| - The Militaires Sans Frontières travelled through Los Cantos after the main path to the Irazu Crater Base was sealed off, following a confrontation with a T-72 Ural tank. The MSF later destroyed a convoy of transport trucks, and eliminated a number of Peace Sentinel soldiers and UAVs, using the main bridge as a vantage point. The MSF was later dispatched to Los Cantos in order to track down KGB agent Vladimir Zadornov, who had escaped their custody. When briefed on Zadornov's fifth escape attempt, Big Boss's suspicions about someone in their ranks deliberately releasing Zadornov were increased and attempted to ask his deputy commander, Kazuhira Miller, if he is sure someone isn't doing so, causing Miller to explain he doesn't have the time to assemble a mole hunt, while being somewhat disturbed by Zadornov's escape attempts. The MSF also commenced operations in the area itself, including: a sweep operation; a stealth operation; and a "Pooyan" mission to stop an unidentified enemy force from retrieving personnel via Fulton recovery.
