- Toph Beifong - die größte Erdbändigerin aller Zeiten -, oder einfach nur Toph, ist einer der Hauptcharaktere aus der Serie Avatar – Herr der Elemente. Sie tritt erstmals in der Folge Der blinde Bandit auf, wobei sie in der Folge Der Sumpf ruft Aang erstmals als Vision erscheint. Sie ist eine Erdbändigermeisterin und nennt sich selbst Der Blinde Bandit. Toph sagt öfters aus, sie sei die beste Erdbändigerin der Welt. Später entdeckt sie das Metallbändigen und verfeinert diese Technik.

Blind since birth, Toph was constantly condescended to because of her disability and stature as a little girl, especially by her overprotective parents. Upon discovering badgermoles, Earthbending animals who were blind just like her, she learned seismic sense through them; that is to say, from them she learned the ability to use Earthbending as an extension of her senses, which effectively gave her "sight" through vibrations in the ground.
