Mingo was a shrew who went with the Guosim, Log-a-Log, and Matthias to find the sword of Martin the Warrior. Near the quarry, Mingo was hypnotized and eaten by the giant adder Asmodeus. He was a minor character; not much else is known about him. Mingo had a bigger role in the TV series, in which he explained the "Log-a-log-a-log-a-log!" call to Matthias (instead of Guosim) and was eaten by Asmodeus while tying up the boat instead of while keeping watch for Asmodeus.
