BIX 325009 was a small molecule that was identified by the UNSC Office of Naval Intelligence to have biological activity specific to the central nervous system, and based on a global proteomic interactions profile, believed to have a weak interaction with protein kinase C and Cav1.2. It was created as one compound in a randomized non-targeted organic synthesis reaction in an effort to generate bioactive small molecules for large-scale compound screens.
