Apareció por primera vez en el capítulo La ceremonia del té (ES) / Problemas cocinándose (HA) ‹№› de la cuarta temporada es una de las chicas Kimono de las que Brock se enamora, según Brock estaba preciosa con el kimono que llevaba. Su hermana Sakura decide marcharse con Ash, Misty y Brock, las Chicas Kimono aceptan que se marche si consiguen derrotarlas. En el primer combate ella participa con su Vaporeon el cual combate contra el Poliwhirl de Misty. El combate estaba muy igualado pero el Vaporeon de Sumomo derrotó a Poliwhirl con un rayo aurora. Cuando se enfrentan al Team/Equipo Rocket, su Vaporeon, junto con el Staryu de Misty, utiliza pistola agua derrotando una vez más al Team/Equipo Rocket. Hace otra aparición en el episodio Falta el Espeon (ES) / Espeon no incluido (HA) ‹№›, Brock nombra a las hermanas de Sakura y aparece ella con su Vaporeon. Una vez más es seducida por Brock pero Sumomo le pregunta a Brock cuál es la más bella lo que hace que se esconda detrás de Ash. Cuando baila con su Vaporeon, Vaporeon únicamente da saltos. Por desgracia, es secuestrado junto al resto de las evoluciones de Eevee de sus hermanas (menos Sakura). Al final del episodio es rescatado por el Espeon de Sakura.
