| - Kurogane is a fictional character created by the mangaka group CLAMP and appears in their series, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE. A ninja hailing from the country of Japan, he was exiled by the princess he served as he constantly killed needlessly. The princess, a powerful seer, sent him to Yuuko, the Time Space Witch, and placed a curse on him: every time he needlessly killed, he would grow weaker and weaker. To pay for travelling across dimensions so he could get back to Japan he reluctantly gave up his sword Ginryū.
- Kurogane (黒鉄) was a wandering exorcist and the master of Takeshi Kongo. He saved Takeshi from the evil spirit Jaren, inspiring him to become an exorcist. Only three days after they began training together, Jaren consumed Kurogane.

Kurogane tells the tale of "Hitokiri Jintetsu", a boy just in his teens who has become renowned for his swordsmanship and his proficiency in killing, despite his young age. After getting revenge on his father's murderer, Jintetsu is forced to constantly flee from bounty hunters who wish to collect the price on his head. Despite the skill of these killers, none are capable of besting him in combat, and he's consistently victorious. The deaths that lay in wake earn him the "Hitokiri" moniker. Unfortunately, as fate would have it, he ends up meeting his fate not by someone of equal or even greater skill, but rather by a pack of wild dogs. Though he eventually slays them all, he is fatally wounded.
