The "Song of Double Time" is a song from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It is a variation of the "Song of Time", taught to Link by the Stylin' Scarecrow. The song shifts time forward to the nearest half day, which is either dawn or nightfall. The "Song of Double Time" cannot be used on the night of the Final Day since the next day theoretically does not exist. The "Song of Double Time" is similar in effect to the "Sun's Song" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which allows Link to change day into night or night into day.

  • The "Song of Double Time" is a song from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. It is a variation of the "Song of Time", taught to Link by the Stylin' Scarecrow. The song shifts time forward to the nearest half day, which is either dawn or nightfall. The "Song of Double Time" is similar in effect to the "Sun's Song" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, which allows Link to change day into night or night into day. In the 3DS re-release, the song's effects have been altered. Link can now skip to any hour of the same day, up until the dawn of the next day (or until 5 AM on the Final Day), but it doesn't allow him to go back in time. The song can be played by playing: Y, Y, L, L, R, R. Link can play the "Song of Double Time" on the Ocarina of Time by playing C-Right, C-Right, A, A, C-Down, C-Down. The actual pitches of the notes translate as follows: A, A, D, D, F, F. This song's lyric notes do not exist within Link's menu screen due to it simply being an altered form of the "Song of Time", as opposed to a unique and separate song. In the 3DS re-release, an extra slot is made for the song's recording in the menu screen.
