Oorvad's loud voice was described as "froglike". During a practice duel with Kyriel Windrunner, Selkee remembered that Oorvad endorsed a quick and ruthless end to a duel, as compared to Kieran Sapphire, who preferred to let his opponents attack for a few rounds to understand their styles. During the Battle of the Sith Star, Sapphire directed Oorvad to take a team of Centurions to guard the Star's bridge against the boarding party of Skavik, Veracht, and Vyrak Legions. Rin Sakaros's position was not attacked during the battle, suggesting Oorvad and his team were successful in holding off any assailants. In 151 ABY, Oorvad resigned his post as Shien instructor and was replaced by Sovi Evnairis.
