. . . . . "The gods, along with the Titans, are supreme mythical beings that can create and control all kinds of magic and power. In Greek mythology, the gods, also called the Olympians (Δωδεκάθεον), were the principal gods of the Greek pantheon, residing atop Mount Olympus, a place forbidden for any mortal to travel unless given direct authorization to do so by the gods themselves. The 6 original Olympians were Hades, Hestia, Poseidon, Demeter, Hera, and Zeus. Later on there were 12 true Olympians, which included: Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Dionysus and Hestia, who later gave up her throne for Dionysus. Hades was not included because he resided in his home of the Underworld, rarely speaking with any of the other gods. The 12 mighty Olympians gained their supremacy in the world after Zeus led his siblings to victory in the war with the Titans. The six original Olympians were the children of Cronos and Rhea (Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, Demeter, Hestia, and Hades). Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, the Charites, Hercules, Dionysus, the Muses, Hebe, and Persephone were children of Zeus and Aphrodite was born of sea foam from Ouranos's remains were all later recognized as Olympians. Helios, Eos, and Selene are other important Olympians and goddesses which are sometimes included in a group of twelve. Greeks of good age knew of poetry about the war between the Gods and Titans. The dominant one, and the only one that had survived was in the Theogony attributed to Hesiod . A lost epic, Titanomachia - attributed to the legendary blind Thracian bard Thamyris-was not mentioned in passing in an essay 'Music on Music' that was once attributed to Plutarch."@en . . . . . Praying while not at an altar will give you temporary hex protection and also uncurse any equipped items, and will also let you receive god gifts if you have enough favor. Being on good terms with your god can also net you bonuses to your abilities, skills, and special abilities. The types of benefits you gain from worship are different for each god. There are altars to all of the gods in the game located at the Truce Ground, this is the easiest way to gain a religion. Each god can be offered corpses or an item specific to that god to either claim an altar or raise your relationship with your god. Most corpses do almost nothing for raising relationship, but a high value corpse, or the specific item produces a message from your god as he/she/it takes the item. You can also forcibly take over another god's altar, but this requires offering items at that altar. You can potentially fail to convert the altar (usually if you attempt to do it with terrible offerings like burnt/rotten food or corpses; preferred items almost never, fail). Each time you fail, the other god will hit you with a negative effect, which could range from a long lasting hex to a negative mutation. "One fundamental difference between mortals and gods is when a god ascends, they forfeit any right to any form of an afterlife. A god's person will utterly cease to exist upon death. The death of a god causes the god's energy to be dispersed on the world they perished on. What remains of the god's body will turn to stone. The fallen god's energy can be harnessed by other gods to empower themselves further. There are or have been at least twenty gods in Gielinor in one time or another, although many of them are unknown. This planet has attracted so many gods due to its perfection and the presence of Elder Artefacts (more than half of them are on Gielinor). The gods of Gielinor are most notable for their participation in the God Wars of the Third Age, a major conflict that nearly destroyed the entire world, and their daily role in the Prayer skill, which enables them to transfer small portions of their power temporarily to their worshippers for a variety of potent effects. Ages past, during and prior to the time of the Third Age, the RuneScape deities were capable of interacting freely upon Gielinor, which caused such unimaginable chaos that Guthix set his Edicts to prevent the gods from ever directly interfering in the world again, and preventing any other gods from entering. The gods could only influence events indirectly through their remaining followers, until the death of Guthix and subsequent shattering of the edicts. At this time the gods began to return to Gielinor and directly compete against each other for divine energy, while gathering followers to their causes. Mortals can ascend to godhood through use of the Elder Artefacts. One way is to use an Elder Artefact to kill a god, as Guthix did to Skagaroth with the Elder Sword, and Zamorak to Zaros with the Staff of Armadyl, which allows the mortal to absorb the power of the slain god and ascend themselves. The other way is to spend enough time around the Artefacts, which leak divine energy that cause ascension, as is believed to have happened with Saradomin and Armadyl. It was discovered in Fate of the Gods, that there is a third way; Zaros and Seren were created as fully fledged gods by the Elder God, Mah. However this case seems to be unique, as Zaros stated that the Elder Gods created planets, but generally did not consciously create life."@en . . