  • The Masamune is one of the swords that was created by Spark D. Warrior with his devil fruit power. This sword was created to protect, not kill. It's one of the twelve Saijo O Wazamono, under the ownership of Spark D. Mana.
• Masamune was a famous fourteenth century Japanese sword smith. This sword is said to have been crafted by him, but whether that is true or not is unclear. But it is such an incredibly elegant piece of work that the issue of whether or not it was made by Masamune himself feels trivial. Masamune is one of Mitsurugi's weapons in Soulcalibur IV. It, along with Shishi-Oh, is available by default. It has Auto Unblockable Attack C equipped by default as a skill, which gives players a slight chance of turning the next high damage attack into an Unblockable Attack.

It is the key that sealed away a curse in Super Land, and once it was stolen by Leon the curse spread, changing the angelic creatures into grotesque avians. It is regarded as having similar power to the Orbs of Nature and gives a potential explanation as to why there is no Orb of Light. Leon was able to perform Light Magic for a brief time in his battle with Zais during the Sea of Sand saga while wielding the blade.
  • Masamune is the name of several swords. The most famous role of the blade is in Earth VII, where it is the next-to-ultimate weapon of the main character. It is obtained at the end of the Elysium area. As you can see, a hit by Masamune casts 'Raise' on the victim. However, because the effect is cast prior to application of damage, it will not actually raise the victim - it will, however, dispatch of undead enemies with a single hit!
