abstract	Rhygent Helkin is a member of Vex Salder's Crimson Guard, part of the Shadow Imperium under Keldon Tyfus's employ. He is well known for his calm, serious demeanor, and the most trusted friend of Vex Salder. Entering the Crimson Guard for training shortly after its establishment, Rhygent became a promising individual. His devotion to the Shadow Imperium was well worth noting, and was only topped by his loyalty to his good friend Vex. A strong-willed man and a talented fighter, Rhygent could hold his own for an extensive period of time in combat, and Vex often thought of Rhygent as the best warrior in the entire Shadow Imperium. Through the Shadow War, Rhygent, like the rest of the Guard, was assigned as Tyfus's personal bodyguard, in a measure to provide protection against Darth Trayus should he decide it was time to end the Supreme Commander's life. He served the role without complaint, though Vex's rising concerns about the direction the Crimson Empire was taking influenced his rising concerns. In the end, he joined the rest of the Crimson Guard in fleeing the Empire to Yinchorr, where he began extended training to mold him into an even more capable warrior.
