Cape Feathers are a type of feather that transforms Mario and Luigi into Cape Mario and Cape Luigi in Super Mario World. As their caped selves, they can hover in the air and fly, similar to the Super Leaf's effect Finally, the Cape Feather was also made available as a secret item in Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. By scanning in the appropriate card on the e-Reader, the player could upload a Cape Feather into their inventory to use in the game. Cape Mario plays just like he does in Super Mario World, and can even defeat Dry Bones.

  • Cape Feathers appear in Super Mario World: Wii as an uncommon item. They first appear in World 1.
  • The Cape Feather is a Luigi-exclusive power that turns Luigi into Cape Luigi. Luigi can use the cape to swipe at enemies easier than Mario's raccoon tail. Cape Luigi also has a very different style of flight compared to the Raccoon and Tanooki suits, performed by pressing back to gain altitude and pressing forward to dive when in flight. When in flight, Luigi can dive into the ground by holding forward to hit enemies with strength comparable to Wario's ground pound move. Powerups in Mushroom Kingdom Fusion

  • The Cape Feather allows Mario or Luigi to fly and jump very high after getting a running start. Its ability to grant flight is similar to that of the Super Leaf and Tanooki Suit, however the flight can be endless if properly controlled. It can also allow Mario or Luigi the ability to float down like a parachute, and defeat most enemies by whacking them with the cape when nearby. It could also be use to counter Mario from getting hit by enemies as well as repel enemy projectiles such as footballs and baseballs thrown by Chargin Chucks. Unlike the Super Leaf and Tanooki Suit in Super Mario Bros. 3, the Cape Feather could be used to attack enemies underwater.
