tense, Part II")
Does Dim-eye remember what SkyClan was meant to be? The proud cats who once thrived in lush territory under the warrior code? Does she remember that one "prophecy"? Legend tells of magnificent heroes who would plunge into battle, not noticing the countless wounds and cuts they gained because it was all for the greater good. The cats who did it for destiny. Dim-eye got the blame. Dim-eye knows she got the blame, blame from the same clan who would later scream in terror for the exact reasons Dim-eye said they would. Because Dim-eye is dim.
Dim is Sera's Guardian character.
DIM is the 4th album by The GazettE. It was released on July 15th, 2009.
Dim the Dimension Warper is a pirate with a bounty of 325,000,000 beri mainly due to enviormental damaged caused by the Warp Warp No Mi as Dim deforms entire islands and almost everything else on it. The only reason for this is because Dim is a big fan of famous artist Salvador Dali.

(DS9: "Past Tense, Part I", "Past Tense, Part II") As Dr. Bashir noted with disgust, many of the dims in Sanctuary District A had psychological ailments which were easily treatable or controllable even with medicines available in the 2020s, yet because the dims were destitute, they simply could not afford these vital treatments. He pointed out that one derelict suffering from untreated schizophrenia could easily be living a fully functional and productive life, if society outside the Sanctuary District simply cared enough about providing him with basic medical care, or the employment needed to obtain it himself. As a possible source for its use, the same term was used much earlier in time, in the novel A Clockwork Orange as the nickname for the slow-witted member of Alex deLarge's gang of four "droogs" in the Anthony Burgess novel, with Alex being portrayed by Malcolm McDowell (Star Trek Generations's Tolian Soran) in the 1971 movie version.

Destiny. Does one merely go along with it? Does it just happen to you-something you can expect as simply as the sun rising tomorrow or as the next breath you take? Does it truly take skill, honor, willingness to have a destiny? If it does, Dim-eye already failed. Or do you fulfill it? Do you put effort into being what others expect and want you to be-do you try? And if you can try, isn't there a chance at failure? Dim-eye knows not of what she failed at, because no one saw any destiny for her until it was too late. They say grief can motivate you. That your past mistakes will help you do better, that the lost friends dropping silently to the ground, are a constant reminder that some ordinary cat should change the world for the better. A father, killed protecting his kit. A medicine cat and best friend, who bled to death to treat the sickness of others. A kit who drowned because his mother had all too much faith in walking over thin ice. Dim-eye got the blame. Dim-eye knows she got the blame, blame from the same clan who would later scream in terror for the exact reasons Dim-eye said they would. Back when Dim-eye was Dim-eye no one expected it. Not the disaster-no, not either of them. Not being singled out and forced to leave, not even that Dim-eye herself would become deputy. Hah. A one-eyed, fuzzy-minded, depressed deputy, only appointed for being strong in appearance. The second disaster struck then. The first signs, practically invisible, Dim-eye, left with only StarClan to tell her of the imposing future. But no, there was worse, Dim-eye could have been Dimstar. No such chance, but maybe we would be even worse off if that had happened. StarClan themselves were more terrifying than Dim-eye's foolishness could have ever been. So they could see the future. They knew of enmities, conflict against The Dark Forest and the sinners and criminals within it buried under sediments of forgotten history. War could happen any time, it was already everywhere you turn. The war to end all wars. Boom. Some other guy out their just needed a destiny. And with something this big, StarClan also needed someone to test it on. Death to an innocent to save many. Never thought maybe it wouldn't work. Dim-eye doesn't remember a thing. Dim-eye is a fake, in the eyes of StarClan. Dim-eye is doubt. Because Dim-eye is dim.
