Shortly after the accident, a mobster approaches Jack and orders him to throw an upcoming boxing match. When Jack refuses, he is assassinated. Years later, the adult Matt Murdock is a lawyer in New York's Hell's Kitchen and runs a firm with his best friend Franklin "Foggy" Nelson. When the justice system fails, however, Matt becomes Daredevil, the man without fear, to battle crime. Currently, he is on the trail of Silvermane, the faceless leader of the Maggia crime syndicate. Matt encounters a woman named Elektra Nachios, who's father Nikolas has ties to businessman Silvio Manfredi. Nikolas been secretly trying to screw Manfredi over. Later, Daredevil is investigating Nikolas when suddenly, an assassin know as Bullseye appears. Bullseye is famous for never missing a shot, and being able to turn anything he wields into a deadly weapon. Daredevil realises that Bullseye has been sent to kill Nikolas and tries to intervene, even causing Bullseye to miss a shot. Bullseye does not relent, however, and uses one of Daredevil's own weapons to kill Nikolas, framing the hero. Matt next meets Ben Urich, a reporter who has been investigating Daredevil, who reveals that he has deduced his identity. However, Urich believes in Daredevil and thinks he has done good things for the people of Hell's Kitchen, so he won't yet publish his findings as it could jeopardise Daredevil's pursuit of Silvermane. The next night, while searching the city, Daredevil is attacked by Elektra, revealing herself as a martial artist, who is seeking revenge for her father's death. Daredevil tries to proclaim his innocence while Elektra battles him. She eventually wounds and unmasks him, finally realising that he is innocent. When she spots Bullseye, she chases him, but it turns out to be a trap as he then fatally wounds her. Daredevil arrives too late and she dies in his arms. Daredevil decides to put a stop to Bullseye for good and lures him to a local church, hoping to confront him at the spire. Urich, however, learns of the plan and tips off the police. Bullseye arrives and a brutal fight ensues, during which Bullseye manages to overpower Daredevil. While gloating, Bullseye reveals that Silvio Manfredi is in fact Silvermane, and he was also the man who killed Matt's father all those years ago. Using his advanced hearing, Matt learns of a sniper on an adjacent roof taking aim. He manages to get up in time and pull Bullseye's hand into the path of the bullet, before throwing the villain from the spire to his death when he slams into Urich's car. Daredevil heads straight for Silvermane, with the final showdown taking place in the villain's office. Silvermane plays dirty and gains the upper hand, knocking the hero to the floor. Facing defeat, Daredevil's last request is to know why Silvermane killed the people he loved, and the mobster replies that it was purely business. Enraged, Daredevil gets back up and in their final combat, he breaks most of Silvermane's bones. Daredevil's enemy is last seen in hospital, paralyzed. At the end of the film, Daredevil meets Urich, who tells him that he has decided to never publish his findings, choosing instead to assist Daredevil in his never ending mission. Daredevil dives into the night, forever "The Man Without Fear."
