The Bug-Off is a special even that takes place in Animal Crossing: Wild World for the Nintendo DS. Like the Fishing Tourney where you had to catch the biggest fish, the goal of the Bug-Off is to catch the largest insect by 6:00pm. Doing so will reward the player with the Bug Trophy. Once you think you've caught a large bug, then take it to Tortimer and he'll determine if it is or not. He'll keep the bug, however, so you won't be able to sell it or donate it to the museum after you've given it to him. If you don't have a bug net on the Bug-Off then you'll be able to get one for free from Tortimer by talking to him on this day. The Bug-Off takes place on every third Sunday of June, July, August and September. Winning either this or the Fishing Tourney is the only way to come in possession of
