The Three Little Pigs are the noted house-builders of fairy tale fame, who have frequently appeared on Sesame Street opposite their nemesis the Big Bad Wolf, most notably in Sesame Street News Flash segments. They are not to be confused with the Five Little Piggies, the quintet of toe counting fame who live elsewhere in the forest; like their fellow porkers, however, the Three Little Pigs have on occasion said "wee wee wee" all the way home. Each of the pigs occupy a house hanging from the ceiling. The first pig occupies a house of straw and simply rolls across the floor. The second pig lives in a wooden house and leaps instead of simply rolling. The last pig lives in a brick house and also leaps across the room, but leaps higher and faster. When defeated, they leave behind one of the six Golden Coins. Three pigs set out to build their house, when suddenly a wolf attempts to break-in. The Three Little Pigs of fable are three brothers: Colin, Dun, and Posey. They hold a particular grudge against Bigby Wolf, and they are part of the reason that bigby is banished from ever entering the Farm. After they died they needed replacements so three giants were transformed into pigs: Johnny, Lonny and Donny. The Three Little Pigs is a Puppet show produced by Snapdragon Puppets. The characters from the show are Stanley, Oliver, Frank and Walter. The Three Little Pigs are the builders of fairytale land. Performer(s) Appeared in The Three Little Pigs are a group of anthropomorphic pigs originally created for the fairy tale of the same name. They are a trio of siblings, consisting of two lazy and foolish pigs and one smart and sensible pig. In the original story, the first two pigs build their houses out of straw and sticks respectively, only to have them blown down by the Big Bad Wolf. However, the smartest pig builds his house out of bricks, and the wolf fails to blow down his house. The story of the Three Little Pigs has been adapted many times, with the most famous adaptation being the 1933 Silly Symphonies short produced by Walt Disney Animation, in which the two foolish pigs were named Fiddler and Fifer Pig while their responsible brother was named Practical Pig. Disney's versions of the Pigs would star in three less successful follow-up shorts as well as in episodes of Disney's House of Mouse, but arguably had a more illustrious career in comics, where they co-starred with the Big Bad Wolf's good-natured son, Li'l Bad Wolf. Previous Episode | Next Episode In this ALF Tales episode, ALF and his friends retell the story of the Three Little Pigs. "The Three Little Pigs" is a fairy tale of English origin. It's author is unknown, but its first known printing was in 1843. Practical Pig, Fiddler Pig and Fifer Pig are three brothers who build their own houses with bricks, sticks and straw respectively. All three of them play a different kind of musical instrument – Fifer Pig "toots his flute, doesn't give a hoot and plays around all day," Fiddler Pig "with a hey diddle diddle, plays on his fiddle and dances all kinds of jigs" and Practical Pig plays the piano. Fifer and Fiddler build their straw and stick houses with much ease and have fun all day. Practical, on the other hand, "has no chance to sing and dance for work and play don't mix," focusing on building his strong brick house, but his two brothers poke fun at him. An angry Practical warns them "You can play and laugh and fiddle. Don't think you can make me sore. I'll be safe and you'll be sorry when the Wolf comes through your door!" Fifer and Fiddler ignore him and continue to play, singing the now famous song "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?". As they are singing, the Big Bad Wolf really comes by, and blows Fifer's house down (except for the roof). Fifer manages to escape and hides at Fiddler's house. The wolf pretends to give up and go home, but returns disguised as an innocent sheep. The pigs see through the disguise ("Not by the hair of our chinny-chin-chin! You can't fool us with that old sheep skin!"), whereupon the Wolf blows Fiddler's house down (except for the door). The two pigs manage to escape and hide at Practical's house. The Wolf arrives disguised as a Fuller Brush man to trick the pigs into letting him in, but fails. When the Wolf tries to blow down the house of Practical, he blows off his pants and shows his naked willy. Without caring in his undressed situation, the Wolf jumps on the roof to enter the house by the chimney. Smart Practical Pig takes off the lid of a boiling pot filled with water (to which he adds turpentine) under the chimney, and the Wolf falls with his naked lower in the pot. The Wolf runs away, while sleighing on his naked lower, while the pigs sing "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?" again. Then Practical plays a trick on the others by knocking on his piano, causing the other two pigs to think the Wolf has returned and hide under Practical's bed. 230px|thumb Three Little Pigs (Los Tres Cerditos) es un cortometraje de Disney de 1933, parte de la serie Silly Symphonies. Again the Wolf huffed and puffed but could not blow it down. So he went on top of the roof and came down the chimney. But the third little pig was clever and put a hot steaming pot below the chimney. So when the Wolf came down. The little pig ate him up. The End. In a 2007 episode, Abby Cadabby calls the three little pigs on her "cell wand," at which point they reveal their names to be Iggy, Wiggy, and Melvin. The pigs have been performed by various puppeteers, including David Rudman, Kevin Clash, Frank Oz, Joey Mazzarino, Martin P. Robinson, Eric Jacobson, Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Matt Vogel, and Noel MacNeal. In 2008, the Three Pigs began making various background appearances on Plaza Sésamo.
