Robin and his assistants known as the Merry Men lived in Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood was a supporter of the true King of England, King Richard, The Lionheart, but Robin was forced into being an outlaw during Richard's evil brother, John's, rule over the country while the true king was fighting in the Third Crusade. His enemies consisted of the Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John. His other allies included Little John, Friar Tuck, Ivanhoe and Maid Marian.
