It underwent a name change, however, to HIMS Invidious, and served as the flagship for the Imperial Navy throughout the war. After Valak's abdication, the dreadnought fell into the hands of Emperor Kendal Osbourne, who changed the name to HIMS Dark Eminence, and chose it as his flagship. Dark Eminence would lead the Imperial fleet at the Battle of Kappa and later at the Battle of Bothawui, where it received heavy damage. Dark Eminence met its end during the War of the Throne in 12 ABY. The dreadnought was hijacked by Lorn Rhys and his troops and rammed into Guritsan, where it was destroyed along with most of Guritsan. It would not take long for Dark Eminence to be replaced, however, by the equally powerful HIMS Malevolence.
