- The super-strong Captain Nazi was genetically altered by his scientist father, and developed into the "perfect specimen" in order to fight for Adolf Hitler and the Axis Powers during World War II. Nazi first appeared in Master Comics #21 (December 1941), in opposition to both Captain Marvel and Bulletman. During the second half of his battle with Marvel in Whiz Comics #25 (published the same month), Nazi attacks two innocent bystanders who happened to be fishing near the scene of the battle, after they pull him out of the lake. One of them, an old man named Jacob Freeman, is killed, but the old man's teenage grandson, Freddy Freeman, is saved by Captain Marvel and becomes Captain Marvel, Jr.

He came to blows with Captain Marvel and during a battle was knocked into a lake, he was helped out of the water by Freddy Freeman and his grandfather Jacob and he showed his gratitude by killing Jacob and crippling Freddy. After Freddy received his powers as Captain Marvel Jr., he confronted Nazi and brutally defeated him, he was then sent to Europe to stand trial for war crimes. Captain Nazi recently appeared with a group called The Fourth Reich and battled The Justice Society. They defeated the JSA and took control of the planet by using Obsidian's power to blanket the Earth. Mr. Terrific sent a message back in time to himself when he was in a coma. He was able to tell the JSA what to expect and how to defeat them so this possible future would not occur.

Nazi also serves as a member of Mister Mind's Monster Society of Evil during the WWII years, before making his final Fawcett Comics appearance in Captain Marvel, Jr. #14 in 1944.

During his fight with Captain Marvel, a powerful punch sends him plunging unconscious into a lake. However, Freddy Freeman and his grandfather lift the unconscious man into their fishing boat to prevent him from drowning not knowing who they saved. When Captain Nazi awoke he killed the boy's grandfather and then broke Freddy's back, permanently crippling the boy. However, Freddy was saved by Captain Marvel and became the hero known as Captain Marvel Jr. Junior would go on to confront Captain Nazi multiple times becoming his greatest nemesis. Captain Nazi would sometimes team-up with other villains such as Captain Nippon, Dr. Macabre, and Dr. Eternity.
