- During the Archie Comics crossover Worlds Collide, a pair of Chao, including one who had taken on the characteristics of a Met, were in the Skull Egg Zone to provide footage of Mega Man, Proto Man, Sonic and Tails as they battled Copy Robot and The Genesis Unit. (Sonic Universe #52)

Obstbäume, Beeren,...). In erster Linie trifft man sie aber im Chao Garten. Jeder Chao ist individuell und sein Aussehen kann variieren. Dies kann auch durch den Spieler beeinflusst werden. Sie hatten ihren ersten Auftritt in Sonic Adventure. Seitdem sind sie ein großer und wichtiger Teil der Sonic the Hedgehog Serie geworden.

Every Chao has a small "Emotion Ball" floating above its head that changes shape depending on what emotion the Chao is feeling. The Chao you get in the eggs included with the first garden are called Normal Chao. They have a light blue color with yellow highlights on the tips of their head, hands, and feet. When Pachacamac and his warriors tried to seize the Super Emeralds the Chao guarded in order to win the war, many of the Chao were hurt in the attack. This enraged Chaos, who turned his wrath on the Knuckles Tribe and wiped them out until the Chao worked together with Tikal and used their powers to seal Chaos and themselves inside the Black Emerald. - The Chao made their Sonic the Comic Online cameo debut appearances in Part 2 of The Syndicate. One could be found in a jar alongside many other classic STC exhibits, although it was unclear whether or not this Chao was still alive. A robotic version existed as Omochao, a friendly guide to the Death Carrier. Unfortunately, it was eaten by a Rexon Badnik. Another Chao appeared in the bonus feature Comic-Strip by Bakasam. This one was Cheese the Chao, friend of Cream the Rabbit. Unfortunately, in what seems to be a recurring event, Cheese was also eaten, this time by Cream. However, Comic-Strip is not considered STC canon and was written for humour only.
- The Chao (チャオ Chao?) are a species from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Their role in the games are to be raised by the player in mini-games, similar to many virtual pets. Chao are somewhat complex: they respond to stimuli, have moods, require food and can be loving or fearful. The word Chao is a pun on Chaos, a word commonly used in the Sonic series and which is why the word remains unchanged when plural. The Chao are the good friends of Cream the Rabbit and Tikal.

Gokū bez najmniejszego problemu pokonuje go i za namową uratowanej wyrusza do zastraszanej wsi.

- Chaos sind wohl mit Abstand die niedlichsten Bewohner des Sonic-Universums. Sie sind kleine Wesen, die sehr vielfältig sind und die Chao Insel bewohnen. Chaos schlüpfen aus Eiern, die von jedem Chao gelegt werden können, da diese Zwitter sind, und kein Geschlecht haben. Im großen und ganzen gibt es mehrere verschiedene Arten von Chaos, die man jedoch in drei Hauptgruppen einteilen kann, die Attribute genannt werden:
* Neutral Chao
* Hero Chao
