He also played a member of FEMA, along with Robert O'Reilly, in the 1990 made-for-TV movie By Dawn's Early Light (also featuring Glenn Morshower, Ann H. Gillespie, and Steve Rankin). Benzali was once engaged to Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country actress Kim Cattrall, but the two separated before going through with the marriage.