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Gods"@ja . In his ending (Konquest and Arcade Ladder), Taven becomes Protector God of Edenia, taking Argus' place, while he becomes a Elder God. Unlike the Elder Gods, regular Gods seem to be partial to interfering in the realms' destinies' regularly, considering the aforementioned positions and actions of the known Gods above. Being less powerful than Elder Gods, normal gods have limitations. Gods are not allowed to participate in mortal affairs unless in mortal form. Thus, for a god to participate in Mortal Kombat, they are required to occupy a human form. In addition, gods cannot interfere in the affairs of other realms as they not only hold any rule in a foreign domain, but they also risk losing any powers they had in their native realm, but they recover them by returning to their own realm. According to Fujin MKA Bio, Raiden, after he sacrificed himself in his mortal form in Outworld, his energies should have dispersed and then reformed in Earthrealm. His spirit would have been reborn, having no memories of the past. He would have become a new god of thunder, neither good nor evil. It is unclear if the other gods can do this. Gods exist in potentia in numbers uncountable, but the moment an event of any note occurs — say, two snails happening to cross at a single point — a god becomes tied to it and begins to manifest in the physical world. Most gods remain small and unknown, but a very few come to the notice of humanity, whose belief then shapes and strengthens them until they gather enough power to join the Disc's vast, unwieldy pantheon. Gods on the Discworld exist as long as people believe in them and their power grows as their followers increase. This is a philosophy echoing the real-world politics of the power of religion and is most detailed in the novel Small Gods. If people should cease believing in a particular god (say, if the religion becomes more important than faith) the god begins to fade and, eventually, will "die", becoming little more than a faded wispy echo. Discworld demons are also considered gods, more or less; after all, "believers" does not necessarily mean "worshippers." A thousand people cursing you as an evil djinn has the same effect as a thousand people singing psalms in your honour (in fact, it's probably preferable - fear tends to be a rather more powerful motivator than love). A third category of godlike being on the disc is the "anthropomorphic personification"; a sentient manifestation of a worldly process, such as Death, Time or Chaos whose aspects, though not necessarily powers, are shaped by belief. Beings such as The Old High Ones, the creatures from the Dungeon Dimensions and the Auditors of Reality appear to exist without, and in some cases, despite, the power of human belief. On the Disc, the power of belief blurs the line between godhood and mortality. Many very human characters, such as Mort, Susan Sto Helit, Lobsang Ludd, Jeremy Clockson, Tiffany Aching, and Pteppic have permanently or momentarily assumed the roles of gods, or at least of anthropomorphic personifications. Tooth Fairies and the History Monks are groups of humans who play godlike roles. The total number of gods on the Disc is effectively infinite. Of those, the number powerful enough to fully manifest is unknown, but it is certainly enormous. "The "classical" white-wings-and-angelic-choirs gods reside in Heaven, a spirit realm dimension above the clouds which is inaccessible to mortals and monsters. Here the higher divinities dwell in vast palaces, while the "lesser divinities", such as angels and valkyries, live in castle towns serving their patron deity. These are the gods worshiped by the Order, with the Chief God exalted highest among them. Aside from Heaven, some gods occupy their own relevant area of influence, e.g. Poseidon under the sea, or the Fallen God in her own dimension of absolute depravity, Pandemonium. Where Ares and Eros make their lairs is not clear. Each of the gods have their own interests, and not all follow the ultra-anti-monster policy set by the Chief God. The Fallen God and Poseidon are in open rebellion as monsterized beings themselves, and while Ares and Eros both nominally toe the party line, they both grant boons to humans and monsters who adhere to their teachings. Exactly where the cat-goddess Bastet sits in the celestial sphere isn't clear, but she has some human adherents as well as the affection of many monster girls. The divinities are distinguished by having "vastly more power than the average human or monster" , but humans (and monsters) still sometimes end up worshiping things that actually aren't gods, even though they have real ones to pick from. The nation of Zipangu seems especially prone to this heresy, with ryu and inari cults and their respective shirohebi and kitsune-tsuki attendants. Which is not to say other regions don't commit similar errors; both snake cultism and the Elemental Faith consider certain powerful (but ultimately non-divine) creatures to be gods . The one (formerly) mortal creature that actually has enough power and metaphysical clout to potentially be considered on the same level as the higher divinities - the Demon Lord - apparently isn't worshiped by anyone. Either the Fallen God or the non-theistic Sabbath serve instead for most monster girls' religious needs. The mutability of the gods in the Monster Girl Encyclopedia world is an open question. At the very least they can be monsterized or prove conspicuous by their absence, but actual clear-cut births or deaths remain shrouded in mystery ."@en . Ages past, during and prior to the time of the Third Age, the Gielinor deities were capable of interacting freely upon Gielinor, which caused such unimaginable chaos that Guthix set his Edicts to prevent the gods from ever directly interfering in the world again, and preventing any other gods from entering. However this case seems to be unique, as Zaros stated that the Elder Gods created planets, but generally did not consciously create life."@en . . The most powerful of these are the god Aeryc and the goddess Aeryon. Aeryc is the god of the moon. He is the primary deity worshiped in Sacoridia. His symbol is the crescent moon, and it is common for the followers of Aeryc to make the sign of the crescent moon to ward off evil. Aeryon is the goddess of the sun. She is the female counterpart of Aeryc, and is the primary deity worshiped in Rhovanny. Her symbol is the sun, or sometimes just a symple circle. Westrion is the god of death. Called the Birdman, for he has the body of a man, the head of a raptor. Looks very similar to the Egyptian god Horus. Westrion guides the souls of the dead to the heavens. THe dying say that they hear the wing beats of Westrion. Salvistar is the mount of Westrion. He is the harbinger of strife, battle, and death. Also called Eolian, the shaper of wind. Taking the form of a magnificant black stallion, he is the patron of the Green Rider horses. The horses he favors are special in a way that defies definition. When Karigan is faded out she can see him. Once, in a time of great need, Karigan rode on his back as the Avatar of Westrion. Though it was Westrion's will that she not remember that experience. Nia is the goddess of rivers. There is a fountain and a small temple dedicated to her in Rivertown, on the Grandgent river. Belasser is the smith god. He makes the armor for all the gods and goddesses. The fire of the stars themselves fuel his furnace. Marin is known as the Mother of all Nature in some island cultures. Her popularity is greatest in the Northern Sea Archipelago. Inlanders regard her more as a sea-witch that brings luck to gardeners and helps keep nature in balance with itself."