Imperial Heavy Energy Pummels were improved versions of the Imperial pummel, large tank-like siege engines in use by the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War. Utilizing a dual system of powerful short-range lasers, pummels were used to ground down enemy defensive fortifications, including walls, antipersonnel turrets, and ground-based shields, allowing infantry and lighter units to breach enemy defenses. Though heavily armored, pummels were also very slow and vulnerable, more so than their predecessors. To compensate for this, pummels were sent into battle escorted.
