"The barbarians were hired by Unalaq to attack the Northern Water Tribe in an attempt to draw Tonraq into a situation that would cost him the position of heir to the chiefdom. Unalaq informed them that in the event they needed a safe hideout, they could escape to the sacred spirit forest at the North Pole. The barbarians raided the Northern Water Tribe in 151 AG while General Tonraq and his troops were absent. Despite having achieved slight success initially, the barbarians eventually found themselves overwhelmed when Tonraq commanded a counterattack with his troops. The remaining barbarians promptly retreated into the harsh tundra of the North Pole, but were pursued by Tonraq's men. Eventually, the raiders gathered at a sacred forest under the belief that they would not be attacked on sacred grounds, as Unalaq had told them. However, they had been betrayed, as Unalaq knew that his brother would attack them nonetheless. Tonraq commanded his men to attack with such ferocity that the entire forest was destroyed. All surviving barbarians were captured by the Water Tribe military."@en . . . . . . . . . . "Mercenaries"@en . . . . "The ancient Greeks considered other non-Greeks as Barbarians. "When Barbarians spawn, any Customers in the area will shout out \"Barbarians!\" and start running away to the edges of the map. Usually in groups of 1 to 5, they will spawn on either end of the path outside your shoppe and then rush towards your door. Once inside, they will quickly destroy furniture in the shop and can target any random piece, sometimes going all the way to one side of the shoppe just to rush to the other side after destroying a piece of furniture. Luckily it doesn't take more than a few sword swings, or a single well aimed spell to dispatch a Barbarian. They can be effectively killed before reaching your store out in the path if you are quick enough to get outside once your customers become alerted. Once all furniture has been destroyed, or the player attacks a Barbarian, the remaining Barbarians will attack the player. If the player loses all of their health they will enter a stunned state for a few seconds, and then recover with a bit of health. After dealing a significant amount of damage in a single playthrough (1000 dmg) to barbarians during raids, you will incite the wrath of the Barbarian's leader, Barbingantua! Bigger, stronger, and with much more health than a normal Barbarian, Barbingantua is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Every challenge needs it's reward, however, and this big baddie is no exception. Killing this particular Barbarian will give you about a 30% chance to receive the Sword of Barbingantua."@en . . . . . .
