  • It is a small, rocky, wind-swept island, and totally uninhabited, even by pirates from the surrounding islands. The island is so-named because the pirates of the Basilisks have taken to dumping the severed heads of their victims on its shores, which rot away into large piles of sun-bleached skulls.
  • Only very experienced groups travel here to hunt in the dungeon, as it is a very challenging dungeon. Getting here can be difficult if one has never been to the island before. One way to get there is to travel due south of the landing to Lizard Island. Another way is to travel directly southwest of the Andris Bridge.
  • Skull Island is one of at least two Hawaiian islands available for short-term rent somewhere near Wa Ta Lot Ta Hoie. It is right in the shadow of Pink Unicorn Island. Judging from its appearance and name, Skull Island is probably strongly associated with evil. It is much sought after by evil scientists as a remote island hideout, though it can also serve as a prime location for parties. This will also unlock a movie clip in the Extra menu, or, the player may ignore or jam the machine entirely, opening up even more choices and quests upon Mickey's return to Ventureland.
  • After learning of Ann's disappearance, Denham and his crew came ashore and followed Kong. Along the way, they encountered a Stegosaurus and were attacked by a Brontosaurus while trying to cross a swamp. Eventually they came to a log spanning a chasm and tried to cross it. Kong noticed and grabbed the log bridge, tossing it into the pit below, along with every member of the search team except for first mate Jack Driscoll and Denham himself. Denham returned to the village to regroup with the members of the Venture crew that stayed behind, while Jack continued his pursuit of Kong. Meanwhile, a Tyrannosaurus rex attempted to eat Ann after Kong had set her down on a tree, prompting Kong to come to her rescue. After a vicious battle, Kong killed the T-Rex by breaking its jaws. After a year of disastrous excursions and tragic loss of life, a properly prepared, jointly managed and financed effort was finally organized by the three biggest interested concerns.
