  • Golden West Swim Club swimmer, Cindy Tran (a freshman at UC Berkeley in 2010-2011), concluded an outstanding first season with the Golden Bears. After winning the 100-yard backstroke at their Pac-10 Conference Championships, Tran continued on to help Cal win a national title at the NCAA Championships in Austin, Texas in spring 2011. Cindy won three NCAA titles at the meet, setting new American, U.S Open, NCAA, school and pool records in the 200-yard medley relay. Also, Cindy was a part of the winning 400-yard medley relay team of Cindy Tran, Caitlin Leverenz, Amanda Sims and Liv Jensen swimming the race in 3:28.53.
