The Akrelt Refuge was a location on the planet Vulcan which served as a safe haven from the bright sunlight of the Vulcan homeworld and was located at Gol. It was built of stone blocks that formed walls of the structure that was crafted from the base of the canyon walls thus allowing it to retain the cool of morning time. An underground spring also existed that ran through the caves which left a state of dampness on the surfaces of the sanctuary complex. Statues of T'Klass were also present at the site along with numerous other relics. After the death of James Tiberius Kirk in the year 2293, Spock decided to undertake the Kolinahr discipline and travelled to the Akrelt Refuge in order to petition T'Vora for undertaking the rite.
