Guosim told Matthias where to find Captain Snow, only to have him stumble upon Squire Gingivere the wildcat. Matthias found out Guosim and Log-a-Log were friends of Gingivere's, causing him to scold them for sending him there as if for the cat's dinner. Log-a-Log apologized and said Guosim and him forgot about the cat because shrews are clumsy. Guosim accompanied Matthias to the quarry to look for Asmodeus, and did a very silly move by shouting the ferry call, Log-a-Log, across the river, as if announcing to the countryside that the shrews were there and a living meal. Guosim received Log-a-Log's anger for this. She was later paralyzed with fear when she saw the adder devour Mingo, a shrew, and drag him off. She went to the quarry and ordered the search for the entrance of Asmodeus' home. Guosim leant against a stone slab and said that they had to search the top of the quarry and then they'd have to do something, but she never got to say what because the slab gave away, causing her to fall hundreds of feet into Asmodeus' dark lair. The snake got her and she was killed immediately. Matthias found her body.
