Murray Kash (16th September 1923 - 30th March 2009) played Mike Ritchie on Coronation Street in March and April 1973. His other credits include Hancock's Half Hour and Danger Man. Born in Canada, he graduated with a BA honours in Humanities from the University of Toronto, but left legal studies to take a course at the Academy of Radio and Television arts following which he worked in Toronto and other areas of Ontario. He was married to Libby Morris in 1954 and came to London in 1958 working in theatre and films. As well as being an actor he produced many Country and Western shows. The couple often participated in fundraising shows for the the Stars Foundation for Cerebral Palsy. They eventually returned to Canada, where Kash gave voice classes.