@en . . . Prior to and during the Third Age, the Gods could enter mortal realms and freely interact with their inhabitants, and conflict soon followed. The God Wars were a violent and tumultuous time, seeing the enslavement and death of billions of mortal creatures, and the building and razing of great empires. The Wars continued until Guthix banished the Gods from the mortal plane with the Edicts of Guthix, ensuring they could not take direct action in mortal affairs. As of the current age of Gielinor, Saradomin and Zamorak are widely worshiped by many–chiefly humans–with Saradomin having by far the largest organized religion. Worship of Seren predominates among the isolationist Elves, and is thus mostly unknown to humans. With the rediscovery of the God Wars Dungeon deep in the wilderness, worship of Bandos and Armadyl is once again taking root in human kingdoms, albeit at a very slow rate. The only known organized following of Armadyl in existence are the Guardians of Armadyl, deep in the Temple of Ikov. Bandos worship exists predominately among Goblins, where he is known as the 'Big High War God.' Worship of Zaros is all but forgotten. Many who still know of him fear to speak his name, leading to the appellation 'The Empty Lord.' Only those who have discovered the long-buried secrets of the ancient city of Senntisten east of Varrock know better, and can effectively use his remaining relics to aid themselves in combat."@en . . . . "As far as I know about the truth of this world, the teachings of The Order seem to include a lot of falsehoods. From here on, I'm going to introduce a story that goes to the heart of this world.
First off, it's true that the chief god created the world and humans. But the demon lord and the monsters were included as part of the “world” that the chief god created. Saying that the demon lord is a being who emerged from the darkness is a huge lie on the part of the gods and The Order. Monsters are, in essence, beings that are higher on the food chain than humans. They're living creatures the chief god created so that it could adjust the number of humans. The demon lord who The Order insists is wicked, was created as a control device so that the gods could control the monsters. As in the present, the demon lord's demonic energy has always been linked with all monsters. By giving the demon lord directives, the chief god is able to indirectly control the monsters. Whenever civilization flourishes, and humans increase too much in number, it turns the monsters vicious as in the age of the former demon lord, killing large amounts of humans, thereby thinning their numbers. And then, when humans start to die out, this time the monsters increase too much in number, so this time it gives humans incredible power, creating “heroes,” and sending them to slay the demon lord. After the demon lord is slain, the monsters kill each other to decide the next demon lord, and until a demon lord is decided, their number keeps decreasing on its own. And then, when humans reach prosperity once again, and begin increasing in number, a new demon lord is born as a control device from amongst the monsters.

And then, the entire process repeats itself. This is the world's system. The system was running perfectly until a certain succubus became demon lord and caused the system to start malfunctioning. The demon lord used her demonic power which is linked to all monsters to start overwriting the traits instilled in the monsters from the time when God created them: “Monsters are beings that are higher existences than humans, and monsters are beings that live by eating humans.”

Naturally, the chief god was furious. She tried to eliminate the demon lord. She gave the power to slay the demon lord to a hero according to the system at the time, but since the hero betrayed the chief god and went on the side of the demon lord, the attempt at eliminating the demon lord ended in failure. The strongest of the monsters, the demon lord, and the strongest of humanity, the hero, joined hands to create a new world together. The demon lord who is a succubus, and the hero who was made an incubus by their hands, can increase each other's power infinitely by continuously having sex due to their nature. Their power has already reached the level of a god, and not even the chief god was able to destroy them. The chief god was gravely wounded in the battle, and as of the present, she can't move freely, so she's manipulating humans into doing her bidding through the church, giving many humans the power of a “hero,” and frequently sending extermination squads at the demon lord.

So all that is the truth of this world. It's already a myth level story. It doesn't feel real to me either. If The Order knew I had written something like this, I bet I'd probably be executed immediately. Whether or not this nonsense of mine is to be believed is up to you who have taken the book in hand.
On the same occasion, I was able to ask the demon lord herself about her future vision for this world that she's trying to change, so I'll summarize it later on.

For those of you who wonder whether this story is true, the demon lord and hero are both alive and well. Go visit the demon realm and ask them directly yourself. That is, if you're confident that you won't get caught by monsters along the way."@en . "Platformer"@en .
