  • Tweety (also known as Tweety Pie and Tweety Bird), is a yellow canary the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series. Tweety appeared in 42 cartoons in the Looney Tunes Golden Age. Despite Tweety's effeminate appearance, Tweety always was male.[citation needed]
  • Tweety Bird (also known as Tweety Pie or simply Tweety) is a canary in the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of animated cartoons. The name "Tweety" is a play on words, as it originally meant "sweetie", along with "tweet" being a typical English onomatopoeia for the sounds of birds. His characteristics are based on Red Skelton's famous "Mean Widdle Kid." Tweety appeared in 49 cartoons in the Golden Age of American animation. On Animaniacs, Tweety had a quick cameo in the Slappy Squirrel short subject, Scare Happy Slappy and appeared in The Warners 65th Anniversary Special.
  • Tweety used to work for an evil magic guy, but she escaped and hid in Teletubby Land Sge was found by the Teletubbies and she became a minion for them. Unfortunately, they never used her and kept her in a cage. She tried to escape, but was attacked by Backbone. He activated on a windy day. He battled Marven and won. He battled Evan and won. He battled Sail and lost. His capture removed Larry from the team. He was later revealed to be a 7 on the Power Scale. Four episodes later, he battled in a battle royale, but was defeated. Two episodes later, he battled in another battle royale, but was defeated. Three episodes later, he was removed from the team by Gremlin's capture.
  • Despite the perceptions that people may hold, owing to the long lashes and high pitched voice of Tweety, Tweety's gender is rather debatable. For example, in an episode called "Snow Business", when Granny entered a room containing Tweety and Sylvester and said: "Here I am, boys!", whereas a 1951 cartoon was entitled "Ain't She Tweet." Also, his species is ambiguous; although originally and often portrayed as a young canary, he is also frequently called a rare and valuable "tweety bird" as a plot device, and once called "the only living specimen". Nevertheless, the title song directly states that the bird is a canary. His shape more closely suggests that of a baby bird, which in fact is what he was during his early appearances (although the "baby bird" aspect has been used in a few later ca
