After winning the 100-yard backstroke at their Pac-10 Conference Championships, Tran continued on to help Cal win a national title at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas in spring 2011. Also, Cindy was a part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team of Cindy Tran, Caitlin Leverenz, Amanda Sims and Liv Jensen swimming the race in 3:28.53.
